I think Farmaajo has a good chance specially after this outcome. Congrats to Jawahir but we hoped a different result. The two top positions still remain at he hands of the same usual clans - not so the change Somali was hopping for.

This is the first time in Somali history, that members of Somaliland and Bay/Bakool clans are running for Somali Presidency. Surely history is being made in Mogadishu this year, 2012 elections. Its a most welcome prospect. Also, its the first time that members of D-block are fighting toe-and-nail against each other for the post of the speaker of the parliament, history has been made here. However, I doubt all this is going to materialize, in the end I think the top two posts will go to the same usual suspect clans while the speaker will be occupied by Baidoa clan. That's my prediction, nothing will change.

I don't see Prof. Galayr, Farmaajo or Abdikarin in the list? How can Galayr become a speaker when he's not even in the list?? Also it seems Shariif Ahmed did not only lose his friend's and the warlords he campaigned for but his own seat. I think Shariif Sakiin played this one very well, it will ultimately be a contest between him and A/Wali and which he will win in the end. Shariif Sakiin President on Sunday ayaa kadhacaysa and one of his stooges a speaker, if A/Wali is lucky gets a PM waa Sakiin unaxariisto.
