  1. ^Xunjuf, I like your argument but lets not forget one thing please, that Somaliland is a region within Somalia as far the international community is concerned. Somalia is better than it was a year ago, the conflict and armed confrontations among Somalis is over apart from the Alshabaab held territories. Somali politicians may not like each other, Faroole may not see everything eye to eye with President Hassan or the President may dislike Ahmed Madoobe in the south but I doubt they will ever resolve their differences through use of a gun, those days are gone, its all politics, so Somalia made progress and the days of major conflicts have been brought to a halt. On the international and diplomatic side, its not only the US waryaa, all the international community are on consensus on this, the AU, EU, UN, UK, USA,Turkey. All have different attitude towards Somalia. Somaliland politicians understand all this and of course the growing pressure within their dominion, they want to make a change of direction a gateway sort of thing while they have a favorable position and before its too late.
  2. There is nothing wrong with peaceful demo that's taking place in America, at least there will be no deaths or minimal casualties if any. All the Presidents before him faced demos against them such as Yey and Shariif so it shouldn't be much of a problem for him apart from that this has to come early in his reign as President and sadly that's because the unfavorable positions he took on the issue of Jubba as he was immediately sown in and words like 'Baladwayne hadhisato maamul' iyo 'Kismayo anagaa usoo dhisayna', that lost him this particular community from the get go. If he embraces the demand of the demonstrators, given that its a genuine demand, rethinks and readjusts his earlier positions on that issue then its progress made but if not he expects nothing less than more of this sort and unfavorable actions against him by this community.

If you legit grievience, this is the wrong way to go and the wrong time to voice them considering Somalia has finally taken the first concrete steps toward dowladnemo. This is not about government waryaa and it has nothing to do with political maturity on the Bari's side, its sports and the representation of Somalia coming entirely from group (this got me laughing hard when I heard, even sports), not even a single person from Xamarka cadcad, jareerta, reer Baidoa or any other out of the 4.5 loolz, is there anything ay Somalida marki wax loo dhiibo si caadi ama qofka kufiican lasiiyo intii qabiilkasata isaga kaligiis kala qaybsan lahaa. I think the guy on the picture above has every right to say that this body does not represent me, and no, he doesn't need any particular time to say that.
  4. Toloow mar dhowna Wafti Bay ka yimid miyaa Burundi aadi doona? Wafti oo kayimid Harardheerana maxuu aadi doona congo
  5. Lol, what are they accusing him of ? Some body seems to be making allegations.
  6. ^LOoOL, as a proud member of Unuka would you please share with us if all these men are qualified to do the job
  7. I heard this from a friend and I was laughing hard, not because it was funny but somehow I thought about the 4.5 system, Somalis and clans so now the Olympic committee were supposed to be distributed accoring to the 4.5 rule I think the appointed (or rather self appointed) men should have their position if they are qualified to do the job regardless of their clans but I doubt that may be the case.
  8. This is good news but the Somali government has to grab this opportunity make something out of it.
  9. Somaliland has little bargaining chip remained at their disposal, the pressure that's getting to them is not only the momentum this government has been gaining and the increasing regional stability of the south and Mogadishu, or high profile SL politicians enlisting to join Mogadishu government, the emergence of Khaatumo or Awdal states and the dispute of Puntland with SOOL, SANAAG, the failure of getting recognition for two decades amid the south's archaic situation and the desire for secession that has become synonymous and resoundingly exclusive to one clan, they duriyada clan - that all made the Admin in Hargeisa rethink their strategy, save face and accept to be part of a federal Somalia. That's what's on the table. We will see Insha'llah.
  10. Another dispute and a new political wranglings within Somalis is not good, that will take us disappointingly few steps back, may god. I hope both the entities or the politicians concerned the respect the law and also turn their tone into diplomacy.
  11. Ninkaan ladhoortay lakadhigay fiqi ma LIBAAXSANKTAABTE MIYAA? Congrats to you bro, Alaha kuu fududeeyo howsha cusub Fiqi LST
  12. ^You really don't know that word?
  13. I am not a great fan of reading books but I did read few books in my older age. However if you want to know my first ever books, it was book introduced to me at a very small age called Safiinatul-Salaat at my local mosque. It mainly deals with the Islamic jurisprudence and the purity required of a Muslim person.
  14. I'm married but I'm looking for wife number 2, for some reason the sisters in the west don't like to be 2nd wife, its taught here in the west as I have been looking for a while but Insha'allah I will find one which accepts soon. If you are single, solution is simple, get married, specially if you don't have another wife it should be easy for you, a lot of sisters looking for nimaan waxba isku haynin oo suke ah.
  15. I don't think one can compare the selling of Yaanyo to Khaat. Of course selling Yaanyo is better. We can agree to disagree but that's my humble opinion.
  16. ^You can be Zillionaire all you want, but all I was saying was you wont live comfortable, nor sleep well and never die rich
  17. This is sad and discourages from lot of us going back. This case needs proper follow up.
  18. ^All you are talking about is within the same issue but its funny how you act like a white man at times when we expected you to be Geeley and even if you are not one or somewhat in America, liberal and progressive see things from the psyche of a Somali Geeley. Also its not only about the mayor but its about everything you talked about including the mayor and all other offices in the capital, should it be for all or exclusive to one club/clan. I think that was the point of the poster. This is casual debate and nothing serious.
  19. Khat is drug and selling drugs is bad. Also any money made through illegal means is not blessed and will disappear before a blink of an eye, its, GET tired, SELL drugs, DIE broke.
  20. I don't know why this Che always comes around as simplistic with western goggles. We argue over Xamar, Jowhar or Burco cause its all we have, we don't own Sydney or Washington. Oba, you say rotational is not possible, what about scattered government branches around the country e.g. Presidential place in Hargeisa, PM and the cabinet offices in Xamar and the executive branches or Somali parliament in Bosaso.
  21. Selling tomatoes is good idea, selling any type of food is an excellent idea. Food is primary necessity whereas technology is secondary.
  22. ^I may agree with you to some extent, and going by your logic, since Somalis don't like to share the administration of a city with capital status, it will even be unlikely for them to share every inch of the country. Markaa what is the solution, do you think the capital should be rotational?
  23. ^There will never be a neutral capital you said. That's a contentious point which I agree with you for the most part and its the answer, the fitting answer you should have given OP instead of going the other direction, you along with Taleexi. I mean, honest is the best policy.
