Somali women then and somali women today
Waranle_Warrior replied to oba hiloowlow's topic in General
^Yes there is big difference between Dirac iyo Guntiino vs mini-skirt. If you are saying they are not Islamic and are same, yes, you are right they are all unislamic but one is distinctively Somali while the other was not, and no, I don't know of many Somali woman that wore mini-skirts. -
This is how Faroole and the gangs do business!!!

Poor attempt from Horseedmedia. Sad how they have become, I have once relied upon their news on the region. Now they have lost their reputation and credibility. -
It seems the seasonal Muslim bashing is in full swing and the atheists in the block are working full time.

Somali women then and somali women today
Waranle_Warrior replied to oba hiloowlow's topic in General
I don't think the first picture represents Somali women then, when you conduct a survey or make presumption about an issue one must strive to take or use the right sample. Its time for sampling lesson - where are the statisticians? A group of woman gathered in one balcony that may work for one (mini-skirt or Airline as hostess) company do not represent the Somali woman in the 60's. Scrutinizing the picture further I begin to doubt that its even Somali or in Somalia, even thought the picture is old and somewhat color, I see what looks like a while lady or oriental figure, could be in Philippine or India, who knows? -
I don't think you are normal, not to me at least. You are complaining about what your friends say, WTF?

All the single ladies, all the single ladies....

Somalida, and I'm talking about the real Somalis and not the fish and chips in the west, they come of age at 12. Wiilku normally between the age of 12-16 years hadii laga arki waayo, karti, dadnimo, garasho iyo nin karameednimo waa la iska halmaamaa. As the Somali adage goes: wiil 12 jiray haduu lali ahaan waayo. marti leyl u soo galay haduu luun ka bi'in waayo. looyaanta dirireed haduu luufka kicin waayo. raganimo luddiis kuma jirtee liicye bal ogaada -

U.N. chief suggests review of 21-year-old Somalia arms embargo
Waranle_Warrior replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
Somalia does not need arms. Having guns sparsely and more guns on the street was the root cause of the Somali problem. Somalia is not at war with its neighbors nor does need more guns to secure its borders but within its vicinity. And it has been proven that having more guns does not solve, did not solve and will never solve Somali on Somali conflict. Somalia needs bridges, roads, building infrastructure capacity, schools and hospital. Please no more money spent buying more guns, no budget on arms should be spent, well at least for the next ten years. That's my opinion. -
Barre Hiiraale Kismayo is under Kenyan occupation
Waranle_Warrior replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
There is no room for the likes of Barre - no more warlords. He should stop using Gedo clans name, they have moved on from that era. -
What political cards? LOol nimankan secessionist waa isla baxbaxeen as if they have or historically ever had any muscle or weight when it comes to Somali politics. No wonder their genuine and heavy weight politicians like Siilaanyo or others did not comment but its their dampest politician, Yalaxow of Hargeisa jumping the gun speaking like a little kid, ha isku keen dhagdhajin kulahaa kkkkkkkkkkkkk - what a funny childish comment but no surprise such words were expected from Mr. Waraabe who also said so many famous phrases that are needless to quote. Only few months ago the very same man was praising Puntland and saying they control the politics of the whole Somali peninsula including Somaliland, waaana nagaga dheereeyeen siyaasada kulahaa. Shall I post that clip????????? Faroole was trying to sound too nice and to make it easy for his in-laws the secessionists from the disappointments and the nightmares they had as they suffered the worst week of their political goals last week since the US's full recognition of the Somali government, UK Ambassador's confirmation and releasing UK will never recognise SL and the British raising terror alarm ordering all its citizen to leave Somaliland. That was hard, extremely hard on SL and Faroole was speaking from the position of strength indicating to them that with our formula, the Puntland way, you can become influential within Somali politics the movers and shakes like we are, think your ways, change course and embrace it before its too late but the secessionist politicians are too thick to get the hint. Xx, the worst week ever of Somaliland politics and you think Faroole wanting to join SL - you sure take politics on face value.

Samafal;914727 wrote: Interesting. One wonders why Mr Culusoow is facing opposition so early in his tenure which has not been faced by Sh Sharif? Because he looks terrible and his leadership has been disaster so far having done nothing tangible on the ground since selected, and astonishingly he lately adopted Shariif's ways of traveling abroad. He's in London tonight. But I think the President said he likes demos against him in his speech at MN if people don't use guns but march on the street. It seems he's liking this one too as will the more demos against him. -
Puntland: The genocide in south Somalia in 1991 can't be forgotten
Waranle_Warrior replied to Saalax's topic in Politics
^Lol, may be or perhaps he got more money for it. Waryee Wadani lets not compare Mogadishu to the North, people in the north are more or less peace loving and also all the cities in Somalia were predominantly settled historically by a certain clan except Mogadishu. -

^I heard a little bit of that happened and then afterward few short lived battles ensued and kadib caqliga shaqeeyay oo reerayahowgii dariska ahee ee isdhalay aan iska heshiino ayay dhaheen oo waa lawada heshiiyay, mase sidaas maahayn. -
Lol It shows how woman are more stable and need more time and effort to win them over while a man's brain is irrational and dwell on quick, temporary short living matters.

Wadani;914474 wrote: Wallahi I dont hate any clan. Look at my name bro. Im just saying, all sides need to admit their crimes. Oba himself told you he lost many relatives in the recent war in xamar, yet u made no mention of this and started talking about the 91 massacre. Do u only care about atrocities committed againt ur clan? Anigu I want caddaalad for all the clans ma garatay? This includes yours, and insha'Allah all stolen properties will be returned in due time. You make sense in this response bro and its a nice come back. However, if you are fair you can not compare the era of the 90's to what happened in 2006-2010. Also the topic was about clan cleansing and civil war of 91 of which neither of it could be termed to the later. People were being rounded in number and being killed for being from a certain clan in the 90's, the era of la isku dhihi jiray 'yaa tahay' or lahjadiisa ii fiiri and you are dead. On the other hand in 2006-2010, of course no one is denying that atrocities had occurred and actually the period was not only 2006-2008 (Yey's time) but continued 2010/2011 during Shariif's reign people were dying in Mogadishu daily in their dozens until Alshabaab were removed from the city and the heavy clashes stopped. It was the TFG(with its all different clan leaders even with a change of the head ) vs Alshabaab, now only picking, selecting and pointing finger Yey and somehow turn into a civil war of Somali clans was the reason I called qabyaladist. I don't think Shariif was hunting a particular clan when he was head and the Ugandans were heavily shelling the city randomly and were fiercely engaging battles with Alshabaab on the streets of Mogadishu. Similarly, Yey was representing the TFG which constituted many Somali clan, yes it was corrupt, incompetent and reckless may be but I don't understand how one can describe it as clanish - and if so, how could it be clanish when Yusuf is head and not when Shariif is head. Sxb, xaqiiqda lagama fogaado, xaqiiqduna waxay tahay dadbaa reerka ay yihiin iyo isirkooda iyagoo maato ah lagu dilaayay 91 ilaa hadana guryahooda dadkale ay daganyihiin. Waxkale oo isdagaalayay iyaga dadkaan ay kudhaxdhinteen majirin ee waa dad isirka ay galabsaday. -

Get these local 'gaari gacanlayaal' boys out of the shining hot sun, if any of them gets injured will die of bleeding god forbid. You need proper care and health checks if you engage in certain sports like Boxing.
