^You can say whatever you want but the reality is this President does not command a great respect from majority of the Somali people except few of his HAG close tied links and comrades. The people Jubba, Puntland, Bay-Bakool, Shabeelaha House are all suspicious and quite surprised with his blatant clanish policies. Even he introduced some favoritism within his own HAG sub groups. I will feel very pity to see these euphoric secessionist faces saddened in a short while just like used to happen whenever they got a little too excited, every few years, about finally achieving the dream and recognition being on the corner. Calm down boys, aren't you getting a little too excited for what the politics is worth and don't you ever learn lessons from the not so far gone history.

Lets be realistic waryaada, SNM clan cannot be their own country or decide whatever they want within Somalia. They are not more powerful or influential than the D-block or H-block. If that happens, then the D-block and H-blocks will be their own country, each to his own and at least they will have peace in their own mini-country as there will be no more D vs H shenanigans. Trust me when SL becomes a country of its own, the rest of Somalia will be divided into 3 or 4 other mini countries.

Lets all be realistic and logical here, we all fully know that SL will attend the conference in May, whether Siilaanyo gets something to persuade his constituency from the Brits as NGONGE suggests or have an ObSERVER(LOL) status as JB suggested. The SL government will attend the Somalia conference in London as part of the Somali factions.

Scottish or Federal model, SL will remain part of Somalia. No clan is able to call the shots against other Somali clans specially when the SFG is weak and unable too make a decision. If SL gets what most of you are suggesting as referendum so will every other clan state call for the same thing, Ahmed Blacky and Jubbaland guyz will declare themselves a break away region of Somalia. As we all know and see from everyday experiences all Somalis are copy paste, if one tries something and gets away with it so will everybody else copy and boom the SFG in Mogadishu will finally see itself lost control of all the country. There will be no referendum and SL will be part of Somalia, of course there will be other negotiations.
