Aadan Jugle;839413 wrote: Moon, The images became tiny, but thanx for the help, You've chosen a small size option like avatar, what you do is click the "re-size" drop down under the "email" and choose a bigger resolution, 800x600 is the best size. after you upload don't take the tiny icon's URL, but double click it and when it becomes full photo copy the URL address. -
Che -Guevara;839415 wrote: LOL@Aadan Aw Xiin....Aadan is part of pattern of any secessionist that joins SOL-angry, at times bitter and obsessed with kacaan while selling us the idea of democratic Somaliland but you push their buttons on issues of SOOL and secession, their ugly qabyaalad like any other Somalis comes to town. I give him couple months to mellow down. What did our dear friend XX used to say, dadkaa guuray dhulka..... Secessionists always join SOL fuming and foaming, but time and realty shapes them later, remember how XX used to repeatedly use the term Konfuurians, but now you even see him sometimes saying Haa aboo noo. Haye Aadan soo daa bahasha, which habar is ontop these days?

Sheekh Xasan was part of the first , he was not invited to the 2nd conference. good. waiting for your full report in the near future.

xiinfaniin;839393 wrote: My in-depth info will income insha Allah... Faroole got exactly what he wanted ---despite the controversy and the bad pr, he showed political maturity and leadership. He was well received by the Turks. Turks are committed but their commitment depends on their domestic politics and economic growth. Erdogan approach to Somalia has a less understood, domestic politicking with intriguing political crosscutting between NGOs, Business men and politicians all with Islamist orientation . Its good to hear that, but they need to be very careful and be aware of Somali fragility and the mistrust. And who is this Xasan Jaamici we were hearing in the last few weeks? was he actually the power behind the conference? Elaborate what Faroole got out of this, Any immediate projects for Puntland xoonow?

Its good to have from the horse's mouth, give us more info Xiin. Who is funding these projects, Turkey alone or EU+UN?. and what makes you think the Turks won't cut and run once they get into grips into Somali psyche?

Abtigiis;839328 wrote: Islam hasn't solved this for over a thousand years and will not solve it in the future. Social enlightement through education and economic empowerment of the oppressed minorities are the game changers!! Of course islamic teaching can contribute to the social enlightment, but it cannot do the job per se. Abtigiis, your right education and economic empowerment will help resolve this issue, but Islam practically abolished these stigmas in the first generation especially the 23 years of the Prophet's life as a leader, Blacks and slaves were untouchables, and Islam empowered them to say no, for example when one companion (Abu Darr) called Bilal "son of black mum" the prophet got very angry and told Abu-darr he was a man with a sick heart, and Abu darr said he felt so ashamed he put his cheek on the floor and asked Bilal to stand on it. These untouchables become military leaders, scholars, businessmen and played big part in society. But sadly, things went back to old days ignorance after the death of the first generation of companions.

Horta ogow the thread is a news from a well known website I can not authenticate whether its true or false, secondly, I told you it doesn't matter if they are 750 or 75 km from Kismayo the war is already lost by the youth. I think the Kenyans might not be able to subdue Kismayo alone since its the economical hub of the Youth and will fight to the last man, but my prediction is with the help of AMISOM from the north (already preparing to move south from Afgoye) and the Ethiopians who I believe will assault the region from the west coming down from Gedo and mid jubba regions.

Sayid*Somal;839275 wrote: It is not a racist per say - rather a social outcastism (sp) which is actually worse than racism and must be eradicated and only Islam is strong enough to eradicate it. Agree with you Sayid, Islam is strong enough to eradicate it but sadly the Ulama are not doing anything about it, its easy to say "We are all equal" but you need to do it practically, for example if you read the seerah of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) he was a man of practice and he eradicated lots of society ills in his time by taking strong action against it, like his marriage of Zainab bint Jaxash, also when he made Bilal, Salman al-farisi, Suheyb Ruumi and many outcasts his beloved and closest companions, but hey, most Ulama of today heed to society pressure and don't dare to give their daughters hand to an outcast.

Is that what you call net closing?. Maadeey, horta welcome back bro, we were worried for you're well being. To be honest I don't know the geographical distances of the area, but one thing is for sure, Alshabaab are on the retreat, you will have to admit that unless you are M.Said Saxaf aka comical Ali who was saying "I can assure you, there are no American tanks in Baghdad" while the cameras were filming otherwise in his background. They might be 75 or 750km from Kismayo, but Alshabab already lost the war.

Xaaji Xunjuf;839284 wrote: Even if Alshabaab is removed the rival clans will do everything to fill the vacuum the aftermath after the removal of Shabaab will be the most interesting part Sharif wants to rule Kismayo from Mogadishu perhaps using Sierra leone troops they are on their way. We also have the Ras kambooni militia controlled by Ahmed blackie today they are allied to the TFG, but when sharif reveals his plans for the juba regions things will drastically change.Afmadow dhooblay are tribal homelands of Ahmed Blackie and his clan, every one will race towards Kismayo and try to capture it Azania state jubalandstate jubaras state and the TFG. and don't forget Col Hiiraale and his militia from Gedo and Caabudwaaq who will jump to every opportunity to claim Kismayo, you also have the beesha afraad or D!gil & M!rifle who want to establish a maamul goboleed with 6 regions including Kismayo, and finaly you have Morgan boys and Caanoole militia who are fighting under Madoobe now, but will they continue to be so after Kismayo falls or will they claim piece of the cake. Kismayo issue is a time bomb for the government and it will be interesting to see how Gaas & Shariif resolve it. After Muqdisho, Kismayo and Galkacyo are the most troubled cities in Somalia and solving them will definitely bring long term stability.

Somalia;839108 wrote: You are such a silly being. He was a trader, and a former employee. He was charged due to insider trading. I asked you of what was behind the collapse of 2008, that Goldman Sachs was never investigated for but everyone know that did it. Go back and read my comment. I ask you again, has Goldman Sachs been investigated for what they've done? I don't like when people argue for the sake of argument. read here again, this is not what you called "Trader & former employee" this was their Director" and was part of the board which took part on the collapse of the bank, Civil fraud charges were brought against Mr Gupta by the US Securities and Exchange Commissioner in March. Those charges allege that Mr Gupta divulged secret information about Goldman Sachs, which Rajaratnam traded on. His lawyer Gary Naftalis told Reuters news agency: "Any allegation that Rajat Gupta engaged in any unlawful conduct is totally baseless. The facts demonstrate that Mr Gupta is an innocent man and that he has always acted with honesty and integrity. "He did not trade in any securities, did not tip Mr Rajaratnam so he could trade, and did not share in any profits as part of any quid pro quo." Recorded phone calls between the two men were played to the jury during Rajaratnam's insider trading trial. The jury heard that on 23 October 2008, at a private meeting of Goldman Sachs board members, the board was told the firm had incurred a quarterly loss for the first time in the bank's history.. These companies were investigated by the FBI and many of them condemned by the congress finacial commetee. Not happy with that, check this; http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2008/sep/24/wallstreet.freddiemacandfanniemae

Somalia;839100 wrote: Ok, another question. Lets take a company, Goldman Sachs, they used to bet against assets they put out, knowing that they were worth nothing while investors bought them. They haven't been charged, does that mean they are not corrupt? Geedi, who stole money from the government by signing a fake oil deal with a Kuwaiti company and then resigning over the feud, is not corrupt? Accusation is one thing, and proving is another. Goldman Sachs, Enron, Worldcom, Xerox, and many corporates have been investigated by the highest authorities and condemned by law, that is similar to what I am asking for, there might be circumstantial evidence or we might have a strong gut feeling about someone's behavior, but justice says until you have solid concrete evidence you cant label somebody a "THIEF", otherwise we might have XX accusing you of theft and the whole SOL nomads will start lynching you.Proof my friend Proof.

World leopards distribution. .....The leopards are dispersed over a wider area today, than that of any of the other large cats. Ranging across most of the African continent, with the exception of the Sahara Desert rgeion. Throughout parts of Asia Minor and the Middle East to India, Pakistan, China, Siberia, much of mainland southeast Asia, and the islands of Java and Sri Lanka. The size of the leopard varies greatly in different geographical regions. There are subspecies of large leopards in Iran and West Africa and small subspecies in Somalia and Java. The leopard averages between five and eight feet in length and weighs from 60 to 210 pounds in the wild. Distribution of the leopard reflects the diverse adaptability of the group, extending throught the African continent and much of southeast Asia, including the Arabian peninsula and Indonesian islands. It is at home in woodlands, lowland forests and mountain heights, savannas, and even dry steppe habitats. The leopard's remarkable adaptability to different environments is an indication that it is basically an unspecialized animal, favoring forest and forest boundary habitats where it can utilize trees for protection and observation platforms........

Somalia;839084 wrote: In which functioning Somali court would you have him convicted? To argue against the notion that he's corrupt is like saying pigs can fly.. a witness, a bank account deposit statement, or an authenticated document will help me to label somebody "corrupt", until that, its just a hearsay and gossips, and I withheld the basic right of "Innocent till proven guilty". You have problem with that?

Oba, what about Adeer Cali M. Geedi running for presidency or PM? do you support it since we heard what he did. "Buying John Grang's lush villa in Nairobi with God knows how much money, plus, his son's lavish wedding of the century party". These are all allegations until they are proven, I believe all these politicians deserve second chance until they are charged, convicted, and then banned from running for office.
