diamond Princess, When you come back to "sum" things up, here are some questions I had. As you can see they did had nothing similar like it is now were men can be the house helpers and women can be the workers. Because of this new change women wanna be better then men all the time. What Changed? Our needs have changed and therefore love changed. Now love all it seems to be is sex, sex and more sex. Who's needs changed? Womens? what were they before and what are they now? Women are the toys and men are the ones who are the sexual enjoyers I really want to know what this statement is based on.

Originally posted by Opinionated: If you want to feel free to slap around your wife, go to a country that doesn't care. But PLEASE do not go around posting these types of topics to show feminism in a bad light. Seems like you missed the point of the post. whether that was intentional or not is irrelevant. I'm not encouraging or supporting violence against women ( or anyone else). I read this article and was fascinated by the picture of modern society that it painted. Like all other man-made laws, this one is flawed and is constantaly used not to undermine men, but to destabalize the traditional family unit. That is an opinion you are welcome to embrace or reject. I was presented with a number of arguments for and against Feminism and after considering all the information I came to the conclusion that the feminist movement, in it's inner core may have the interest of women at heart but its presentation allows for a lot of misinterpretation. As far showing it in a bad light, I don't have to. Any self-thinking human being can clearly see the co-relation between the feminist movement and the errosion of family values.

What do you mean FAKE?????? is she fake because she's xamari? or did she actually do something to deserve your anger? either way, instead of being happy for your brother you choose to sabotage him because you don't like the girl. and then you run off and plaster your hate online....if you're really serious why don't you just poison the girl or throw her off a building. you haven't presented a good explanation for your hate so I doubt anyone can help you. you need a ethnic sensitivity class

US Attorney General John Ashcroft was visiting an elementary school. After 15 minutes speaking he says, 'I will now answer any questions you have.' Bobby stands up and says: 'I have four questions': 1. How did Bush win the election with fewer votes than Gore? 2. Why haven't you caught Osama bin Laden? 3. Why are you using the American Patriot Act to limit civil liberties? 4. Where are the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? Just then the bell goes off and the kids rushed out to play. Upon returning, Mr. Ashcroft said: "I am sorry we were interrupted. I will answer any questions you have.' A little girl called Julie stands up and says: 'I have six questions': 1. How did Bush win the election with fewer votes than Gore? 2. Why haven't you caught Osama bin Laden? 3. Why are you using the American Patriot Act to limit civil liberties? 4. Where are the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? 5. Why did the bell ring twenty minutes early? 6. Where is Bobby?

Feminist reply????? hey I didn't post this to start an argument. It's just a point of view that makes some sense to me.

By Henry Makow Ph.D. July 07, 2003 We live in a culture that doesn't admit that women need sex every bit as much as men, if not more. Conservatives like to put women on a romantic pedestal. Women are virginal and sexless. Feminists deny women need men for anything. "Women are made to feel guilty for needing men," my wife said. "We're told we're weak, co-dependent or lacking in self-esteem." My 15-year-old son has also inculcated this message from TV: "Women don't need sex," he said. "They're just doing men a favor." Sex and love have become horribly confused. When religion held sway, they were inseparable (i.e. marriage.) But today "sexual liberation" has freed sex from love. It has taken love's place. Millions of men and women behave like addicts. They use sex to assuage a desperate craving for love that only it can satisfy. DESPERATELY SEEKING LOVE An "independent" movie, "The Business of Strangers" explores the effect feminism has had on modern women. Writer/director Patrick Stettner illustrates how American women have traded love for the sterility, banality and inhumanity of corporate culture. Two women are stranded overnight at an airport hotel while on a sale trip. Stockard Channing plays "Julie Styron," successful divorced 45-ish VP sales whose best friend is her secretary. Julia Stiles plays Paula Murphy, a tough 25-ish "writer" who works the overhead. The movie shows how career has supplanted family for women like Styron. Feminism promised that women could have both, but this did not work out. Forty seven per cent of 40-something women with professional degrees have no children. Only 14% of these women said they didn't want children. ("Creating a Life: Professional Life and the Quest for Children" by Sylvia Ann Hewitt) Styron is fired without warning. But she is oddly indifferent when she immediately lands an even better job as a CEO. ODE TO WASTE & FRUSTRATION In the hotel bar with Styron, Murphy recognizes Nick Harris a slick young corporate head-hunter. He is the man who raped her best friend years ago at a frat party. She lures him to Styron's suite and puts tranquilizers in his drink. After he passes out, the two women indulge in an orgy of hatred over his unconscious body. They undress him, cover him with obscene graffiti, smear blood and strike him. Both women clearly despise men. Murphy confides it was actually she who suffered the rape. However, it emerges later that Nick is a rapist in her mind only. Styron learns that he had never been to the city where the rape supposedly took place. Men are "rapists" because they are not giving women the love they need. The result is self-loathing and resentment against men. Feminism first makes women and men incompatible; then it exploits women's frustration and rage. "WHAT DOES WOMAN WANT?" Freud was unable to answer this question despite "thirty years of research into the feminine soul." Chaucer's "Wife of Bath" knew the answer: Woman wants to be loved. She'll do anything for love, even if it means becoming a feminist. Many Western women today are dysfunctional because they are getting contradictory messages. Society tells them to be "strong and independent," i.e. successful in a career. But this behaviour is masculine and makes men feel redundant. Men don't like these women. Thus women are doing what society tells them to do, yet they are not getting the male love they expect and need. Women are loved when they put their husband and children before themselves. It is feminine to self efface. Men love these women because they become part of them. I am not against a woman having a career, only putting it before marriage and family. GETTING DATING STRAIGHT A single friend characterized a typical date this way. He describes his work and seeks affirmation and respect. She describes her work and seeks affirmation and respect from him. They never see each other again. (They are already competing.) This is NOT how heterosexuals mate. Women are hypergamous, which means they seek men of higher power and status. Nurses marry doctors. On a date, a man reveals himself and his vision of life. She decides if she's interested in him or not. If she is, she affirms him by her acceptance and encouragement. In marriage, she demonstrates her love by trusting him to take care of her interests. He also affirms her by seeking her acceptance. Yes, he also wants her to be capable and successful. But his recognition and nurturing come later. All successful organizations are hierarchical. The heterosexual family is male dominated. If you wanted to destroy it, you promote equality. Our culture is doing this. THE FEMINIST TRAP It is mind-boggling but our politicians, media and educators are deliberately sabotaging society. Feminism like its Communist forebear dogmatically denies human sexual differences, such as the fact that men have 10 times the testosterone levels of women. There are over 900 Women's Studies Programs in the United States teaching impressionable young women to deny their femininity. According to "Issues in Feminism: An Introduction to Women's Studies" femininity is "patriarchal mind control." The "best slaves are the ones who don't even know they are slaves." Who authorized this indoctrination in lesbian dysfunction? Feminism is another manifestation of Communism, which was always sponsored by the international bankers and their corporate allies. Their goal is to transfer all power to a global state, which they control. By harnessing the authoritarian power of the state, Big Brother will serve Big Business. The stated goal of the Communist Manifesto is to destroy the nuclear family. People without stable families are easy to distract and control. Sex starved, isolated, and dysfunctional, the few children they have are also messed up. Last week, we learned that the U.S. birth rate is at the lowest point in history. WOMAN THE MULTIPLIER (MAN X WOMAN = CHILDREN) A woman's elaborate reproductive apparatus has a profound influence on her psyche. Each month she produces an egg and she is devoted to seeing that egg fertilized, giving birth and raising a child. On the other hand, a woman is the fertile ground for a man's spirit to grow. First she accepts his spirit. Then she accepts his seed, from which a child grows. Men need to be lovingly received and affirmed. Women need to be possessed and cultivated. This is wholeness. Their child symbolizes it. When this connection is stymied, we have arrested development. Many women become angry and psychotic like Styron and Murphy. Men have become detached and selfish. Both are obsessed with sex. The media makes women appear like remote goddesses but they are passionate sexual creatures that need committed love and direction from a man. In a true marriage, two people become one. Each complements the other. Women's strengths should not be the same as men's and vice versa. Independence is the big issue in feminist marriages. They are mergers, a pooling of assets to achieve economic and sexual synergies. The two people fail to bond and remain immature. They struggle for power and break up. CONCLUSION Heterosexual society has been under sustained psychological attack designed to arrest human development and decrease population. Feminism is the weapon of choice. It encourages women to deny their femininity and act like men. Feminine women are characterized by selflessness. They are not hunters. They are not killers. They are a little vulnerable in a worldly sense. How do men respond to them? By wanting to nurture and protect them. This is how men love. This is what women want. In "The Business of Strangers" both women have become hunters. As a result, they hate men but worse they hate themselves. Victims of a diabolical plot, they have mutated. They need a man's love in order to be themselves again.

Henry Makow August 23 2003 In 1931, Clark Gable's acting career took off after he decked Barbara Stanwyck in the movie Night Nurse. He got 10,000 fan letters from breathless females. Today male and female superheroes routinely slug it out on the big screen but if ordinary men and women so much as shove, they can be arrested for "domestic assault." Men risk jail, legal bills, and the loss of family, house and job if they so much as argue with a woman. This is the result of the widespread "zero tolerance" policy which defines domestic assault as any physical contact, no matter how innocuous. The charge is laid by the state even if no harm has been done. Ostensibly this policy protects women but its real purpose is to emasculate men and persecute heterosexuals. It's another front in the Rockefeller-based elite's campaign to degrade society, destroy family and decrease population by making heterosexuality unworkable. THE DANGER ZONE Couples all experience stress, especially if they have children. Now a woman having a tantrum can incarcerate her husband simply by dialling 911. She can hold this threat over his head. The policy undermines male leadership. A husband called his wife "lazy." A neighbor told her to "teach him a lesson." So she called the police and falsely charged him with slapping her. "Now she needs help with the children and but we have to live apart," he said. "She is very upset and sorry." "Women make false charges like crazy," a Legal Aid lawyer said. There is no penalty for doing this. A male said his common law wife falsely charged him to get him out of the house. From the back of the police car, he saw her standing on the lawn with her boyfriend. Another man heard the 2 a.m. "knock on the door" after he had broken up with his girlfriend earlier the same night. She charged him with holding her arms (when she was hitting him.) He had a hefty legal bill and risked losing his job. The majority of these cases are "stayed" after many court appearances because the women won't testify or its his word against hers. WELCOME TO THE NEW WORLD ORDER The policy accustoms people to the interference of police in their personal lives, which is the hallmark of dictatorship. Having an argument is now a crime. "The walls are thin," one couple said. They were arrested after a neighbour heard voices raised. A witness vouched they didn't touch each other but the cops have no discretion. People lose respect for the law. "It's supposed to be a free country but it don't seem free any more," a man told me. The policy is a grotesque boondoggle for police, therapists, prisons, courts and lawyers. It swells the ranks of the bureaucracy which has an economic stake in the elite's new world order. In Winnipeg where I live, half the 1200-man police force is dedicated to domestic violence. "To me that statistic is staggering," police Chief Jack Ewatski, told the Winnipeg Free Press "It puts a significant stress on our ability to police the city in other areas." More than half the inmates at the overflowing "Remand Centre" are husbands. Special facilities have been built at a penitentiary to house 200 more "domestics." Most of these men have yet to be convicted of anything. NINETY PER CENT TRIVIAL I have interviewed about 65 people charged with domestic assault for my web site, www.zerotolerancesucks.com. Most of these people have limited means. Their fights are usually trivial, harmless and involve alcohol. I met only one person who fits the profile of a "battered woman." Even she wants the choice of charging her abuser or not. She feels she can handle her situation. A veteran lawyer who specializes in domestic violence confirmed that only 10% of his clients fit the profile of chronic wife beater. Most people call the police to help defuse a tense situation only to be arrested, finger printed and jailed. They miss work and lose jobs. "Sometimes I deserve a smack," one male said. "She gave me one. I pushed her out of the way and left. We're fine. We're a normal couple. We had one rough night. No one was hurt. No one charged anyone." I do not condone or encourage domestic violence of any kind. But most of these incidents should not involve police. Police should intervene only when someone has been injured or complains. They should be given discretion over whether the complaint is serious. When two men in a bar get into a fight, there is a mediation process. No charges are laid for a first offence. Why are lovers treated differently? Finally, I have seen only one same-sex couple (2 lesbians) in 20 courthouse visits although domestic violence is reputed to be fairly common among homosexuals. WOMEN FAVORED YET ALSO VICTIMIZED "A lawyer said: "The women call the shots." Police often refuse to accept a man's charge. When a wife bit his husband's finger, the cop told him: "What was your finger doing in her mouth?" Another man was told to "take it like a man." Yet the system is capricious. Women are often victimized. One mother of four on social assistance slapped her common-law husband when he said he didn't care about the children. He pushed her against a wall and she called police. They arrested only her. "That's what I get for being honest," she said. "I don't know why I'm being persecuted." Another woman slapped her boyfriend when he made light that she was pregnant with his child. He called the police and she was arrested. Legal fees: $1200. Another woman said: "My ex boyfriend called me from jail. He was out in two days and bothering me again. What's the point of calling the police? It's not worth the trouble." In the crush of trivial cases, women in genuine danger are overlooked. Feminist activists don't care about women who are "sleeping with the enemy." They are using endangered women to advance the elite's Communist lesbian agenda. A MOCKERY OF JUSTICE The zero tolerance policy makes a mockery of the principles of justice. A real crime (i.e. injury) must take place before someone is arrested and jailed. There should be a presumption of innocence. There should be evidence and not just one person's word. Domestic violence was not a problem before feminists and their elite sponsors invented it. It isn't a problem today. For example, according to the 1999 Canadian General Social Survey, only 7% of people married or common law experienced "some type of violence" within the previous five years. These are almost evenly divided between men and women. The rate of spousal homicide for wives is 7 per million in Canada. In the U.S., the murder rate for wives/girlfriends is between 1 and 4 /1000th of one percent depending on race. CONCLUSION Something fundamental has gone awry when half the police force is dedicated to marital spats. Heterosexuals should wake up and smell the coffee. We have been under sustained attack for over 40 years. It is no accident that the roles of wife and mother have become stigmatized and men have been demonized. It's no accident that, as with people who have a terminal disease, we hear little discussion of our collective future. Society is victim to an insidious campaign of elite social engineering and political persecution. It's time we told our Lucifer-loving financial elite, "Enough."

No one's answered my question YET. everyone seems so hung-up on what the guy should be doing and how he should be treating his woman, but what is she doing for him? Cook, clean and take care of the future kids? I'd "assume" that woman would be worthy of all my cash and romantic efforts. As you can all see I'm quite clueless on this "woman's worth" issue but I'm starting to see that I'm not the only one. I need some of the "articulate" sisters in here to explain what it is that is being offered. Thank you

american society; one child is the solution~!!!!!!!!!!
underdog replied to somalialover's topic in General
I agree with you points as it refers to "American" society. but the answer to all the problems you have metioned here lies in the lifestyle of the parents. firstly, the cost of raising one child today is the same if not less than raising a child in the old days. If you logically separate the needs and wants of the modern family the mathematics are strongly in favor of non-essentials. Secondly, ungrateful children are a product of faulty parenting and a lack of religion. If you child spends most of his time away from the parents, engaging in activities that don't support a healthy family life, they are basically raising themselves so don't expect any favors when that kid grows up. Thirdly, I sorry to here having a lot of kids is out of style. I'm not recommending going out and having more kids than you can raise but I hadrly think this is an issue you can discuss in general. If I'm in a better position than you to raise kids than I will...the more the merrier. If mortgages, car payments and student loans are holding you down then you may want to have less. Another thing you may want consider is that being an only child has been proven time and again to be unhealthy to the mental development of children. -
Nice story...where's the rest? If the pre-requisites for the man are that well-defined, then I'm sure the requirments for the woman would meet similar standards. How do you gauge the worth of a woman? what does she bring to the table?

well if you're into "touchy" movies like that then I suggest Savior with Dennis Quaid. Have you guys seen it?

From most of the posted comments I see y'all have been around here for a while. I have very vivid memories of blackouts from africa....I was actually "stranded" in a village in Southern Sudan 15 km from the Kenyan border for 3 weeks and these guys have never heard of electricity and water was an extreme luxury. Trust me it's not an exaggeration. So I'm driving around T.O., the immigrants all have the "here we go again" look on thier faces. The whites are panicking because they won't be able to make it home in time to walk their dogs and all the substance abusers and slackers are flocking the streets to hang out and enjoy the moment. Less than 24hrs of no lights hardly constitutes a crisis...but then again thats just my opinion

Friendly fire - isn't. Recoilless rifles - aren't. Suppressive fires - won't. You are not Superman; Marines and fighter pilots take note. A sucking chest wound is Nature's way of telling you to slow down. If it's ****** but it works, it isn't ****** . Try to look unimportant; the enemy may be low on ammo and not want to waste a bullet on you. If at first you don't succeed, call in an airstrike. If you are forward of your position, your artillery will fall short. Never share a foxhole with anyone braver than yourself. Never go to bed with anyone crazier than yourself. Never forget that your weapon was made by the lowest bidder. If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush. The enemy diversion you're ignoring is their main attack. The enemy invariably attacks on two occasions: when they're ready. & when you're not. No OPLAN ever survives initial contact. There is no such thing as a perfect plan. Five second fuzes always burn three seconds. There is no such thing as an atheist in a combat situation. A retreating enemy is probably just falling back and regrouping. The important things are always simple; the simple are always hard. The easy way is always mined. Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy other people to shoot at. Don't look conspicuous; it draws fire. For this reason, it is not at all uncommon for US uniforms to be known as bullet magnets. Never draw fire; it irritates everyone around you. If you are short of everything but the enemy, you are in the combat zone. When you have secured the area, make sure the enemy knows it too. Incoming fire has the right of way. No combat ready unit has ever passed inspection. No Inspection ready unit has ever passed combat. If the enemy is within range, so are you. The only thing more accurate than incoming enemy fire is incoming friendly fire. Things which must be shipped together as a set, aren't. Things that must work together, can't be carried to the field that way. Radios will fail as soon as you need fire support. Radar tends to fail at night and in bad weather, and especially during both. Make it too tough for the enemy to get in, and you won't be able to get out. Tracers work both ways. If you take more than your fair share of objectives, you will get more than your fair share of objectives to take. When both sides are convinced they're about to lose, they're both right. Professional soldiers are predictable; the world is full of dangerous amateurs. Military Intelligence is a contradiction. Fortify your front; you'll get your rear shot up. Weather ain't neutral. If you can't remember, the Claymore is pointed towards you. The Cavalry doesn't always come to the rescue. Napalm is an area support weapon. Mines are equal opportunity weapons. Sniper's motto: reach out and touch someone. Killing for peace is like screwing for virginity. The one item you need is always in short supply. Interchangeable parts aren't. When in doubt, empty your magazine. The side with the simplest uniforms wins. Combat will occur on the ground between two adjoining maps. If you can keep your head while those around you are losing theirs, you may have misjudged the situation. If two things are required to make something work, they will never be shipped together. Anything you do can get you shot, including nothing. Whenever you lose contact with the enemy, look behind you. The most dangerous thing in the combat zone is an officer with a map. The quartermaster has only two sizes, too large and too small. If you really need an officer in a hurry, take a nap. There is nothing more satisfying than having someone take a shot at you, and miss. If your sergeant can see you, so can the enemy. You'll only remember your hand grenades when the sound is too close to use them. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Well .. It could be worse: It could be raining .. and we could be out in it. So he said, "Cheer up: it could be worse!" So we cheered up. And it got worse. The spare batteries for the PRC-whatever your troops have been carrying are either nearly dead or for the wrong radio. The ping you heard was the antenna snapping off at 6 inches above the flexmount, while a fire mission was being called in on a battalion of hostiles who know your position. The enemy "Alway's" times his attack, to the second you drop your pant's in the Latrine!!

You've all heard of the Air Force's ultra-high-security, super-secret base in Nevada, known simply as "Area 51?" Well, late one afternoon, the Air Force folks out at Area 51 were very surprised to see a Cessna landing at their "secret" base. They immediately impounded the aircraft and hauled the pilot into an interrogation room. The pilot's story was that he took off from Las Vegas, got lost, and spotted the Base just as he was about to run out of fuel. The Air Force started a full FBI background check on the pilot and held him overnight during the investigation. By the next day, they were finally convinced that the pilot really was lost and wasn't a spy. They gassed up his airplane, gave him a terrifying "you-did-not-see-a-base" briefing, complete with threats of spending the rest of his life in prison, told him Las Vegas was that-a-way on such-and-such a heading, and sent him on his way. The next day, to the total disbelief of the Air Force, the same Cessna showed up again. Once again, the MP's surrounded the plane ... only this time there were two people in the plane. The same pilot jumped out and said, "Do anything you want to me, but my wife is in the plane and you have to tell her where I was last night!"

It was a warm, sunny Sunday, so a man and his wife decided to take in the zoo. They spent the day, and at closing time they walked past the gorilla cage, and the man noticed the gorilla looking at his wife. "That gorilla is getting excited just looking at your t!ts," he said. "Why don't you take your blouse off and we'll see what he does?" At first she declined. But finally persuaded by her husband, she took off her blouse and bra. The gorilla went nuts. He started grunting and jumping up and down. "Hey," the husband said, "let's really blow his mind. Take off all your clothes and we'll see what he does." Again she said no and again he persuaded her. This time the ape really went bananas! He climbed up and down the bars, did flips, ran around in circles and tossed his food all over the cage. The husband went over to the cage, opened the door and pushed his wife in. "Now," said the husband with an evil smile, "tell HIM you have a headache!"

Aging Mildred was a 93 year-old woman who was particularly despondent over the recent death of her husband Earl. She decided that she would just kill herself and join him in death. Thinking that it would be best to get it over with quickly, she took out Earl's old Army pistol and made the decision to shoot herself in the heart since it was so badly broken in the first place. Not wanting to miss the vital organ and become a vegetable and burden to someone, she called her doctor to inquire as to just exactly where the heart would be. "On a woman," the doctor said, "your heart would be just below your left breast." Later that night, Mildred was admitted to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her knee.

One day grandpa says to grandma "Why don't we go to the motel like we used to do when we were young and get kinky?" So they get to the motel and go into the room. Grandpa takes off his glasses and says he going to get into the shower to freshen up. In the meantime grandma takes off her clothes and gets into bed. She decides to do some leg stretches to limber up ( it's been awhile ). Well she throws her legs over her head and they get caught in the headboard. Right then grandpa walks out of the bathroom and sees her that way. "My God woman" he says "you need to put your teeth in and comb your hair, you look terrible!"

In days of old, when knights were bold, this particular knight was leaving for a crusade and called one of his squires, "I'm leaving for the crusade. Here is the key to my wife's chastity belt. If, in 10 years, I haven't returned, you may use the key as I'm sure she will have needs" The knight sets out on the dusty road, armored from head to toe. He takes one last look at his castle and sees the squire rushing across the drawbridge, yelling, "Stop! Stop! Thank goodness I was able to catch you. This is the WRONG KEY."

A guy came into a bar one day and said to the barman "Give me six double vodkas." The barman says "Wow! you must have had one hell of a day." "Yes, I've just found out my older brother is gay." The next day the same guy came into the bar and asked for the same drinks. When the bartender asked what the problem was today the answer came back... "I've just found out that my younger brother is gay too!" On the third day the guy came into the bar and ordered another six double vodkas. The bartender said "Jesus! Doesn't anybody in your family like women?" "Yeah, my wife..."

Tsk tsk tsk...I leave home for a few days and this is what happens..... *First, Scorpion Sister. I must say you're a shining example of excellent articulation. Looks like you gave the issues some thought. I may not agree with some of your suggestions but I can respect your point of view. Your train of thought is headed in the right direction and time and commitment will shine a light on the minor issues such as early marriages level and early child bearings. *Secondly, BARWAAQO you work here don't you? anyway, let me see if I can work my way through this "sarcasm". Hmmm "westernized"...the word looks familiar but the definition is a little hazy. Help me out here The Somali sisters in the Bloomingdales executive pin-stripe power-suit and giorgio armani frames with Starbuck tall latte in one hand and the Globe and mail business section in the other - Now that ally mcbeal wannabe sounds "westernized" am I right? cause if thats what you want to grow up and be well thats cool isn't it. it has to be, why else would all the characters on the boob tube and the magazines be "designed" to fit that image. (As always I could be very wrong - as I'm sure someone somewhere is just itching to point out to me right now). By the way, don't be too hard on the no-dhaqan, westernized evil women I'm sure if we try very very hard we can find some guys that are just as bad if not worse. What's next?...oh spinsters!!! Ok let me see if I can word this correctly.....as my PERSONAL PREFERENCE i would rather have a be married to and have children with a woman younger than 24. If you're older then 24, I'd have have to be pretty desperate. But with the female population skyrocketing between "my PREFERED" age groups, I'm pretty safe...I think. Hey this sarcasm stuffs pretty neat... Ahhh!!! Education and the pursuit of a distinguished career. 70% of the population is illiterate???? I can believe that, I've seen some of the posts in here. <. Thanks for bringing up that topic that ties in with my education question. So what are we doing to fix the literacy problem in our community? Lets throw some back-ground into this "career". My mom never work for a pay-cheque a day in her life.... She has two sister one older, one younger who are both doctors...<can you believe they actually let these women hold a scapel?..... So anyway, Barwaaqo "My theory" is this, if you're going to get an education and get a Job...make that a Career. go all out and do something that is useful to yourself, your family and your community. if you have to "sacrifice" the "potential" well-being of your spouse and offspring, then make it worth while. A job at Hertz rent-a-car doesn't cut it. Teach, Cure or Provide. don't be a pawn in someone else's chess game. oh about the "Cardinal Sin"...$10/hr @ sears while your kid is in day-care is a cardinal sin. I don't blame you for wanting to better yourself and I won't knock you for it either. You're so busy defending and yourself putting up protective walls that won't give anyone a chance to say anything. I wouldn't want to live in a world where everyone had the same point of view and agreed with anything and everything I said. <. *Nefertiti - regardless of the history and significance behind your name, you wouldn't recognize "controvesial" if it jumped up and slapped you in the face. I sense a lot of anger in your tone, young-one. explain this to me, if you are able to justify and articulate why and how you would be involved your 'controversial' issues we probably wouldn't try and guide or educate seeing that you know what you're doing. Go see Scorpion I'm sure she can give you some pointers on how to make yourself heard without pointing fingers and making sweeping accusations. Darkness is the absence of light and ignorance is the absence of knowledge. learn how to shed light so that you may enlighten all the ignorant men in here. *Lakkad, everyone can say what they want to say...I'm doing the same thing here. 50c iyo Beyonce waxaa iga daraan Faarax iyo Xaliimo oo ku dayanayoo. Maybe can't save everyone but lets not all be gangstas and ride-or-die b**ches.

In my "opinion" I think most of the topics are crap. Can I express that opinion? maybe you should take your own advise and ignore my topic. Most of the other women don't seem to have a problem with what I implied. (Barwaaqo and Scorpion - Nice posts). You can call this positive criticism. By the way sorry about the delay in reply - I have been on a well deserved vacation and I should be back to "retort" on Monday.

- Health - Business - Education What can women do to improve our current social situation? How are women currently preparing themselves to carry on the Somali culture in the western world? What are we doing now to help other Somali women back home and around the world? Something along those lines....

When you donate to UNICEF (their biggest donation drive, appropriately, is on Hallowe'en), one of the ways the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund spends your money is on education for Third World countries. An example of U.N.-sponsored education was circulated at the United Nations Special Session on Children Conference in New York. The special session is ostensibly devoted to improving the rights of the world's children by improving access to abortion, among other things. Included were titles like "Refugee Children," "Protecting Boys and Girls During Armed Conflict" and "Beyond Yokohama: Combating Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children." One of the ways the U.N. hopes to combat the sexual exploitation of children is to educate them to the dangers. UNICEF has taken the lead in funding this effort. Delegates were given portions of a book published by the Mexican government and funded by the United Nations. Loosely translated from the Spanish, the book is entitled, "Theoretic Elements for Working with Mothers and Pregnant Teens." A few excerpts from this workshop text were published in a news report in the Washington Times. The book outlines the kinds of things Third World kids need to know, like: "Reproductive health includes the following components: counseling on sexuality, pregnancy, methods of contraception, abortion, infertility, infections and diseases." Sounds reasonable enough, although abstinence as a strategy seems somewhat poorly represented. But the book does advocate some other alternatives. "Situations in which you can obtain sexual pleasure: 1. Masturbation. 2. Sexual relations with a partner – whether heterosexual, homosexual, or bisexual. 3. A sexual response that is directed toward inanimate objects, animals, minors, non-consenting persons." But if none of that grabs the attention of your average Third World teenaged girl, the U.N. has more suggestions. How about lesbian sex as an acceptable alternative for girls? "Sexual relations with a partner: Here we should insist there is no ideal or perfect relations between two or several people," the book says. "The one that gives us the most satisfaction and that which is adopted to our way of being and the style of life we have chosen. This is why we encounter many differences among women. Some women like to have relations with men. And others with another woman." The U.N. is trying to limit the damage, saying the book was only released by supporters of the U.S. anti-abortion lobby to embarrass the conference. Why would the U.N. be embarrassed by a book they funded? Well, it turns out the U.N. only paid for it, they didn't actually have anybody read it. At least, that's their story and they are sticking to it. The U.N. said the book was "intended as a training manual for people working with adolescent women to prevent teen pregnancy." Got to give them credit there. I know of no pregnancies as a consequence of lesbian sex or sex with "inanimate" objects.

I agree there's nothing wrong with asking question. (call me paraniod) but being an outsider in a North American country that'll never be my home in a time where there is a full scale war being waged against my culture and my religion and a serious uncertainty as to the future of my people, don't you think we should be coming together and asking useful questions?
