  1. Naag waa belaayo loo baahan yahay – Woman is a disaster one cannot do without Naago nin ay legdaan kama kacaan – A woman will not get off the man she has brought down. Naagi nin ay taqaan nin ma mooddo – A woman does not think of a man whom she knows well, as a man. Saqir naageed sirla’aan ma dhinto – Even if a woman dies in her childhood she will nevertheless have manage to swindle. and for you single guys take note here; Rag naagaa is dhaafshay - It is women who make men outrun each other (in the course of life).
  2. If you want us to tell you that Somali marriage is like a seeds sown in the desert or the tundra that will only sprout for few cycles and then eventually die, I'm sorry to disapoint you!The truth is that Somalis couples are human just like everybody else (they are bound to divorce or long time marriage)They just bump and bang into life just like every other community!

  9. Come on guys, Islaantaan jareertaa maa qurux ku gaarta Imaan I hope you meant that line as a Joke, this of course defies decencies. If I had a daughters I'll rather them to emulate the freshness, exuberance and energy of Michele than the make-up beauty of Iman...
  10. ^^^^I was arrested for Smoking a blunt and drinking a 12 pack while driving all at the same time.....As for the tools they even do have internet here...
  11. Niin yabaan, I'm learning the trade of a carpenter;how to make Luxurious Custom Cabinets for Kitchens and Bathrooms. When I get out of "prison" I'll be making a DREAM kitchen a reality!
  12. ^^^Norcross is a Mexican hub.I never liked that area, but it is way better than Clarkstone..if you go couple of exits down on 1-85N you can find decent apartments.Dunwoody is where I was advicing him to live (especially near Shallowford Rd).My suggestion is based on that he is a professional who can afford to pay eight hundred to a a thousand dollars a month on one/ two bedroom apartment!
  13. Atlanta, ha? I’ve lived in that city for a decade and I’m planning to go back and practice there when I get out of “Prison”….Now to go straight to your question, YES, YES and definitely YES you need a CAR. The public transportation is SLOW (as is everything with the SOUTH). Atlanta has one of the best ROADS in the USA, but unfortunately there is a Heavy traffic you will deal with everyday! The nightlife depends on what you looking for.If you are teeneager there are plenty of clubs and Gentlemen clubs (If you know what I mean). Buckehaed used to be the best place to hang out, but unfortunately it is closed now due to politics of Real Estate. Nowadays majority of the clubs are in places like Tucker (which is a stone throw away from Somali area). Majority of the Somalis live in Clarkstone, a small low income neighborhood. This is where the Somali life revolves . You will find your halal store, your Somali barbershop and your dahabshil. The best Somali restaurant is Medina (a place with a lousy service, but a good bariis and hilib). Atlanta has a mixed population of white, black and Hispanics . Every ethnicity lives predominately in one area. You can have a black doctor, lawyer, or even a rap star as your neighbour if your wallet will let you! Same as in any city there are different people with different back ground both socially and economically! Places I'll advice you to live and yet be closer to midtown and Somali area, but a bit trendy and cool is apartments near Dunwoody area or Gwinnet is not that bad ( but a bit far)...You can also live in Alpharetta if you don't wanna be around Somalis or blacks. EDIT as for the issue about blacks and Somalis there has never been a problem between the two communities!
  14. ^ She is aight...I mean her LOOKS "I am that girl that dont eat pork, i eat with my hands and dont need fork"?
  15. When we were halfway through, we stopped on the side of the road to have a look at the green wilderness below. The view also took in the squiggly road and the way it twirls around the mountain like a garbasaar on a warm bosom. It was breathtaking and it gave me vertigo . Since I'm Sakhajaan, I had to laugh at this line (plus I just had a whole lecture about the physiology of Vertigo-I liked how you used it here)....Are you sure Ngonge you haven't taken any medical Neurology classes, I have seen you use medical terms before
  16. ^Dude looks like I admire his work ethics... Ngonge, for odd reasons I think you are a bit too bias towards Somaliland by not injecting any humor at your story (of course I'm not asking for negative outlooks ).I'd love to read alittle bit of what you think of the country in their quest for seccesion since you have been on the ground.I want you to take the brunt of fun at their progress.Feed me some clues that can tap into that society!
  17. ^^^ Cara, lives in New Jersey....I saw her the other day at a train station, but she refused to acknowledged my head nod thinking I was a homeless layabout asking for a penny!
  18. Malika, Today actually the lecture is fun...My old boring profesor is talking about his youth days during the sixties..He is talking about the Symptomology found in those doing heavy drugs: “sinsemilla”, “sensi”, “ganja”, “weed”, “blunt” “joint”, “smoke” , “doobie”, “herb”, etc. He cracked as up when he quoted this “Hey Rasta man. Hear what I say. Gimme some sinse, today. I wanna get hiiiigh” PS: The lecture is about Central Nervous System stimulation of CB1 receptors results in euphoria, calmness, dreamlike states.....
  19. I have all kind of hats and shirts from this store, but you will never catch me wearing any Jeans(or any kind of pants) from this store...
  20. Malika, I wouldn't call him a marriage GURU, but a REASONABLE person....Horta aren't you married atthigu?
  21. I don't have JB on my Facebook. The only Somaliaonline nomad I have is Cadaan-I doubt if the white boy (of course I say this with great RESPECT) will betray my TRUST...
  22. ^ When I asked him for ADVICE he told me the same thing-If she is a GOOD Woman I should go for it (I did mine in PRIVATE though). The GOOD Woman theory has multiple dimension he needs to analyze himself, no ONE can help him with that. PS Ngonge, I'm one step ahead son..I got the COURAGE ....something is in the offing!
  23. To join strange women in the enjoyable act of exploring delicious flesh would have required me to strip, throw my clothing, wallet, passport and all my other valuables aside for however long the act would have lasted (and it would have lasted for days, I tell you). I was not prepared to take such a risk for so little return. However, this does not mean I was not strongly tempted. I just thank (and sometimes curse) my sensible, paranoid and responsible nature for stopping me from acting on my impulses (though, right now, more cursing than thanking is taking place).
