  1. ETN? Ethiopian Television Network? Naah bro..we only watch CNN, ABC, CBS,NBC, MTV, BET, I can go on and finish the alphabet....
  2. Rageh is an opportunist (in a fair way).He takes advantage of Somaliland peace by visiting Hargeysa as many times as he wishes.I think he acknowledges Somaliland progress, but he is a Somali public figure whom majority of the Somalis view him as a role model. ...Somali politics is clan based and for him to take sides will be viewed as bias...It is good for him to stay away from Somali politics and be a role model to all Somali kids and be a citizen of the world.Somaliland doesn't need his assurance and fifteen minute endorsement on his Aljazeera program....... PS I actually came to find out I'm from the same people of his mom...Abtii ayaan uaahay in Somali way of course...
  3. Ibti,Since he is the legitimate president of Somalia do us all a favor and buy him a tie on your way (of course tell him it is from the secessionists )
  4. I heard about this wack-job new convert on the cable news .Good for him and all the money he will generate from the book.I doubt if he has stirred the pudding with his new book.He only triggered my gag reflex when I saw how clueless and opportunistic he sounded....Why don't y'all Moslems stop all the put-down of other people's religion and convert to the wonderful peaceful religion of Christianity?
  5. I wish I had a snake oil to sell it to all the confused single twenty somethings out there.. ...I found out As you grow older your priorities change..no longer are you living in wishful life...You take everyday as it comes!
  6. I can understand why the poor guy choose the suicide way.ALS is a relentless progressive disease in most cases, with a median survival of about five years. Death usually is from respiratory insufficiency...the loss of motor neurons in the anterior horn of the spinal cord and the brain is the worst someone can handle...RIP
  7. Qaliib, People with ties (origin) to Somaliland are not that many in Kenya, other Somali tribes are majority. We had our share of presence in Kenya, but there is no particular region or city that we concentrate. There were a few prominent Somalilander’s who served in the Kenyan government like Dr. Ishakia, but the numbers are few.Somalilnder’s arrived in Kenya back in the 1930’s (my grandfather generation). There are many friendly and hospitable Somali Kenyans whom I have nothing, but respect and admiration for their growing numbers and presence in Kenyan politics. Check the link below that talks about the history of people like my grandfather in Kenya who have always dreamed of going back home and supporting the effort of what was British Somaliland back in the days... Here
  8. ^^^I recalculated my classes just to see if I have inflated the numbers, but Yea it is is thirteen classes (of which five of those are separate lab classes)...I think the wifey does the moral support, but she will always watch her tv shows while you burst your asss in the next room....you just get used to it..I think they squeezed all the classes for us this semster because we are finishing majority of the book work before we officially start our clinics this May! Enjoy your break and work hard dude..there are far too many ambitious people in this world we all have to compete with...
  9. ^ What was the Arab-bashing dude name? PS: PA..igarali ahoow! please..
  10. ^ I agree though his journey turn out to be a Godspeed one for Somaliland he was irresponsible for taking sides....I doubt Kenya politics changed much.I don't think they will sanction him... PS I couldn't help but notice you and PA are in the same page today...he is a different character! (I'm assuming he is the Arab-bashing dude if not I'm sorry dude)
  11. Xiin is agreeing with Peace Actions...thanks to Farah Maalim....ciirkaa roob kujiiraa (sp?) PS: You guys are blowing this thing out of proportion-both sides!
  12. ^^^Warya...lol...Yes all I did was EAT.READ.SLEEP..READ..EAT..SLEEP..for a month...My spring break starts next week, but I have officially started my today after I took exams back to back today...When you are taking thirteen classes you have no life when midterms and Finals arrive.....Life sucks, but you have to suck it up!
  13. This Maalim guy's name is all over this corner...I remember this dude back in the mid 90's when he was a member of parliament...I believe he is more closer to the Puntland brothers than Somalilander's. For him to speak his guts and say what he felt about Somaliland is a bit courageous (though a bit irresponsible too for a Kenyan Somali leader to take sides in Somali politics-I'd have said the same had he questioned Somaliland legitimacy) .I will say this of course with bias, his community (clan) were NOT always the most hospital people to Somalilander's in Kenya since they are the majority.I have a few bone to pick with their leaders for age old SNM politics in Kenya. My Kenyan politics is a bit rusty, but having lived through Moi era in Kenya I doubt if this implications will tarnish Maalim's reputation after all Kenyan polticians switch principles for anything...
  14. Breathing fresh air today after a month of Exams and Practicals.Alhamdulilah they all went well.February of 2010 was a month I will NEEVER forget in my academic life.I haven't stepped out of my apartment for four consecutive weekends, but this weekend its time to take the wifey out and enjoy some FAMILY time...Time to catch some movies and relax and catch up with the world...
  15. "No one looks perfect -- we have to find peace with the way we look and get on with life." This is from one of the best movie critic, Ebert.Read the inspiring story here
  16. There are many obstacles to this lawsuits’ success, but at least this case will be a lesson to any Somali warlord, that the result of their acts will one day be brought to justice. The balancing of interests in this case is indeed a delicate and difficult issue for the US supreme court. While I personally know the victim in this case I will leave the court to decide and wish him nothing, but Success. It is a bit joke though that some of you out of ignorance and maybe arrogance stick to the “he is from small clan” attitude. The law is a fair game without distinction as to what colour or clan one origins.
  17. Its gonna be a long night...F***Ck Pharm and all overdrugged people....Shiit can't stick to my head! Enkephlan, dynorphin,Beta-endorphin..all shiit looks the same to me...Time to pull all-nighter!

  19. I believe this to be an isolated incident. There will always be a dimwit bigots around be it in the academic halls or on a street...Just yesterday I was approached by one of my classmate who happen to be the other black guy in my class about certain students in our class who say some disrespectful stuff behind one of the professor's back (who also happen to be black!).They will dare question the credibility and knowledge level of white professors, but a black woman with the letter behind her name longer than her last name is NOT good enough for them..These are individuals who will be professionals in two more years in the REAL world. There will always be sexist, racist, you name it kind of people..You just have to mind your business and let not another man's hate be your burden!
  20. Kheyr...Haha..Blame it on CL..She started it all...I doubt if Sijui girls are Open to sharing their men with other women...Maseerka kothaa (sp?) is BAD....Although I didn't have the opportunity to marry a sijui girl ( I went for Mlendo) I think they are cool and understanding..just don't mention the Sharing business...
