  1. Hahahaa....you are funny...Istaghfurullah....You crack me up
  2. Hope this is not some photo-op by some high ranking people..I hope the dignity of the powerless is respected...I still will congratulate the PM of Turkey for making the effort for helping in averting the unfolding of more famine crisis....
  3. Haha A-khadar.You got them good there...Good one..its Qabil all around Somali politics....I heard through waxalayiri of my sub-clan that they no longer have stake in the current administration (and that they will secede and reclaim Hargeysa airport area if Mr.President doesn't acknowledge their political power base j/k)..on a more serious note its all politics and eventually everyone will mature enough politically...........
  4. Now that we have a well educated guy with a CV that can make the Samatar brothers look like a lightweight in the so called Somali "intellectuals" lets see what he can bring to the table and wish him the very best we can (with a prayer)
  5. Heh..Never watched anything to do with Trump..the self-centered jerk with a tantrum like an elementary school kid.....
  6. Good looking Woman with big heart!
  7. Robust Sense of class, maturity and a goodwill of people indeed...Viva La-Somaliland.....
  8. Story of the week...(troll story)...Minimal physical evaluation of prospective patient is done at my work .This usually consist of visual inspection of the patient (since this is a teaching institution).Student usually obtain vital signs known as baseline to help determine patients ability to tolerate the stress involved in the planned treatment (you could only imagine getting your wisdom tooth pulled)..this day Jeff was on the floor and the faculty are observing him as he is doing his auscultation and visual inspection of his patient (a Muslima covered head to toe with Jilbaab)...Jeff gets to the head and neck and notices a big black scar on his patient's forehead wondering what in the world this skin disease could be(a psoriasis perhaps? )..He is adamant not to make mistake in his medical questioner (a moral and legal necessity) and proceeded to ask the patient whether she had a skin disorder. Her explanation didn't make sense to him and he just jotted down as a birth mark..after the session he cornered me on the floor (the only Muslim he knew and perhaps inspect whether I had the "birthmark" too. I had to explain it what she meant when she said it is a sign of faith .Sort of clarified that NOT every Muslim has a mark that could easily identify on them...haha
  9. Even grape Soda is considered offensive in this part of the world.Sort of a black ghetto stereotype..haha..check out the racist cop from Harold and Kumar movie scene...
  10. ^Now you are making progress..your original tone of viewing everyone with suspicion is improving (did you even re-read your original rant?)..now I was talking about what was in the school admission policy... For Someone to be admitted to the school he/she must have lived in Somaliland for three of the last five years..Now I just wanted the school policy to be lenient on this and be open to all Somali regions without restrictions to in-state residency of Somaliland...I just want them to open the door for all qualified Somali kids on merit based......as far as Western education system indoctrination..I'd rather have my kid go to an institution that will put him/her in a par with the rest of the world.......I'd rather have a well educated kid from South/North/East/West of Somalia any day..that will be a pride for me as a Somali man...all other things including regionalism/clanism is superficial when compared to a young kid with a brain over his/her shoulder.................
  11. ^if your brain case wasn't so empty to begin with I'll have spared you that conclusion.....
  12. Alpha, Heh.What inferiority complex you talking about? I can sense that you are young and immature little brat...Why do you have to insult people?... I believe in equal opportunity for all Somali student and academic freedom...I think you need to look hard in the mirror and open your horizon to different opinions and views....
  13. Great and up-to date website...I have said before this is the future of Somaliland (and Somalis as a people)...something from the website caught my eyes..the student in me couldn't resist to check the qualification for admissions to the school...it has defined international student as..."International students: Any students who have NOT lived in Somaliland for at least 3 of the last 5 years" I hope this does NOT apply to any Somali kid residing in Current Somalia (but only to diaspora student).Politics aside I'd love to see any Somali kid who has the opportunity to attend this school not denied admission on the basis of his/her region. The existing academic rules of the school should expressly provide a right to any Somali student who can afford to attend the school regardless to region they hail from..This school will single handedly shape the future of Somalis by bringing talented students from as far as Mogadishu to Kismayu.....
  14. What a messed up day...I guess it is ONE of those days for me...FML
  15. ^I was just trying to bring them a bit down before they celebrate too soon...If he wins this will be no doubt the first time "ethnic Somalilander" wins a seat in Kenya (though they been here generations back)..Now there is the heavy political machine of the likes of Yusuf Haji campaigning for the other candidates (A fair campaign, but as usual sullied with tribalism within somalis)..I think it is wise for the Somalilanders to hold their hoses till he wins after all there are other "none-ehtnic Somalilanders" campaigning for Johny....
  16. I want to bring the supporters of "ethnic Somalilanders" little bit back to the ground. The election is NOT over yet and the game is still on...Your "ethnic Somalilanders" folks are minority. I doubt they will like to separate themselves from the rest of the Somalis in Kenya..... There are many impressive cats from NFD making progress in Kenyan political landscape. The likes of Ahmednassir, Ahmed Hassan Issack, and Abdikadir Hussein ...
  17. I suspect your goal with this post was to instigate some sort of war of words(like Val said)...what you posted is obvious to even the blind Stevie Wonder (that kid in Xamar is fighting for their daily survival while the lucky kid in Hargeysa is enjoying the fruition of peace). If only fate gave them both the equal chance ...I'm begging you to spare the little ones who don't understand..............
  18. Sawahiliga waxey yiraahthaan.....Mcheka kilema hafi bila kumpata.....Qoofki jiiskaa kuqoslaa isaagaanaa maddintoo isagonaan noqoon jiis.....
  19. Good art work by the producer...I have been to MineHopless three times when I was young and hip (2002,2003 and 2004) and NEVER went back...being from the East Coast it was sort of boring and depressing...
  20. Warya Alpha..goodluck with the policing of Somali culture and honor... PS Now goodbye I will i go and ponder on your advice this morning while I go pull people teeth and put them in pain...lol
  21. Ibti, You are right.Maybe NOT love, but strangers with benefits...I think I should steer clear away from this man just in case my "dhumashi" wrongs him...j/k
  22. Alpha,, Heh..you are a little too judgmental...how in the world was I suppose to know if he is a pervert...He just asked for a help (and I helped him with what he asked for)...I just didn't even viewed the story that way..I just thought it was funny to fall in love for few hours with a stranger.....
  23. Funny Story of the week...I was approached by a gentlemen (He is originally from Pacific) that works in my University..The dude was vacationing in Kenya when he met a charming Somali woman at the Nairobi International airport. They met at the airport for few hours. She was flying back to Mogadishu and he was flying back home. They exchanged contact information and promised to keep in touch...They did as they promised kept in touch..Now this is where I came in the picture...She asked for money and he wanted to send her money to Mogadishu, but there is no western Union in Xamar. He asked for my help if I can direct him to any money transfer system...Now unfortunately there is no Xawalah in my city (the nearest one is Virginia)...Anyway to cut the story short I helped him how to contact the people in Dahabshiil and he was happy...He told me how he likes her (by now I'm surprised how someone can fall in love with someone they just met for few hours)..I didn't said anything as it is NOT my place to question his love..He is arranging a trip to Ethiopia where they can meet up..I just thought the story was funny and one for the books...hahaa
  24. They Just acting for the camera...if you hang around a barber shop long enough, sooner or later, you’re going to get a haircut..if you live in a hood soon or later your kids will become one...
  25. May Somaliland be the shining stars amid the darkness that veiled Somalia...I hope ALL Somali kids from different corners of Somalia are welcomed in Somaliland schools....I'm just impressed with schools like Abaarso tech teachers profile page http://www.abaarsotech.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6&Itemid=8
