  1. Maddey, I never supported the killing of another Somali. If you look at my replies to that incident i was telling the dancehall state supporters to compile evidence against Silanyo and present it to the world.I'm against your bloody and inconclusive warfare on Somalia.Strange though it seems that just because i purportedly supported one bloody conflict then yours should be on the right path.I'm just making you understand the danger your ideologies posses to Somalia..See if i wanted to do the blame game I'll have pointed out how you are enjoying vacation in a "Kuffar" land.If the world is NOT depending on each other, why NOT go the Mecca for vacation ya sheikh?
  2. Maddey, I have listened to one or two clips of him calling for armed struggle against "kuffars".Anyone can mobilize a dispirited people against something.Instead of him doing blowing ups and creating more problems, why not find a way to solve the problems through dialogue. The age of warlord is over and soon i pray any senseless killers will be stopped. He seems to barely notice the damage he is causing to Somalia.I don't see the seeds of better future in his tactics. The world has change and i doubt any terror organization will win sympathy from the rest of the world.Somalia is widely watched today and startegically attracted the intesrets of many countries.Instead of piggybacking on terror why not take part of something that the world approves (yeah i know you or them don't give a rat-asss about the world)...Somalia is NOT going to be left alone by the world and instead of us prefacing the world with terror why not take the most appealing route of dialogue.
  3. Somali Kamikaze he is...nothing Culuma in him
  4. I don't know why a man like Maddey will be AS sympathizer..This man proves himself better at creating mischief than achieving his goal of Darul Islam. This guy and his organization acts are spectacular and the attention they get enormous, but the pain and suffering they causing Somalia far greater than their wins against Amisom and TFG.Their speacial menace is keeping Somalia locked in war.
  5. There is a myth within the Swahili circle that if a man mixes cinamon (mdalasini in Swahili), honey and cucumber (Tango) his energy in the bedroom doubles...so when i saw the new youtube challenge i just thought only if they knew.....
  6. Ngonge, here is the link http://somalilandpress.com/a-week-in-somaliland-%E2%80%93-part-four-9036
  7. Jb.why? Are you about to do the Cinamon challenge on youtube.... PS: Warya save Ngonge from the picketing sheikhs..especially the famous firebrand preacher Adan Siiro
  8. I got some for you here.. ."This man is an insult to all men! He is clearly still little boy with too much pent up energy and needs to grow up. Why a site of this readership would decide to publish such indecency is frankly beyond me?! I for one would like to know who the editor is and what his view on this insult on women, especially muslim women" "Obama is famous, the restaurant is infamous. I don't like this NGONGE person. His stuff reads like a private letter to a friend"
  9. Nuune, haiguutiriin niinka.Tassi dhigtoon meey aheen..Ngonge defeated me in reading Somali...He was as rusty as me, but he passed me in writting Somali. PS I read and they were NOT happy....look over Somali website comments section when you read their news...its the most entertainig thing with no filter
  10. Ngonge, you been to SL before, right? I remember reading your trip blog in Somaliland press...The user of that forum were NOT happy that you were attacking the good name of SL women...They misinterpreted your observation and use of words in describing the place and the people...Make sure you behave next time.
  11. There is a good Universal tv program on SL politics called milicsiga siyasinka (sp?).I have started watching it.If i was to critic Somaliland issues it didn't hurt to listen to their informative programs like this one.The head of the parliament was a guest and he was asked by a young man in the audience if they have earmarks for their constituency and the guest answered that they hardly have any budgets on special project for one constituency.Seems like majority of the projects are spearheaded by NGO's.If the budget is slim then why do they think they need some of these ministries. They can combined some of these ministries and cut down the expenses....Need i say some of the young audience on that studio were very civil and well informed on the politics of SL...very bright future indeed
  12. These anti-modern reactionaries taking refuge in Islam need to be stopped at all cost. The link above asks for viewer discretion.I just can't believe anyone with sane mind is supporting what Al-Shabab is doing.I honestly don't get the use of Islam as a political tool.I understand that this ideology is the product of faith and a religious world view interpreted and applied within the context of gaining more power and control.Sane people seek reform through gradual transformation of the government.Seeking violent confrontation only locks Somalia in a defensive war and the circle continues.I understand that they think any form of government other their own is unislamic and morally bankrupt. When you use Islam as yardstick to attack the government and the people clearly there is something wrong with that picture. There is nothing wrong with having a moderate islamic activist instead of radicals that kill in the name of Islamic political and social justice. Their faith needs to come in grip with reason.
  13. The Jogoo sign makes me puke.......nacala Kanu
  14. When i clicked on the thread i thought they were reffering to major international human right organizations that advocates for the protection of children's right..never mind.. PS: Haha Ngonge predictions comes close now I'm starting to believe Liban=Osman...He was right when he got AT&T as Mahado Sheikh Dahir..I read it closely and all the words on the screen were screaming AT&T style
  15. Now that I got "insulted" online am going to crouch on one knee Teebow style beside my bed and put my fist to my big Somali forehead and pray to my lord for answering my prayer in defending the admiral Imam......
  16. The future is PUNTLAND fools. You secessionist are cowards.Don't you know the historical special circumstances that proves we are superior than you guys? Even though democracy collapsed and gave a way to authoritarian regime we still the BEST.Although it is difficult for us to sort out what federalism entails we would go ahead and print our OWN money.Just llisten to us, after all if you don't this will be taken as insubordination of admiral Imam.We are so deeply dedicated to pursuing the public good that we have even set aside some future oil earnings for all Somali regions.Among the desirable qualities that Allah gave us as a Puntlanders are honesty, fairness and Love for all Somalis. You hopeless irrational Qaldans need to look towards Puntland.
  17. We all have witnessed the splashy report in the local Somaliland (and even greater Somalia) news sites about the recent corruption charges leveled against high Senior Somaliland officials. According to the reports these allegations were leveled against officials in president Silanyo administration. Among the people accused was the Governor of Marodi Jeex one by the name HajI Abdullahi and director general in the ministry of resettlement (didn’t know they had such kind of ministry) one by the name Ahmed Elmi barre. The president dismissal of them immediately was welcomed by the people. Corruption is everyday trial for many third world countries. When low level official pick the pocket of the poor, its often a reliable indicator of corruption up top. The foul claws of corruption have clutched at the heart of the country. It is a good thing to see the president took actions and distance himself from this unfortunate incident. This corruption becomes inescapable burden to the poor. The people paying the most price are the poor folks missing their food delivery. This corruption was far from the first in Somaliland, and certainly not the last. The public should be given the chance to report any leaders pick pocketing them. Somaliland citizens have access to vast amount of technologies like cellphone today and they should be given the courtesy to report inconspicuously any corrupt individuals to the right authority. Fighting corruptions instills a sense of communal identity and responsibility. However complicated and difficult it might be to stop these petty corruptions, it is the responsibility of the government to do all it can to protect the welfare of the people. The government should turn to the campaign of stopping corruption to enhance their political legitimacy and authority as well as to mobilize the public in setting the bar high for every citizen.Never one to be ignored is the poor and the minority people rights. The impetus of implementation of anti-corruption could come from the government, or from below through the pressure of the public to demand accountability.Corruption churns out serious economic inequalities among the citizens.Corruption can only be faced with pressure from inside and outside.Nothing I have said is meant to imply that the new administration in control is corrupt.Only a democratic government can foster a relatively high degree of political, social and economic equality.I have my faith in the people and the government of Somaliland. The disheartening fact is that there are people who are corrupt and they should be shamed. An enormous debate about corruption and how to curb it should whirl around the heads of Somalilanders
  18. Carafat, I admire your dandy ideas .What a brash little thing you are.Your idea that SL (or even Somalia) will waken up one morning to abandoning whats working for them is quite intriguing. The elders is the best thing to have happened to SL under the circumstances of Somali clan politics. If we ignore their comments and suggestion we will be like puppies chasing their own tails. The old noisy machinery is working and people are happy. If they didn't like them they didn't have to consult them, fortunately for them (and I guess unfortunately for you) they still seem relevant.
  19. Carafaat, aka Snob aka Qasaay What good is your education if it is a pestilence for governance ? Its not unfortunate that those who do not have a firm command of reading and writting are the advisors and pundits of SL politics.I don't know for sure, but its quite likely that your grandfather and my grandfather didn't know how to read and yet they were successful in building families and communities.I'm sure they would have rue the loss of opportunity had there been an advanced education system when they were growing up. Anyone with a vaunted knowledge of reading and writting of different languages doesn't make them a good political pundits. They may protect you from misinformation, but they don't shape your political outlooks. The man has other worldly and Somali knowledge to roil the politics of SL.In reality, we know the elders are important people in Somali politics.
  20. Its a lovely place...i have been to this place many times...Good place you can enjoy a meal and probably browse their bookshelves.....I'm addicted to coffee.
  21. If you ever happen to visit Washinton DC area try to visit this place called Busboy and Poets. The place is named after Langston Hughes, who worked as a busboy while writing poetry here in the 1920s in Washington, D.C.Its just another coffee shop, but NOT your typical Somali starbucks....
  22. NASSIR;802290 wrote: Ilaahow u naxariiso marxuumka. SOL is a good political forum and LST and MMA are doing good job in keeping it free of trolls and violators of its golden rules. Stoic, Make sense brother and be on the good side. Nassir, I didn't know i was on the bad side? Nonetheless voices in my head gamely argue that i don't let emotions lead my opinions. This much is clear to me after being a member on this site for so long, Somalia is dead and the pattern of weak government has little to make me change my mind.Of all the issue that drives Somali politics none is as hopeless as the emotional attachment to clannism.Today i could care less if SL is lead by my sub-clan.I could care less if the government is led by another sub-clan, after all my pay check is NOT on the line.I live peacefully in the comfort and generosity among the Kuffars of the West. What i don't like is to see all of you guys (generalizing here, no one specific) flimsy marriage of convenience to the villa Somalia. Some will even distance themselves from commenting or even posting anything positive about Somalia if the man in charge is not the Xiigtatha..I have asserted my points many times on this board that I only support SL because of real stability and governance.Give me two consecutive stable Somalia government, my views will change!
  23. Judging from his letter-and i write this with caution- i think he knows who these spoilers are.The prosecution of spoilers, once thought impossible, is now given the green light by major western powers.I think Mahiga should avoid any clumsy and ill prepared statements on the airwaves if he wants people to take him serious. This will avoid any future structural flaws of his accusations in the international community. If something will unite Somali people it is being told someone is attacking their religion, and i know as a Tanzanian diplomate he understands the sensitivity of carelessly invoking religious coups. The average Somali has too narrow a prism through which to see whats happening behind Villa Somalia. They will absorb any sycophantic nonesense spewed by any clan leaning website as at face value.Any normal person is in favor of non-violent political actions as long as they don't cross the line.Mahiga shouldn't squander chasing the dream of moderate muslim Somali. He should instead just observe and report. PS: The shares of SOL has jumped since the letter was printed...its about time LSK does some cleaning....
  24. Damn 170,0000 dollars? Nigger I buy that with a cash house in the States....my inlaws are spending all their savings in building a house in Hargeisa (i guess its cheaper when you have generational land)...IA probably take my kids their for vacation away from the concrete world of the States....I know a nigger in my town that moved all his family back to Hargeysa...I hope Insha-Allah many people will have the confidence in rebuilding their old family land in all of Somalia cities...
