  1. Watch out for bird-strikes while taking off! haha
  2. Listened for six minute only and all I heard is F.a.q.a.s.h.....the Somali language has different dialects...Was the guy making a documentary back then? Was he a journalist?
  3. Heh...I think Bashir forgot in a realm of political ideology one can vent all the furry against the ruling party/president without jumping the ship so quickly! You don't have to shored up your faltering support of Somaliland with women's right mantra. Heck you can write-up a well argued support for union without being chary of the risks involved in outing your stands on the Somali unity! For all his ostentatious support of Somaliland, I doubt it only took him to show his true colors after his cousin left office.
  4. Liiban, I missed your videos that used to duel Fatwas at Somaliland administration in this city...Or those interesting SSC parties...brings back memories PS That flag is hoisted above the wrong city....Never mind me I'm a confused secessionist...
  5. It seems there is some puzzlement about the government stand on this issue. Having watch the video clip I came away from watching all this that AT&T clan has some stake in the city so is many other clans (including Farole clan).AT&T clan (on the back of Kenyan Government Armour) wants to form a federal state, but the government is blocking it. The government is not showing tactical flexibility of allowing them to form their state just like many other Somali federal state. The government is saying our policy is a policy of protecting the interest of all clans. Is the government really honest in making the play-field plain for everyone? Is the government concern of the blindly violent and flamboyant one-time Alshabab supporter Ahmed madobe real?Is there possibility that the Madobe guy can repackage himself as a shrewd politician and lead all clans that reside in this city? The conflict seems deeply rooted in mistrust of the current Somali government, which people like AT&T clan sees as a Mogadishu clan sponsor. If an administration is formed today will all other clans take part of it? Will the state answer to the central government? I guess my question is who is the enemy? The central government or the president clan? Is it correct to say whatever the central government wants it would be better to say that it is not for national interest, but for one clan hegemony? Bloody Istuubidh Somali clan politics
  6. I don't understand the whole conflict.I don't even know who are the majority clans, but going by what the articles written by non-Somalis the whole thing stinks paradoxical conflicts of clan loyalty and affiliation with central government.
  7. Ngonge, I'm suspecting he was not confident that they will listen to his demands. I doubt he is in a viable position to give recommendations. He was absolutely wrong for sending individuals with questionable characters in the beginning, but still do you think that other side would have welcomed if it was different delegations? I doubt it was inappropriate for him to call the outside government since Somalia is already involved in a policy of "outside interference"
  8. It is not my place in commenting on Southern politics. This is beyond my comprehension of their clan dimensions.I think Abtigis is jumping to conclusion too fast here.In any case it is not hard to imagine why the president will call IGAD about certain colonel (warlord) blocking his officers (warlords/butcher) from entering a city that is supposed to be under his central government. His presentation of his case to outside governments comports with the other side who are being helped/nursed by outside government forces like Kenya. The president, in other words, faces serious limitation on his ability to respond to a faction that is NOT under his control. It is unfortunate that some anticipate a clan war like 90's instead of containment and restraint, but too bad there is little in the way of demonstrative actions that could accomplish unity in the South. My prayers is with you guys!
  9. Okay Since you said I qualify I will answer your question. My first paycheck was fourteen years ago (do the math)..I straight up sent it to my mom in Africa.I have been sending money ever since. So my advice will be NOT to start that thing if your parents are living with you. You will get the endless calls from some unknown relatives. Over the coming years as your pay check grows so is the African bill..You will find out they no longer interested in the two hundred dollars they want more...
  10. Lol@queen orphan...This is home for me..Somalia/Somaliland is just a poor African country to me and no place for my remaining life!
  11. Duca maraabtaa..aniigaa isoo diir lacgataass...I will read all of Aaliya ducas for you (all the once she wrote in SOL to every deserving person)...Si dheeg dheeg aah PS I wasn't born in the west..I came as a grown man.So i don't qualify to answer your questions..I was Eighteen and Eighteen is an old age where I'm from...Not like you kids of today ciyaal Mama!
  12. You will never pay me enough to move back to Somalia.I was fortunate to have roots there, but men I will never dream of moving there...If you prank call me today and tell me there is a Gold under Mogadishu airport I will tell you to keep it...Somalia has no place in my heart. I sympathies and probably comment on their affairs, but no deep loyalty....Shiit who cares if Somaliland fails today.I know I will not shed a tear..I will just be like tomorrow niggers...
  13. ^ Warya baahaasha Yeey idhukufogaan...Chill and relax..Worry about your American/European dream..Somalia is so far from y'all psych..Go grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the blessings of western world..Who needs Somalia (the country not the person lol) BS when you have to go to work tomorrow...Those people in Kismayo will be burning their charcoals while you hit the pavements tomorrow to head to work....
  14. Jacpher, thanks for the important insight. In sum, the president is not letting these business people finish their stock and impose his laws later. It only makes sense to let the people ship their goods for now and let them get their returns. The normal thing to do is to let them proceed with their shipment for now in order to stop any chaos. At this stage of Somali politics a goodly portion of the people will follow their local leaders rather than the president.Should this trend of not listening to the opinion of the majority inhabitants continue, it is conceivable to assume that the president decree will not be answered. The clan demographic thoughts came to my mind as was figuring out who is who in this issue. It is unfortunate, but the reality is that the president should be diplomatic/friendly with the people that have investments in that city. The president should not wink at this matter, but should at least pay strong attention to the people that have investment in the city!
  15. Hayaay...Maantaa Sand-divers weey dhuuleen...Waale Waa juu maanta...haha..aight now to be a bit Qabaliiste just for today. Now this is the road to my ancestral home.Good job and hope the road is longer than the picture shown lol
  16. Shiiit making sense now...So close in grasping the Kismayo issue, but so far in understanding the whole clan dimension...Who the heck is sheriff in town (Ahmed Madoobe). Is he remnant of Warlords?
  17. It doesn't take a political genius to understand the Somali clan politics, but I must say I'm lost here. I really don't care that much for Southern Somalia feeble politics, but I gotta admit I'm lost in their geopolitics of clan hegemony over land...I wonder Who lives in this city as in population numbers? Who are the landlords or the power holders? Why do they want the new president to stay away from their affairs? Why such a basic shift of attitudes and emotions towards the president they were all celebrating yesterday? Which side (clan) is making more convincing case that they have the inalienable right of the key of the city. Why do they want the president refrain from imposing solutions to their problems?
  18. Brian Williams of NBC just called him irresponsible and read his tweets on air...Deval Patrick just said Donald doesn't matter! Waa nacaas kiibree
  19. He is just cautious, but give him half an hour and reality will smack the face of Romney defeated camp...He will call Obama soon or else they gonna make a movie about him like Sarah Palin Game change Movie where she wanted to give her own Speech
  20. Chris Christie slipping out back door to bring tray of baked pizza rolls to Obama victory party. #vote2012...........haha Chris Rock!
  21. If the economy improves they will have no choice but to distance themselves from anyone with tea party and talking down on women...They will work with him...Obama and all his supporters will definately support Hillary! Clinton was smooth and knew how to talk to white people...
  22. This time Obama will do many things and he has no favor to ask from anybody....Just sign, seal and deliver....You can veto most of it anyway if they reject it, but just don't spoil it for Hillary..I think she will run 2016...Clinton helped him alot...
  23. Aight I think it is safe to say all the GOP supporters by now turned their TV off and planning their next four years battle in the house or plan on how to come up with assembling some goons to intimidate Americans that they going down...What is their favorite catch.." Country going in the wrong direction" Go Obama..My men...My president is black!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Haha..even the cocky, boastfull and obnoxious Trump can choose to live like one, but he will still be the arrogant rich
  25. "no one should go broke because they choose to go to college." ....Income-based repayment caped at 10% and 20 years looks good ....Only a man who took student loans understands that and it is O and not the son of the governor!
