  1. Sayid, Laqoslee Laraciye... PS Blessed, Leyla Ali is a close friend's wife..Hope the Government solves this problem in a fair way!
  2. ^ I think JB is just joking here, but if he is taking shot at the Somali president then his is just insignificant Somali blather and badly timed. While Silanyo maybe slouching in some obscure house in London, President Hassan is enjoying himself at the Downing Street...
  3. ^ I will NOT sign them off yet...Its not like Puntland was formed yesterday like the rest of clan states
  4. I think the Imam is just frustrated. He finds hard and unappetizing to follow the orders from Mogadishu. If the Imam plays it right he has a well organized community behind him that can offer him the full range of options to make Mogadishu government a nightmare! I do believe there is a faint possibility that he made those remarks to pre-empt and let Mogadishu know he is still the original power player that took Somalia out of transition.Puntland future is far from un-assured. It is no secret that Puntland spend a lot of effort in reviving Somalia and it is only fair to acknowledge their part
  5. Ibti, I'm guessing you meant Cloves and NOT gloves or else the people advising you want to inherit your little Somaliland possession.Just messing with you .Feel better... PS Superbowl Weekend..Got my hot wings in the fridge and its snowing..Let the Football (of course American )begin...its a big deal here today!
  6. Minti, your points are seemingly cogent and reasonable.I was just referring to all the indicators that shows whenever Somalilander/Puntlander little Zealots in this forum report this sort of stories is when they want to kick up a fuss about their deflated egos.
  7. ^I'd not expect a bed-wetting person like you to know how to spot tit-for-tat kind of news reporting....
  8. AUN the dead..May Allah give Sabr to the family..Now Minti You should have let Puntland folks report the bad news..Its NOT nice when you Somalilanders only REPORT the bad news from Puntland..A bit childish...
  9. talexi, I guess you didn't get my point.Nevermind
  10. Taleexi, you are smiling ear to ear, but this is beneath you..You know Mooge posted this picture to get some reactions, but I'll let the adminstration deal with him instead of coming down to his level
  11. Administration please delete this page.
  12. I think he knows the map by heart its just that We rarely talk about Clan divisions/lands.
  13. Wadani, I never shy away from ignorance.Once in a while I have a long political conversation with my Father-inlaw who is a and he had to tell me how people lived in SL..Though he is a die-hard secesionist he still acknowledged the land owned by Khatumo folks..I never knew our Cousins that we share with were that far up there next to other Somalis..I just had to plead my ignorance..
  14. I don't know about Khatumo people wanting to be part of SL as that will be stretching the truth and we can't get around the truth that majority don't want to be part of it...I listened to that second townhall meeting between Galayr and Samatar..Profesor Samatar kept talking about the special bond between folks in SL...He really had some very deep points..Prof Samatar again came across an honest Nothern Unionist
  15. XX, Thanks.I always thought that when they said Sool and Sanag it only exclusively belonged to the Khatumo people.I'm sure they own a big chunk of it.I was just envisioning a partition kind of mini-secesion for them..I guess this will still create a problem once they get their way. If everyone knows where they live I think it should be alright though..Bloody Somalis and the way they are closer to each other than the jagular vein, but separated so badly by the disease
  16. Warya XX educate me here without any bias.I'm completely ignorant of the Somaliland locals except of course big cities like Hargeisa and Borame etc....I always hear them (Prof Galayadh camp) say Sool and Sanaag is ours..I'm not doubting the Sool portion (am guesing Lasacanood included) .So this Sanaag place has people with the colorful SL flag ? ..I did a little search and Found out that these are people that live there...Which side of Sanaag do they live?
  17. ^This what happens when you are rushing out of the door to go to work...glad caught before I stepped out the door..lol
  18. Based on the information on the speech, unless someone in here has a first knowledge of the talks between Somalia/Somaliland, nothing really changed on Somaliland stand, but the balanced has tipped in favor of Somalia since that London confrence. We all know by now president Silanyo can not make any far-reaching concesions with Somalia without the backing of his citizens.Compared to the muddled and feckless public addresses we been hearing coming from SL lately, this speech seemed focused and defiant when it came to the well known standing of Somaliland on the idea of secession. Granted this was not a desultory conversation I guess the President should have elaborated a bit what there next step will be( now that things changed from a year ago) if for some reasons the talk fails (and I believe it will promptly fail in favor of Somalia). A sober and exhaustive outlook to the future was much needed from his administration in this public speech. But, beyond these basic facts, almost everything about the conference in London -why it happened in the first place and why nothing will came of it-is a matter of contention among the different Supporters and I will leave at that for the moment until the talks resume and see if any valuable outcomes will come for Somaliland.
  19. [quote I suppose we will never know that, will we? Hence, lets chalk it up as just another failure on the part of our current government since they have replaced that diplomatically competent chap by the name of Dr. Saad with some hair-brain accountant by the name of Rashid Garuf, who, by all estimation of those who know him, will probably get lost in the traffic along the way, if he decides to visit the state department's building of foggy bottom in Washington from his home in the suburbs of Virginia. I once bump into that Garuf dude..Not many people like him in DMV area..For some reason he had an air of arrogance in him.
  20. Thanks for the English version..Will read it later...The pictures of the Unity and Love put a smile in my face..
  21. The British did the same thing to Kenya many times and the economy (Tourism) took it in stride. The frustration can be understandable, but protesting in some sequestered SL cities ain't gonna help anything.
  22. Che, I did listen to that earlier and it seems they still don't get it that they are dangling in the wind..Somalia scored Ten Nill against his ministry!
  23. ^My feelings? Even if it was unofficial meeting, is it something to humdrum about? All I see is a douchebag arguing about inane stuff. The president got official recognition.Period
