Baashi, this line really spoke to me, "Bills to pay, charity to send, family to feed, exams to ace, bosses to please, ideas to develop into fruition".Sometimes when i look back at the things i been through here and things i am going through, all i can do is say Alhamdulilah. Many times when i wanted to quit school in my sophomo year , i have been hitted hard by the late old man(Allah Yarahma) words of wisdom when he always said to me" be a man (mel iskasosar), have faith in your Almighty and remember everything is written down no matter what you do but you can always learn from it".Alhamdulilah, today i am on my last round of pinning that paper on my wall(IA). Raxiima, every morning when i wake up, i praise my almighty for being so gracious to me.Whenever things got tougher on my backyard, i look solace in the words of Allah.I am currently working part time(30 hours/week) with full load of classes(15hours) and graduate school entrance exams to prepare for.Things are not easy but you don't need to give up like good Baashi said.

Truth, when i was living in the ghetos of Americas, i was told not to associate with the black people by every immigrant i knew in my block.Every one had their own negative tone on everything black. This xenophobia runned deep in everywhere i looked.I was in the depth of despair when college came.My views of my people(being black here) was suddenly changed when i witnessed how a system can glorify how fast your leg can run than how academic nerd you were. We can sit here and have a smoky conversation how black people were oppressed and subjected to every inhuman act possible but i wouldn't do that since i am not an expert in African American history. It is unfortunate that the majority of the poor people in America are black. We can not sum up all black people in one basket.Every one makes his life choices according to his liking.Black people are not predisposed to crime. They do have their rascals as well as clean law abiding citizens.

Marine, Saaxiib my comparison stem from the leadership figure that was absent in this tragedy.Whenever a tragedy happens leaders of the affected nation restore hope and confidence to the people. If you happened to watched the fool this morning, did you see how sympathetic he looked? People always like to see a president who is vigor and vibrant in his approach of national tragedy. Saaxiib, black and poor white Americans people in this country see themselves as Americans in spirit and ideals but they will lack a social base to draw upon when they are neglected like this.Infact this tragedy has shown that they are ignored and met with equal scorn. PS Kanye West spoke the truth this morning even though i didn't agree with the way he handled himself.Somebody gotta say the truth.
-
Heh,the Marine guy!No one is playing the race card here. This is the worst a government can do to its citizens. How can you prepare an emergency rescue aid without doing a prompt surveillance of the situation? The government did not respond for three days when the poor black folks were dying.Today was the only day this people have really seen a help coming their way.Remember when september eleven happened how Rudy Giulianni was on top of everything making sure hope was restored. A figure like Giuliani is what the government failed to provide.Bush adminstration has a problem with the mayor of the city.No problem since that can be understood because of political differences, but for the sake of the citizens can't you mend the differences and build a good communication medium? The united State is a wealthy nation.Compared to the rest of the world.Indeed, to most observable among us,this is a a tragedy of the poor.Whether the above stated beleif is true or not saxiib, this is not illusory, this is real, real life is at stake here and the government went on to fatten themselves off the New Orleans own national guard(sending them to Iraq)! How will a black national guard of Lousiana origin in Iraq feel today when his mom is dying because of lack of aid? This hurricane has prooved that the government-imposed preferential is at work here.In America Saaxib, poverty itself is a political. The poor are the minority who have no political power. The poor are always less organized than the rich.

Its such a shame that Bush adminstration and American citizens are so inconvinienced with gas prices than the death toll of Victims of this hurricane. Its saddens my heart to see poor people lost their homes, their possesions or love ones. The fool(Bush) went on Television today saying that "the response was not good".You are damn right your adminstration response was not good! How can you blame your "people" response? when it is your signature was needed to sign an immediate response by the national guard. He is the executive chief of command, without his signature nothing can be done by the army.I am sure people in New Orleans and the gulf cost are wondering this morning if American people like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh are real patriotic Americans. They being drumming our ears with this words since september eleven.Black people are the damn people who built this nation in to what it is today. They don't deserve this disrespect.Americans are complaining and whining about gas prices instead of thinking about the victims of this Hurricane.Their preoccupation with gas prices is really emabarrasing to this nation of the braves!. PS : I am sorry, i am ticked off with the people of this nation

The reason I posted the picture was because Shahym’s link was not working. Do I have a permission from the girl to post her picture here? No. Do I know the girl ? No I don’t. This is not a place to maintain or police self –concept and social comparison of all Somali girls. Whenever I post news articles with pictures and stories I don’t ask for permission, as long as I can paste and provide a link. Pictures like this can be found in magazines and daily newspapers. Why are we all acting up like we have never seen a Somali cover girl? This picture is the same as other countless pictures we post here. Don’t you all think the airing of all this pomposity is tactless and banal?. Who cares if her brother or sister sees her picture on SOL. The girl already made up her mind to be exposed as a model (plus she is an adult).I think she will even be thankful for us calling her hot! The girl might be saying under her breath somewhere in Eastleigh "Don't you wish your girlfreind was hot like me"

Aug. 23, 2005 — Annie Clayton believes husbands can learn a lot from dogs. "I have been training dogs for 20 years but I have been married a whole lot longer and I firmly believe you can train your husband like a dog because they both learn in the same way," Clayton said. "I am living proof it works. I haven't washed a dish in years." Clayton is the host of a controversial British reality show called, "Bring Your Husband to Heel," which promises wives the chance to teach old husbands new tricks. Margaret and John Elliot, the show's first husband and wife/master and student contestants, have been married for 37 years. "I spend most of my life tidying up after him," Margaret Elliot said. John Elliot said the tone of his wife's nagging stopped him from pitching in more. "It's the way she says 'John' that really bites into my bones," he said. Clayton advised the couple it's all about throwing bones; more good dog than sit and stay. "You're going to ignore what you don't want anymore," Clayton told Margaret Elliot on the show. "Replace that behavior you don't want with something that you do want, which is helping you with the dishes, which you must reward each tiny, tiny little increment towards the whole." On the show, Margaret Elliot practiced on a real dog first. Then, with hidden cameras recording every moment, she put the formula to the test on her husband. And it worked! "I think most husbands have fairly predictable behavior patterns," said Daisy Goodwin, creator of "Bring Your Husband to Heel." "My husband certainly works on a very simple pleasure principle. "Husband can be traineed like Dogs PS: Please Do not beleive what i post here unless it is consistent with what you already know!

Hadad, Mr moralist aka Mr religious.I like your campaign of excising the moral decayed cancer in SOL. You like to enthrust your advice and moral stand on where it is not needed. You like to accuse people's idea by heaping reproach on your one line rhetorical questions. It was not my intention to wish an ill wish to the family of the girl. I don't think me posting the picture here will damage the girl family since the picture already appeared in a national newspaper. If i may offended this "ghost" family, i think they will be willing to accept my sincere contrition since that wasn't my aim.I like though how you preach from the pulpit by nitpicking on people's sentences! PS Adminstration, whats up with the time limit of editing our writtings? now this looks ugly, its hot though!

Aha!.Isn't it ironic the same link you are asking for is the above picture?.

I think i read somewhere that he got introduced to Islam back in high school. The dude needs some psychological help. How can you walk away from fifty million dollar contract.I doubt if being a muslim convertee will hurt his career since most of the rappers and black celebrities are "five percenters".I am not saying he is one. PS: Fidel did you watch the dude in sixty minute? He has a big farm somewhere in Ohio. PPS: Fidel, I asked you that because you are my sixty minute junkie partner

Folklore or fact? Cup of java adds jolt to sex life By HELENA OLIVIERO Cox News Service Friday, August 19, 2005 ATLANTA — Coffee — that black caffeine in a cup. Better than sex? For many coffee drinkers, the brew beats the bedroom, with 42 percent of those in a recent survey reporting that coffee is more or equally important in any given week as sex. The survey, commissioned by Dunkin' Donuts, also found that coffee drinkers reported more robust romance, with two-thirds of respondents saying they had sex once a week or more. Only 58 percent of non-coffee drinkers reported as much action, according to the survey, with more than 1,200 respondents. After water, coffee is the world's most popular beverage, with more than 400 billion cups consumed annually. According to legend, the drink got its start in Ethiopia, when a goatherd tried some coffee beans after he noticed his goats eating them and then acting unusually frisky. It hit Europe in the 1600s and, over the centuries, has faced opposition, with some naturalists claiming coffee made men overly randy, according to Bellissimo Coffee InfoGroup, a consulting company for coffee. "There is this folklorish thing about espresso and sex," said Bruce Milletto, Bellissimo's president. "I have been to Italy 20 times and I don't know an Italian who wouldn't have an espresso at the end of a meal. It gives you a boost and you go home and something might happen." Hmm. We decided to saunter into a Starbucks and ask our own random sample of coffee aficionados about the sensual charms of a cup of joe. "I think it's real attractive to see a guy sip coffee from a smooth ceramic cup," said 18-year-old Nora Kayden, a Starbucks barista whose favorite coffee of the moment is a peppermint misto. George Robertson, 32, said coffee has become synonymous with a first date. "Coffee is a good icebreaker," Robertson said. "Instead of dinner and a movie, the first date is meeting for coffee." OK, fair enough. But what about coffee helping your sex life? So we approach the married George Dimitrios, who downs at least two double espressos every day. "Look, lady," said Dimitrios, "coffee ain't no Viagra." Helena Oliviero writes for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. PS: This is my morning sickness today Will coffee beat stage fright hmmm?.I have a power point presentation today-will see!.

Viking, waswahili walinena "Mchakacho ujao, halulengwi na jiwe"(You don't throw stone at an aproaching noise in the bush, wait and see what it is before you take some action). At first i was joking with the brother but now he proved it to me that he is a simpleton. This girl he is refering to, i have never met her, let alone her being a matter of a heart and loin to me!.This is my last attempt to engage him in any discusion. It seems that he lacks the ability to make use of his brain wisely!.

The funny thing about habit is that the bad ones always seems to creep on us so easily than the good ones.Is it because we don't think hard about slipping into bad habits?.Often, though not necessarily, people engage superficially in good habits because of future expectation of a reward. For example when a fellow student wants a good grade from a teacher he may polish up the writting board in return of being on the good side of the teacher(we use to call such lads the "board shiner"). I have many bad habits that seems to come so often in handy!.I am not the most generous in forgiving insults and injuries.I may harbor resentment and store up grudges(not petty ones) without showing you my true feelings.
