Paragon, I know my unbridled curiosity would have let me be killed by the deranged Mungiki sect. How about taking a picture of the Kikuyu cult with the dreadlocks I have delayed my trip back home several times, but Insha-Allah this year I am coming home mama Africa.Enjoy your trip bro, and make sure you clear the khat bill for the Esich kids PS Feels like I haven't been here for two months. Its only been few weeks. This surely is not a quintessential read for me although a heart throbbing work of staggering genius and hard work. I am reinventing the wheel just to exist and this dude here is talking of thirty millions dollar sale. I have so far tried every dream I can and I can't even come close to turn a buck.I am stumped in the endless life of making the ends meet.I might be blowing self defeating behaviour here, but I know for sure such a promotion of Somali celebrity to be in the web doesn’t help me nor thousand Somali twenty somethings out there

As leaders are guided by an abiding faith in doing right the world bank board did the right think when they loosed faith with Wolfowitz. He probably thought he could get away with irresponsible behaviours.Every one knows that a fundamental safeguard for ethical decision is to make sure that your actions do not negatively impact your integrity. As a leader you will always be responsible of where you’ve been, where you are, and where you are going with your decisions. A friend of mine works with the world Bank in DC area he told me how things were not looking good for the guy the moment the scandal became public.Dificult as it is, owning up your mistake is one of the most important aspect of being a leader.Wolfowitz was in denial since the beginning of this scandal. How will people trust you when you can’t even strive to solve your lapse of judgement without creating more conflict? As someone who prefers a candid leader I think the board did the right thing when they pound his head over the wall for more answers.Leaders should always be responsible for their actions. AKA Stoic

Check your binoculars and sharpen your pen –for you might need it to discern some Qabilist remarks from my rant.If a fly does not get out of the spider web trap faster, it becomes the spider’s meal. I ‘m sure that if I go to Mogadishu or any other major Somali city where my next of kin does not live there is high chances that I’ll become the meal of the other Qabil, unless of course I have someone from my reer Qansax nearby to rescue me. This is the reality of Somalia today. You might doubt me and say, I can always get away in neutral cities, but unfortunately the border lines has been drawn long before I was born. We may all turn our heads and deny the reality of our social norm, but the reality is hard to ignore. We can’t fake the funk. Each and every one of us in here has in one way or another been indoctrinated with the Qabiil.I believe that it is time to see the qabiil issue as it is, and try to reconcile the differences in a positive way.Yes I love my qabil.

I am confused on what Islam says about the whole virginity thing. So if I am not a virgin should I expect a virgin on my wedding? even though I wasn't perfect in emulating the prophet or the Sahabi strict discipline? I always thought the weak and the downtrodden(by sins) can always repent, but not expect a virgin at the end.

Some of you may remember that I formed SOL facebook group.I have regrated for forming the group after soemone I know confided to me about the harm I was exposing to the girls that joined the group.I never knew Somaligate existed until my girlferind/Fiancee warned me about posting my pictures on my facebook account.Even though Facebook was a safe back when I joined it now I realized how risky it is to include people as freinds in your account.I have so far left the Somaliaonline facebook group because I never wanted to be part of any group that may become a place to steal people's snap shots.I personally don't know any one that was affected by somaligate insane exposure of this innocent women.I will advice you people to gurd yourseves against this pathetic loosers that are taking advantage of this girls.Any of that girl could have been my sister or cousin. We live in an age of insecurity so everyone should protect himself.May Allah conceal our sins.Ameen

Since you said "Family Freindly" I am guessing here that it is a family of two and up.I will recommend Toyota Sienna which is a minivan. It comes as 3.5 L with V6 engine.I have seen people swaping this car with Honda Odyssey which I am also a fun of the shape the Odyssey looks. The Honda accord can be another option or my favorite Somali car the one and only Camry. It all depends on how much you want to spend. If you are looking for a small SUV Toyota Rav4 might do alittle justice to your taste. Each of the above car has a unique Safety and reliability credibility.Good Luck! This is the Toyota Sienna,

Xiinow, If there was a predictable pattern with this kid why did some one in authority not help the kid? They all trying to find answers when the world around him has explode as a result of his indisputable craziness.I can understand why the kid would be jealosy of those kids who are accustomed to success-to getting whatever they wanted- but for his Richard Mcbeef play not raise an alarm in the department shows how the school adminstration sometimes are too lazy to help those in need.I can understand the hurdle of the law that can restrict the school adminstration, but sometimes you have to break the law to make things right.I am just feeling bad for both the guy and his victims. The kid's plays were definitive overview of his messed up state of mind. His creepy fascination with his withdrawal should have been a red flag.

This is a story of a Massai Community. I have had the pleasure to live among the Massai in Kajiado.A great number of my family live among this peaceful people. I am mightily impressed with the young woman featured in this documentary. She seems to be determined to make a difference in her community. Although generalization is risky, in the Massai communities Women are still subordinate to men. Women are often married off to older men. This is a community that lives in small rural villages. Their identity is established through their nomadic lifestyle. Enjoy the documentary by Rageh Omar’s Program in Al-Jazeera.

Lol@Cara. I was in Virginia area yesterday and the first thing my family and freinds did was see if I was anywhere near the school.Ofcourse as You know Fairfax was nowhere near BLACKSBURG. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim. And by the way the Imam on the convocation did a great job quoting Surahs to comfort the students.

Socod, the man is in a position to trigger hatred towards minority and women in general. It is easy to brush the incident as a mere freedom of speech, but the man's words can incite automatic mindless stereotyped behaviours. His words were inappropriate for the girls. For a person in his profession of mass communication he should have known better that his views can exploit the perception of his listerners unless you want to tell me the FCC was organized for nothing, but mere umbrella of decency in the airwaves.Although his words were meant for a highly effective technique for gaining attention of his listeners I think they were offensive and had the potential to incite hate towards women and minorities. If you reflect on his words for a moment you will realize that Imus himself felt that he was wrong and not because brother Jesse or Al-sharpton presured him to give in although I beleive they both do have their agendas behind this incidents. For most of the decent people in this country his words were like a bad dream come true.We have seen from the history of this country how hateful words were used against minorities as a weapon to manipulate their worth as a human beings. It is easy enough to say that the man has the right to voice his opinion, but does it mean that everything that comes out of our mouth is right? Yes Some words can be said due to brain-clouding arousal, but when you keep calling names women of color there must be hate behind your words. One that can incite even violence against women in general

We like people who are similar to us. This facts seems to hold true whether the similarity is one in the area of opinions or backgrounds. The American public opinion is every day shaped by the opinions of political and cultural pundits in the business of radio and television. It is hardly any wonder to see millions of Americans turn to the radio and television shows for news and information. Some of the opinions and words that come out of the show producers and hosts is not in any way different than words that a drunkard person spews you with when they accost you in a bar. These producers some times lack conscious effort to weight their words and opinions before they say it in their shows. Well no one could have cared less if their words were less worrisome. Often their words are so vile and offensive that people of color and women in general find them tasteless. This week the producer and the host of MSNBC show “IMUS in the morning” found them selves in hot bed when they referred to Rutgers women basketball team as “Nappy Headed Hos”. Remember in the eyes of the public this is a credible show where politicians and the public give it a great credibility by referring to it as a trustworthy informant of the opinion of the country. The punishment of Imus was a source of puzzlement in my eyes. Instead of NBC firing him they only suspended him for two weeks. Remember this was not his first time of calling women names. He did it with Gwen Ifil of PBS when he called her the cleaning lady reporting from the white house. This is yet another example of hypocrisy that rules the American airwaves. This sort of exploitation of women of color and women as a general is a unfair and disrespectful. The discomfort his words have caused those young women in Rutgers is one that should set forth a debate about the value of women in our society. This sort of vile language should not be tolerated and this is why I think a repeat offender should not be given a second chance. He should be fired instead. NBC should accept the responsibilities of the contents of their shows. I think the biggest reward they can offer these young remarkable ladies is a direct apology and firing of that old haggard man.You are Fired!

Damn they even made it without Greg Odam on the first half. The Buckeye advances to the finals against Florida.I have predicted that they will meet.So they will. This was the year of the freshmans from Kevin Durant of Texas to the big man that was about to tear the rim down in Atlanta tonight-the one only ODEN. Now I will say that as much as I hate Florida I will think that they will silence the Buckeye crowd on monday night. While I beleive Ohio State does have a sharp shooting players like Ron Lewis nothing can top Brewer and Humphrey on that court.Be ready for an upset Ohio. This is the South Eastern Confrence in the house(Florida).Remember how Florida dominated the last time this two teams meet? Till Monday night..Tata Tata....

This reminds me of a story that I think I did share it here .A while back I used to work for this credit Card machine making company. There were few Halimo's working with us on the floor. One of the Somali sister had the habit of wearing a very strong Perfume (or was it the uunssi?).Many people in the company complained in a diplomatic way without seeming to be intruding someone space. One of the whiners approached me about my "freind" behaviour of wearing the Asthma eliciting smell.I had to take myself out of the equation for there is no way a Somali brother will approach a Somali sister about her perfume. This was no-no-no situation for I have learned when I was young and inocent that I should always turn my back when I see someone spreading their legs under the "UUNSII" pot .
