  1. I don't know but music doesn't make any sense nowadays, well at least for me! I used to listened to Oldies music and some jazz (mostly the saxaphone)...but still, I'm not feeling it like I used to. I started listening to the Holy Quran and I find very, very relaxing. I enjoy listening to recitors such as: AbdulBASET -Mujawwad AbduLLAH Al-Matrood Abul Wafa Al-Saeedy ...from IslamWay.com I also listen to 24-hour Live Radio Quran from Islamic Republic of Iran... http://www.irib.com/RADIOS/MEDIAS/audio03a.ram
  2. I would keep it 'cause I am not stealing anything. And obviously I am not breaking any laws. It's same as if you find money on the street and you pick it up and you take it. ayaan_cadeey, why, did a situation like that happened to you? Unfortunately, I'd be embarrassed if I took the money and CANDIT CAMERA TV was there...
  3. Darman: I feel your pain man but you'll get over it someday. You shouldn't have said that you LOVED her from the getgo and lied to her. I think you should of have been honest like you said you were with your EX. Now, I recommend that you go and apologies to this innocent girl! Approaching her and apologizing her might be a little overwhelming at first, but hey, at least you know how to confront someone like you said. Take her out to a dinner and explain how you feel about her. Be honest with her and tell her the truth. Explain to her how your previous relationship ruined you and because of that you're not capable of loving someone new like you loved your Ex. We all had our first love and sometimes we tend to miss that, you know. And don't take your anger and frustrations on innocent girls that you meet along the way Darman 'cause what goes around comes around. Just be careful and treat everyone with the respect he or she deserves. I know you went through a painful relationship and everyone goes through similar stages that you went through and experienced. I think you ought to learn from your previous relationship and mistakes, rather than just taking revenges or humiliating some girl that comes along later in your life, Don't do anything that you might regret later in your life. Plus, don't diss an innocent girl that shows you affectionate and genuine love. Plus you said you are a "unrepentant muslims devoted to the holiness of Islaam" so I guess you know right from wrong. Salaam.
  4. RAMPAGE, good choice! It would definitely be PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH 'cause of all the injustices he had done and still in the process of... ...but better yet, I've changed my mind...'cause the #1 person in the world who is doing injustices everywhere is AROLD SHARON  ...whatever his name is...that ISRAELI EVIL MAN... He's the one that motivates GEORGE BUSH and his little white boys....
  5. I don't think we should criticize someone who is willing to take his time and his effort by doing something positive regardless of what his goals are. I think Taqwa feels comfortable communicating with the brothers and feels that he can convey a positive message that encourages us and motivates us to do good deeds, so criticizing him is totally and totally uncool. Taqwa, don't just give up brother man. If you're still interesting in doing whatever you planned to do, then I think you should go for it. Don't let any negative criticisms get on your way. Just put your TRUST in Allah and you'd be straight insha-Allah. And if you still want to do this, let us know. Salaam.
  6. Ihsān means the highest level of deeds and worship, (perfection i.e. when you worship Allah or do good deeds, consider yourself as if you see Allah and if you cannot achieve this feeling or attitude, then you MUST bear in mind that He sees YOU). Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (ra): During the lifetime of the Prophet (salalaahu calayhi wasalam) some people said, "O Allah's Messenger, Shall we see our Lord on the day of Resurrection?" The Prophet (salalaahu calayhi wasalam) said: "Yes, do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at midday when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky?" They replied, "No." He said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night when it is bright and there is no cloud in the sky?" They replied, "No." The Prophet (salalaahu calayhi wasalam) said, "Similarly) you will have no difficulty in seeing Allah (casa wajala) on the Day of Resurrection, as you have no difficulty in seeing either the moon or the sun." And if you want more theological understanding about Allah, Islam and of that aspect, then I would recommend that you read the Quran thoroughly as well as the Sunnas of the Prophet (salalaahu calayhi wasalam). Salaam.
  7. Nowadays, the whole world is talking about CLONING a human being. In my point of view, I believe that cloning is wrong because when one clones another being, he is playing God. These scientists are saying that they have cloned this and that, and that they have created a person, when in reality they altered Allah's Creation. Allah is the only Originator of Creation. So to alter that is a great sin, in my point of view. It is a great BITCA (Somali word). Allah said in the Qur’an that they couldn’t even create a small fly. And shaytan (Satan) said that he would influence humans to do such things like cloning. I am against cloning and I don't even believe in all of this Shaytan work that these so-called scientists waste their time on. I think this world is getting out of control. A lot of evil things are going on and all this hatred, wars, and political propagations are getting on my last nerves. One love.
  8. I can't even log on to the chatroom period. Maybe you can help. After I put a NICKNAME in that small box... This message comes up: "You may not connect to DigiChat because no site with the specified ID could be found."

  11. Number 19, I dont know if women or girls are allowed to wear pants (but they do anyway)...and I know for fact that they shouldn't wear anything resembling men you know what I mean...and as you know men are allowed to wear pants (dah)...but hey...I hate to change the subject but I just... ...I just wanna know the chronology of the prophets (peace and blessing be upon them all). Please...I would appreciate if someone can list the prophets in order from Adam to Muhammad (pbbuh)... P.S... There is a picture of a tree that has branches coming out of it and it has the names of the prophets and how they are related...I know that tree still exits somewhere and would be nice if someone kindly put it up online... 13. This is so sad...really it hurts me. But on the other hand, this is just nothing b/c they'll have to pay for their responsibilities. They disbelieve in Allah and they'll have to pay for their actions. I was watching MTV the other day and there is this black kid by the name of allah...and I pray to Allah Almighty that he loses b/c I just can't stand it. CIO.

    Nayaa

I will never call a female nayaa anymore cuzz I aint like that no more. But they called themselves nayaa and I heard once that you can call the woman you're married Nayaa cuzz I guess it means a whole lot to them...like love na mean. So why are they calling themselves nayaa, get it? Women can call themselves nayaa but we can't use this word toward them. So how come we can use the N-word huh? Am sue ya'll...
  15. Muhammad (pbbuh): Legacy of a Prophet was an excellent program. Karen Armstrong did an excellent job describing the different events that took place during the Prophet's life. Man, she is very knowledgable woman and I wish she becomes a Muslim someday insha-Allah. And listening to people who converted to Islam and their stories and experiences in Islam was very interesting. I think this gave a different perspective to non-Muslims who watched this program. Dhegburo, I think you're right. I am sure there was lot of pressure on PBS for airing this program or anything about Islam with a postive message. They always want to encourage the media to air something negative about Islam since this is a Christain country or whatever, but if they only knew you know. Salaam and Happiness.
  16. Asalamu Alaykum, MUSLIM AMERICAN SOCIETY (MAS) AND ISLAMIC CIRCLE OF NORTH AMERICA (ICNA) ANNUAL CONVENTION 2002 If you're interested and around the eastcoast area, there is a MAS and ICNA convention held on WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 25 - SUNDAY DECEMBER 29, 2002 IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. Question???

    Very good question:
  22. Yes! I think it's a good idea to teach our youth about Somali culture so they may achieve an understanding of their roots and about their heritage. Rather than shipping them to Somalia in order for them to receive this "cultural understanding," another idea is to build schools in the western world and have courses that might be helpful and beneficial for everyone. A lot of other ethnic groups such as Asians and Latinos teach their native language in schools, even through university and college levels. So how come there is no Somali language being taught? It's just a matter of organizing and commitment. Ramadan Kareem.
  23. Lili, I guess in human nature, man tend desire more than woman. In order for a man not to commit adultery and cheat on his wife, Allah made it easy for him by providing and allowing him to marry more than one woman. Of course marrying more than one woman is not that simple. There's a lot of responsibilities and duties that the man must fulfill such as providing each woman with equal love and justice. The point is that Allah allowed for man to marry more than one woman and all Muslims have to accept that with no doubt. It is an order of Allah (swj) and you can read suraat An-Nisa (The Women) for further details. Ramadan Kareem.
