  5. Very good question! I guess it's easier to say ifur than i love you when you're a women...or anyone in general. I guess people generally focus on the negative aspects of their relationships. Some people dont usually express their love for one another in front of their kids or in public, they rather do it in private or in their "bedroom"... Ifur aa?....i dont know about this...but if my woman requests or says ifur...i be like okay...what was that line somali men use...when they're divorcing their wives?
  6. Jamilah, I know it's more confusing to think that a righteous person would end up in hell. But everything is already planned. You see, before creations, everything was planned. Our deeds are written at birth, whether we will end up hell or heaven. You see...a righteous man can be a righteous all his life and when death comes knocking on his door or close to his door, he'll do something or commit some illegal, forbidden act and he might end up in hell. It's part of faith. Allah knows if we're gonna go to hell or heaven, right?...so what's the point of praying salaat? It's all about faith and as Muslims we adhere to this principle. And of course like you said...Allah is most merciful and most forgiving...and this makes a difference.
  7. ZARQA, Is it a crime to post topics in the women's forum? Dont get me wrong, you're asking a legitimate question..and I am asking you one too...I know... Maybe I like reading different topics and respond to them if I choose to. And since this is a WWW-World...skys the limit...free to choose! Think of it this way...men and women are inseparable...even if there were men's form...there would be sistas there.
  8. Ayaanick, Interesting questions girlfriend... Can money buy you happiness? I'd say yes b/c depending on the situation you're in...I think if you have sufficient amount of money, your life would be stable and would have less worries. I think the happiness comes in when you spent your money on good a cause like charities and paying off my school tuition. Do we have a free will? Yes - in a sense b/c our choices really dictate our daily life...eating, sleeping, marriage, school, religion...etc On the other hand, every thing that happens to us is already predicted and predestined by Allah. Remember as Muslims we have to belief this principle in our faith. Sometimes I wonder if Allah already predestined our lives, what's the point of living? This is where faith comes in...the free will to choose the bad and the good or to pray salaat or not to. I talked to a Shiek long time ago and I asked what would happened if some righteous man who has done nothing but righteous acts throughout his entire life was predestined to go to hell...and his response was that it could happen...you can be righteous person all your life and can end up in hell when you die b/c this was predestined for you. And I belief this really happens. Only Allah knows everything you know. What do you think?
  9. Filsan, You got some vocabulary girl...lol...very funny!
  10. Maybe you guys can post their pics online and we'll be the judge of that. I've only seen Iman and she aight man. She's about the average Somali chick na mean. Why is it that most Somalis have BIG AZZ FOREHEAD. This chick told me one time that she can spot and tell a Somali person from other non-Somalis. It's true though, Somalis got big azz forehead dude. Now, my forehead is aight cuzz I got it from my momma...
  11. Some women demand big weddings but I dont think Somali women are the ONLY ones that demand huge weddings. It's common human feeling amongst all kinds of women (probably in men, too) in every ethnic backgrounds and cultures. Besides, I dont care if somebody plans a huge wedding, it's just a matter of their own business. I never been in a Somali wedding before but if I do go to one, it gotta be huge and exceptional. No one wants to see a low-budget. Another reason why people in general (yeah...let me stop stereotype lol) plan huge azz weddings is probably because it's the new millennium and they wanna have a long remembered weddings, and no one wants to be labeled having a sorry azz wedding. I don't know. Can you think of other reasons?
  12. Or the Men's Forum or the Dating Forum or the Health Forum?
  13. Afghanistan was very worse back in the days than Somalia. A group of students (TALIBANS) got together and got organized. They killed most of the warlords and upper clansmen. They completely disarmed anyone who carried a gun b/c everyone had his own gun in those days, even the youngers. They completely took over the country after disarming these people. Now, disarming wasn't that easy...they had to kill a lot of people in order to accomplish what they had to do. After they achieved at disarming these chaos people, the whole country was in order and civilized. They rebuild the Islamic state of that country like it should be in the first place. They destroyed most of the Christian-like that existed in their country. Consequently, the U.S. interfered and destroyed what used to be a civilized Islamic state. You know what happened...the Post-9-11 and all of that shitty shyt that took place. My point: This Qabiil shyt aint going nowhere but perhaps we can get organize and solve this problem like the Talibans...the million question is: who's gonna volunteer?...This silence aint going nowhere and Somalia will perhaps remain as it is or it'll much worse. P.S. I aint into politics or anything in that nature..I believe politics corrupts people...look at the U.S...they can't agree on one thing. Anyways...just thought I would express myself a little...this really saddens me...people who call themselves Muslims but at the same time act like they're barbaric and chaos people...who don't value life! May Allah guide us all and re-unite all of our us Muslims.
  14. Very Creative! I can't wait to see this movie:
  15. Do you know if Islam allows a person to get a Life Insurance or things in that nature? For those who aren't familiar with this, Life Insurance is basically putting yourself in a insurance policy like you would put a insurance in your car, house, computer, and things in that nature. The company would pay your family: if you die naturally or, in some cases depending on the company, if you commit suicide. Asalaamu Alaykum.
  16. OG_Moti...you cracked up man! lol
  17. Sounds very fascinating to me...lol Very creative!
  18. I have come acrossed many registered SOL member names that sort of standout in its unique way. I hardly visit SOL but when I do, I often come across some peculiar and fascinating, nicknames that sort of makes you want to read their responses or their topics. Names like...Psycho_Sue or Somealien (Some Alien), and you can probably come up with several more lists. Go ahead...try to see if you can come up with some more. I can't think of any right now b/c I don't come here too often.
  19. I don't really care if other people stereotype me or judge me cuzz it doesn't really matter to me or bother me...I'm totally careless of what others think of me. They're the ones who are wasting their time and putting their mouths on things they don't know anything about. But you gotta remember of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important.

  21. YES! I would agree with SHYHEM & NOVA except I wouldn't put money next to religion. It's true man. That small piece of paper can have an enormous power and can influence people. I think money rules this world as you can. The more benjamins you have, the more power you get, the more worlds you can rule. I was reading few months ago how this paper money came about and you'd be surprised, too, if find this article and read it yourself.
  22. I guess the most common reason is security purpose, and I that's cool. I mean a lot of people feel if they give out their names, these so-called psycho-path weirdos would come after them (not that I have seen a somali psycho-path in my town but who knows!). Osman, Anisa, Cibaado, it's nice knowing you all! Bee bye!
  23. My best advice is PRAYING SALAAT. This is the best therapy you'd ever find in this world. Other things you can do is LISTENING the Quran...most of us listen to music 24/7 but listening to Quran, one can find it very relaxing and soothing. Other than that...do some extracurricular activities...such as hittin' the gym, playing sports, or jogging every once in a while... Dont jump off of a clif man!...lol!
  24. Just start out by introducing yourself. First greet her with "Asalaamu Alaaykum"...just as if you would greet any other Muslim. And then go from there. It's rare to find a sista like that these days...so you gotta treat like a QUEEN. And dont mess up her life either...there's a thin line between love and hate you know...remember that! And dont act ghetto either...lol...you know how we is sometime.
  25. NUUNE, Quraanjo?...Very funny man! I like all kinds of pets but I dont have any at the time. I love me some snakes though...such a beautiful creatures. Ya'll seen the movie ANACONDA?...big azz snake huh... Batuulo, Are they in love?
