  1. Somali men cant accept when a somali woman achieves her goals. They always have to citisize. Is it hard to be happy for her? maxa niga galay say u labsato ? cajiib....faduul iyo shaqa la'aan niga badatay. cadaan for cadaan man you surely think different. Those somali men you hang out with must have influenced you a great deal.

    Seriously

Dear sister, Allah swt said in the Quran that he does not burden us on what we can't bear.If you are diabetic, and you think u cant take on such responsibility. Like raising two kids who are close in age, then take your time. You don't have to have another kid right away.
  9. ^^I thought it was you who got hitched. My bad (somehow i didn't pay attention to the nickname, I saw brown and I assumed it was you) Ninbrown congratulations walaaal. Ilaahay guurka guur khyr qaba hakaaga dhigo. Caruur naftooda umadooda iyo dalkoodana wax tarta ilaahay haku siiyo. aaamin!
  10. ^^^Wealth alone will not lead to happiness. But, if you supplemented it with a good family, and a career that you love am sure you could have a content life. Question If you could have any special power out there, what would it be?
  11. ^^^^ lol no wonder you are so into knowing other fellow somalis. now i know what u guys have in common My dream job was to sing, and I would have became a singer if there were no restrictions/religion in life. bt too bad now, am not allowed to sing. so now i have to put up with a degree on psych
  12. I am all for obama for president. But, he only got like 24 % of the white votes. so am kinda scared for him when it comes to other states where the majority are not black. Perhaps Bill clinton got what he wanted, trying to make race the issue at hand. we will see
  13. ^^I don't think it is wise to post other people's pics. just a thought!! Urban just take that person to a Somali wedding so they could have a glimpse of how Somalis dance. And, as far as the traditional Somali clothing goes take them to a local Somali store. Sorry, I cant think of a good somali website at the moment, if i figure out something I will let you know.
  14. We must do something about our youth, before it is too late. For instance, invest in after school programs so we can keep our Somali kids/youth on the right track. I am sure money won't be the problem, since fundraise events could be held. The problem that somali community is facing is not financial setback, but rather they cant plan or invest in the effort that is needed to form such programs. p.s. ilaahay ha u naxariisto wiilkan sabar iyo imaana dadkiisa haka siiyo
  15. ^^ I guess it is islamically correct then if you are bringing a muhrim
  16. looool this is hilarious. How can you go somewhere full of people you have never met knowing you are there to look for a life partner, sounds strange to me. anyways, is this even allowed from religious perspective? mise shiekhyada jeebkooda kasoo saartay...
  17. ^^^don't got one Question Do you ever have a moment of reflection, where you reflect on your life for instance what you achieved and what you want accomplish in the coming years?

  19. ^^^in small towns discrimination is more pronounced, since most of the population are white. Therefore, If you are from minority group your rights might be overlooked.
  20. ^^^lol it is creepy huh marrying your own cousin whom you knew almost all your life Anyways, I was messing with you guys. Imagine the lil problem you have and your whole family will end up taking sides. I rather all my family on my side " kudaafka iska eri"
  21. I would never turn in anyone, whether they are murdering innocent individuals or murderers. I wouldn't be able to handle all those court appointments and stress that a witness will go through, not to mention you are putting your safety in line. I was wondering if there was a point in your life that you were discriminated against based on your race, religion , culture etc? and if so, how did you handle it?
  22. No dear my very existence revolves around them
  23. Hey people there is nothing wrong with marrying your cousin, if you think he is the right man for you. Actually, there is a cousin of mine who is educated and recently received his PHD not that am saying I will marry him, but my mom has been a pain in the b*** yacni yuusan ku dhaafin ninkan. who knows if I cant find another one I might settle for him hahahaa. So, it is a personal choice at the end of the day. Besides, most Somali parents are cousins or closely related. No shame in that. Marry ur cousin Ghanima if you want to, and stop being so defensive that is my 2 cent am out of here
