  4. ^^ you are right they are rare bt not impossible to meet. Get to know their sisters hahaha
  5. ^^I hate ppl who smoke too. My neighbor smokes a lot, the other day I got a ride from them and I had to hold my breath. Subahanalah, and they have young kids.
  6. looool actually many guys hold the door for me, bt they usually gaze down and great me with "asalamu alaikum sister" and just walk out lol. I think they have hijab phobia, asataqfuru laah I know they suppose to gaze down am only kidding
  7. ^^ lol yeh I know it was not personal. I am just saying I wouldn't mind if a guy went out of his way to surprise me with gifts
  8. ^^ well am spending that day with the same ppl I spend every other weekend with lol....but hey if i had a guy who loves me it wouldnt hurt to have that special day where he showers me with gifts.
  9. she begged him to come back?? now where is her back bone & pride? walahi kama helo dadka saas u jilcisan ninka inay indhaha ka gasho uu dhoho walaalay macaney isoo cesho aan kusoo laabto oo waxwalba qabto oo ku duugduugo dhoho ee aheed..waxas naag ma aha...allah ya ibara aan wax u sheege Okey guys dnt get me wrong walahi I do believe once you are married a couple have to do things together and you know consult one another. Perhaps, she should have consulted him abt her hair, even though a hair is not a big deal. still he is her husband whom she loves right and it wouldnt hurt if she told him abt it. But, he took it to another level walking out on her and now she begs him to come back..not only did she begged him to come back...wuu is xariifiya oo wali sii hadhadlaya...naagtan naag ma aha wa sac....if you are reading this dnt be offended rather see this as a wake up call ...hurdada ka kac oo iska celi ninka. dnt worry we have ur back gf
  10. my favorite color is black. I wear black hijab, black abaya, black jacket black shoes looool ..black is the fashion color for me um ..question? erm...how many times did you fall today?? honestly...come on...spill! I fell once today and I was a lil embarrassed bt it was not my fault the place was slippery and I was wearing high heels. Anyways, I looked around to check if anyone was around and I didnt see any one and I was glad as I stood up and started cleaning my abaya this lady yells from the distance "are you okey?" am like " darn " Thanks for you advice guys regrading music. I will delete the music from my ipod, almost 80% of my ipod is music whether it is arabic, somali, or english. I will start working on stopping it for now at least, then slowly I might stop all together. insha allah May allah facilitate that for all of us, to have strong iiman to stop what is haram. p.s. anasheeda wa caadi laakin heesta music ku jiro lama ogola diiniyan. question If you wanted to invest in a business back home (Somalia)? what would it be? and why?
  11. ^^ get enough sleep, at least 8 hours daily, not only to get rid of under-eye circles bt to maintain your general health and lead a healthy life style. Question is there anyone in here who use to listen to music and stopped listening to music all together? and how did you go about it? am a hijabi and i do listen to music, and i know music is haraam. It is that one thing that I can't help but keep doing it, even when I tell myself thats it i wont listen to it anymore. So my question is How did you stop listening to music for good? even when I stop for a while and then I see my lil sis listening to it or friends I start over, or i see myslef singing along. It is been dead end efforts to stop listening to music. Hopefully, your inputs will facilitate my intentions of improving myself as a muslim sister.
  12. ^ And since when observing became hating? when those observations are consistently negative, it says a lot abt the individual. It depends on your personality, if you are happy type of person you are going to interpret what you come across differently. If you are a snob or a racist you gonna see the whole world in the same line. I don't like the majority of Somalis as well, they all suck in my opinion...they have no national pride, they have issues all of them, they are evil, they are xasiids, they are always being jealous/haters of people. I think I'll do another topic on that in the future...insha'ALlah. Modesty, it seems you are angry at the whole world dear. Take it easy. Besides, I dont know what national pride you speak abt, when you hate ur own ppl. Now talk about contradiction
  13. I think you are generalizing and putting all arabs and asians into one category. I have many asian and arab friends, and they are friendly and easily approachable regardless of whether they wear hijaab or otherwise. ofcourse there could be those who prejudice against others. And, those happen to be from every culture and race. Even among somalis, we tend to prejudice against one another and at times other races and ethnicities. So, there is no need to judge the whole race by the actions of few. Everyone sees things from different angles, and they have their own interpretations. Maybe just maybe when you look at asian hijabis you think somehow they are discriminating against you merely based on your preconceived opinion of them being "racist". We don't just see the world how it is, but the way we see the world is influenced by our own believes, and maybe even prejudice behaviors toward others. so yeh maybe you don't like asians yourself. Now lets look at the underlining issues as to why you hate asians? there must have been some personal experience that shapes your current opinion of them? now do share your experience. That could help you release some of the accumulated anger and frustration you have for those asians. we are listening..take your time....I was told am an excellent listener and would make a great therapist.
  14. ^^^^^This new movie "step up 2" is coming out on feb 14, I will see it with my friends, and go out for a dinner after that. Thats pretty much it. and yeah I have to buy a red rose and chocolate for myself since am single ...
  15. Nephthys, he certainly did overreacted, I guess he just wanted to leave and he is using the first excuse he can find. Anyways, religiously speaking it is haraam to dye your hair, bt there is nothing wrong with cutting your hair. I personally dont think she needs to consult anyone about her hair. Qofku ilaahay ayuu wax u dhaafaya laakin qofkale ma aha in uu u dhaafo. If she wants to dye her hair so what?? why should he care? like puhleez the old man has issuesssss
  16. ^^^ lol why didn't you take him out or something, you are such a boring host not to mention you need some anger management classes hehhe kidding..dnt start hitting me with ur remote control so how many months left till we get lil nephthys

  22. I dont know what preserving a culture and language got to do with the stability of Somalia? Well, many Somalis didn't return to Somalia for the past 17 yrs, not even for vacation. Perhaps, if this ongoing civil war came to end Somalis would feel a bit more safe sending their kids to Somalia for vacation just so they could grasp their language and be exposed to their culture. In that aspect preserving your language has a lot to do with having stability back home.
  23. Dahia, it has nothing to do with his race, as they say race is skin deep. His race is quite irrelevant. Obama can bring change in the states and that is exactly what Americans and everyone else needs. At least that is my stand on the issue. Jacaylbaro lol@ cuz he is dumb and black..are you like ever serious?
  24. ^^ yeh am from Toronto sis. Just wanted to know though, I support obama and everything he stands for. Can't vote for him but hey I will add him in my prayers
  25. I will pray that Obama wins insha allah GO Obama!!
