I agree w/ Jimcale a library is a good idea that is full of books that convey the prophet's live and his companions in detail. But a museum? what you gonna have there ? the prophet's pictures?...am a bit lost.

Happy international women day ye all. Women made differences throughout the world, and came so far. Lets work from there and become doctors,engineers, dentists, nurses you name it... dnt let anything or anyone to stop you from reaching your dreams....only the sky is the limit Also, we should help out those back home insha allah in whatever way possible. I would say helping them out financially would make a whole lot difference in their lives, while we go shopping for meaningless things...just the other day I bought a purse that was costy..and then later i was asking myself was it worth it? ...am sure a whole family would have been so happy if i ended up sending them that money to meet the day's end. Insha allah may Allah swt preserve our iiman and ease our difficulties. Trust me as a woman we will always have to work extra hard to show that we got what it takes. Just recently there was a research study that revealed that woman were getting underpaid for the same job compared to men. But, dont ever be discourage put your faith in Allah swt and things will work out at the end. You will be surprised.... wa salaam

You should never cheat under any circumstance, and if you do well you should pay for the consequences and I can't say I sympathize such ppl. Ibti, it depends what he is taking. I heard couple of advanced economic classes having an open book tests. But, then am assuming it is all about application and you have to analyze so the book alone open won't help you, all those equations are just a starting point, you need to have much deeper understanding of the material. But, you are right on a large scale university courses are not open book exams. But, it depends am assuming. that is my 2 cent!!

Lets agree with you for the sake of it and say the nail is 10 cents......then how much is the hammer??? since the whole price is $ 1.10...that makes the hamer worth $ 1.00. Therefore the hammer is only 90 cents more than the nail...the question specifically asks the hammer to be a dollar more....so in that case the nail has to 0.05 cents and the means the hammer is 1.05 which makes it one dollar more than the nail price.

^^ sometimes people don't know that. Lets hope we are all smart enough to take the good from what we encounter w/ on daily basis. There is the whole idea that the society affects you, and how you perceive things. Which is why I thought that perhaps that kids are better off raised in arab countries.But, now that I think about it perhaps the best way is to teach your kids the religion...and just leave everything else to Allah swt. Ofcourse you should refrain from raising your kids in ghetto areas like many somali families do, and perhaps keep them occupied.

^^I guess it would be good in a way, especially if you did spend a great deal of years in the europe or America.You wouldn't feel much of a culture shock.Also, from what I heard there are more work opporutnities in dubai relative to other arab countries and at the same time it is arab country so there is still that arab culture. So, when you look from that perspective it looks like city where you can balance your life. But, there is only some aspects of westernization that has positive connotation....when we talk abt prostitution bars things like that? it is the very reasons why muslims dont dnt want to raise their kids in the west? so in that way it is disappointing that the arabs are developing the same culture. But, the fact that Dubai is competing with the west economically is something to be proud of since it is an Arab country.
