^^why would you be anxious to raise kids in this world as you put it??....I understand that one can be anxious abt raising kids in the west in terms of culture n religion. Since, most of us would like to have kids who preserve their culture and religion. But, talking abt kids being abused? i dnt think that applies to our somali community generally speaking thats.....maybe we should talk abt parents being taken for granted....and kids being just out of control. salaaam

^ Okey ...I just prefer to use it when am delivering a shocking or surprising story....so i'll just have it my way...dhaqta is qabo wax aadan waliga maqan ku sheegaya- I rather use language in my own unique way
-
dhagta is qabo ma waxa rabay in aa kusoo waco. That doesn't sound right. I rather use it in like " Hey am gonna tell you a shocking story dhaqta is qabo"...it makes better sense that way.. Jac adiga horta somali maba tihid aad u ooyi jirtay...maxa ka rabta cidii somali ah iyo cidii kale lol Malika I meant to write see you around. It's just a short form (am too lazy i guess).. now here I GO ..SALAAM Happy

oh my god what a coincident, I was bored the other day. So I went to some indian store beside my house and I got that movie. When I came home I got busy and ended up not watching it. And, I haven't watched it since...It's still in my desk. now that you all like it, am gonna go watch it. But, whats up with sad ending, I thought indian movies end happily ever after salaam..

If I was married and he cheated on me I wouldn't forgive him period..... bacdiisa madow ayaan u xanbarin lahaa.. Marriage or even relationships should be based on honesty and trust, and that just goes out of the window once mistrust and lies get in the picture... But, as somalis say " habar fadhida lagdin la fudud" I was never married so who knows. It's easier said than done. You might be crazy in love with the dude who cheated on you...what can i say? I'll just pray for you in whatever decision you choose whether you stay with em or kick em out ...But, If you stick to that relationship I hardly doubt you will ever 100% trust him..this lil voice from back of your head will say "war kii xaguu jiray maanta talow".... my 2 cents salaam

^ I know there are some somalis who can't speak somali, but don't make it seem like they are the majority. Am 21 yrs old and I can speak somali pretty fluent, maybe even better than you...so try not to lump everyone into one category...But yeah some somalis certainly need to start taking pride in their langauge and heritage...as for those who choose not to, it's their loss. There's still over 8 million of us.... ilaahayoow luqadeena, dadkeeyna iyo dalkeyna no daa amen amen amen... salaam -
lol yeah am almost 22 now, am having hard time believing that. Anyways, as they say you're as old as you feel...and I feel young Yeh many more Norf....May Allah bless the coming yrs for you n yur loved ones.

Afro my ayeeyo told me that an old lady was asked " aduunka waxaad rabtay oo dhan ma heshay"....and the old lady said "uma eeka in aan malqad ka leefay"....meaning she still wants to live and she still has so many things she would love to achieve
