  1. Siren sis,I agree with you that parents need to relate with their children and communicate with them and not disregard such topics. Cuz, if one does not educate their children at home, then the child will be educated elsewhere and most likely educated wrongly. Blessed adna walaal 100% waan kugu raacsanahay. aabo iyo hooyo kasta meshay jogaanba wa in ay caruurtooda si wacan u koriyaan waxa xuna ka reeban.meelkastana wax xun iyo wax fiican way yaalaan laakin waxan ka waday uun halkan aya ka daran uun hadii labada melood la is barbardhigo. alhmadulilah that been said you both raised excellent points and am glad we are on the same page. salaam

To the poster i dont know what can help you lose weight...bt work out ..am not sure what camel milk does or doesn't ..give it a shot though.. salaam
  4. nice video ... ubah is so pretty mashallah..her accent is cute too. salaam
  5. loool it takes you 3 hrs to make 7 pieces of chapati? thats time consuming. why not make sabayad that takes abt an hr to make 25 pieces.. btw how do you make it? I never made one before. salaam
  6. I guess when two people keep saying the same thing back and forth it gets boring loool but I would like to see what others say abt this...
  7. Aaliyah, I find this interesting. Move on if u're bored lol. lol thats me i dnt like to discuss something more than its due.. I still insist that every name has a way of saying it. And, that it has nothing to do with a dialect.but hey lets see what others say about it Lol malika...r u serious? salaam
  8. I think it would be "caashey" and "dahaboy"...or maybe not LOL.. salaam
  9. How can someone be forced to dress in a way they dnt want to? specially in France? ...of course the answer is they chose to.... you ppl just dnt want to admit...if anything girls who wear tight *** clothes or half revealing clothes wear it to please a man... its so sad walahi to see Muslims encouraging the veil to be banned. personally i dnt wear niqaab and I think its optional. But, those who chose to wear it have my full support. They are free to dress how they see fit.. salaam
  10. if you are from the north as u claim....how can our dialects be different? I always thought there was one northern dialect? unless there isn't? anyways for the luv of god we have been discussing this for the past couple of minutes.Total waste of time ...let just move on Ng thank you now we are on the same page. Every name has a way of saying...case closed!! maanta ayaay naagta reer waqooyinimadeedi meel kaga dhacday...alllah hoyooy!! kaftan bas lol salaam
  11. it's sounds right on your tongue for a reason, dear. You've been influenced by your environment as have I. Sahroy sounds like a pirate to me lol. I'd always say Sahra or Sahrey. LOl@ pirate...sahrey does not sound right sis. Like I said its abt the name nothing to do with dialect. Some names sound right with "ey" where others don't. my parents are from the north and speak northern dialect but of course I did not grow up in somalia and grew up with different somalis from different regions. so who knows I might have developed my own unique somali LOL salaam
  12. I already took few examples and i dnt even care abt somalis from north or south or whatever..But what sounds right on my tongue rather ..am not really following any dialect.. salaam
  13. Like I said it depends on the name....but ok lets agree to disagree let me take few examples.. amal- amaley (makes more sense when u add ey) where for example sahra- you'r not gonna say sahrey..its better if u say sahroy.. halima- halimoy...halimey (sounds totally outa of it) that's my opinion salaam
  14. loooooooool LILY I don't know
  15. when you say north? do you mean somalis from the north?lol ...I seen somalis adding both "o" and "ey"...depending on the name I dnt think it has anything to do with where you hail from, in case you forgot am from the north myself... salaam
  16. caaliya is arabic name and thats how you write it in arabic. Aaliyah is just the english version of it. Theres no somali version at all but yeh somali ppl will probably say caaliyoo (adding o to make it somalinized)... anyways most somali names are arabic..except the very original ones that no one uses lately..
  17. lol lily aaliya is as much arabic as imtithal. Not much of a difference there anyways am bored today ...someone entertain me
  18. Hello trollers....hows things w/ u all
  19. adeerkey ima xiijinayo wuxu aminsanyahay ayuu sheegaya...
  20. But you don't think it's normal, Imtithal! You grew up in a place where people display their affection on buses and streets. Were your parents there to guide you ALL the time? alhmadulilah almost every step in my life my parents have pointed out whats wrong and right even today and am over the age of 20. But, am not here to talk about myself or my parents. Rather the bigger picture and whats currently happening with the majority of the youngsters. Alhmadulilah there are good young Somali children in today's high schools. But, I just wanna focus on our shortcomings and how we shouldn't just shrug...a parent has to realize that he's playing a much bigger role than the parent who has children in any muslim country. Cuz his/her child when they step out of the door they are exposed to so much filth. Basically am emphasizing on parenting because the society has different values and if anything is working against the values that the parents have. So, if they don't work extra hard to instill those values in their kids, they should know that the environment will have an upper hand. salaam
  21. Malika sis I don't know much abt arab countries. But, I still insist that arab countries are better than the west. In here people are way too open with that subject and that disgusts me personally. Like the other day I was on the bus with my lil sis and two people were kissing on the bus and my lil sis just giggles ..I wasn't even paying attention and am like what you giggling abt? and I see two ppl on the bus making out....of course I cant get up and tell them hey get some privacy but walahi its heartbreaking what u c around here... So unless a parent is always there guiding his child along the way. Telling him whats wrong or right and relating w/ his child. Am afraid that the child will think what they see at school/media is normal. salaam
  22. since everyone was calling me by my old nickname, I thought that was easy to figure out lol salaam
  23. Zulfa well put...couldn't have said it better.
  24. ^am sorry to hear that walaalo. Things will get better inshallah with time.... All that we can do for our loved ones is live righteous life and make dua for them. salaam
