  3. great wedding song... [Verse 1] To see your face, to hear your voice And oh, to touch you is a dream come true So I'm standing here, with my hand held out Knowing that your love will never fade, I stand amazed without a doubt [Chorus] And I wanna hear your voice, in the morning when I rise I think I know I'm just a normal man, only made of sand except when you're by my side Will you love me, teach me, don't leave me I pray And when I, and I'm thinking of the times Your hands in mine, together we will stay You made me better today Better than I was before And now my heart can rest and I will search no more You made me better today, today, today [Verse 2] My heart has wings Oh you take me away And every prayer I've ever prayed was answered today So I'm standfing here, with my hand held out Knowing that my love will never leave My hearts on my sleeve and now I believe [Chorus] And I wanna hear your voice in the morning when I rise I think I know I'm just a normal man, only made of sand except when you're by my side Will you love me, teach me, don't leave me I pray And when I, and I'm thinking of the times Your hands in mine, together we will stay You made me better today Better than I was before And now my heart can rest and I will search no more You made me better today [Verse 3] I stand proclaimed, true love is here to stay I stand proclaimed, forever starts today Today... You made me better today Than I was before And now my heart can rest and I will search no more Cuz you made me better today, than I was before And now my heart can rest And I will search no more You made me better today Today... Made me better today.

  5. if 17 years old is a young adult in your book, 112 years old man? is what? a young adult? or old hag...I gather you would go with the former lol. Talk about being baised. Anyways, everything is about relativity 17 years old is a child compared to odey dhali kara...
  6. luv this song......Saado Ali well done! salaam
  7. ^^^age difference is important, am not sure waht she and this old man will have in common. Absolutely nothing walaal. Age is important factor, and anything more than 10 years makes people lose communication..... you dnt just look at things only from one side....if he was 30 or 40 I could have over looked...who knows the man might still be attractive....even though I would still say hes too old fo 17 yrs old kid. Inshallah I hope we stop this type of acts in our culture...10 years difference is ok..a bit more than that is even fine if that girl is ok with it..... bt in this case the age gap is over 80 years now that is simply disguisting, there is no need to tip toe with "oh everyone has a choice"...am just saying as it is. salaam
  8. lol@ odeyga abilitigiisa....I am shocked and hurt with those who condone such behavior. nina waxba ma fahmayo unless its him who is in that position...aduu bal close your eyes and for once imagine u are 17 and married to someone over 100 years old??.. ok enough said! salaam

    Learn 2 Knit

I was wondering if you taught yourself how to knit? cuz it is not working for me lol..bt thankfully I saw a friend of mine the other day knitting this beautiful scarf, and she told me she takes private classes and am up for that idea. So did you taught yourself or you went to classes where a teacher actually taught u how to knit? apparently I am not good at teaching myself, I rather someone helps me step by step along the way?
  10. he is not 30 or 40 at least then I would have gave her the benefit of the doubt. But, in this case the man is 112 years old  You don't need anymore hints to come to the conclusion that this marriage is against her will. and no am not saying every single family in somalia mistreats their daughters n forces them to marriage. But, some do and its is not unheard of. I rest my case!!
  11. The divorce rate in our community is soo high so everyone has to be independent and work...and if Allah blessed u with a good man who is not broke who makes decent living of i dont know 100k a year lol...raise your kids and live your life. But, either way have your plan B ...yaala isku haleenaya aduunkan la joogo  Malika thanks xabiibti..how's your little girl doing? I bet she's growing too fast. salaam
  12. hello ladies how was your day?? hey to malika and juxa and zakina(is that someone I knew in Sol that changed her dirac??)
  13. Originally posted by Femme: Wow. That's all I can say. Wow. I'm 25 and the idea of marrying a 40 year old man is horrifying to me. Wow. lol femme tell me about it. sadly some people in here want to pretend this girl chose to, they simply do not understand how things roll back home. Girls dont have a choice....i guess thats hard to comprehend since we live in a side of the world where we do as we please.. salaam
  14. Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as having said: "A woman without a husband (or divorced or a widow) must not be married until she is consulted, and a virgin must not be married until her permission is sought. They asked the Prophet of Allah (may peace be upon him): How her (virgin's) consent can be solicited? He (the Holy Prophet) said: That she keeps silence. (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book of Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), Book 008, Number 3303)" There is no way that a 17 yrs old young girl can be happy about marrying 112 years old man? no way? maskaxda ma galaso ilaahay ka baqa..ilaahay somali ha cafiyo...am sure one of these days ilaahay will send his anger on them for ruining the lives of young girls. I have a sister the same age, and I know hell will have to freeze over before I will give consent to such thing. inan kasta walaasha, edada, habaryarta iyo gabadhaasa kasoo qaad....walasha 112 years old ma uu qudhaaan? uma malaynayo??? May Allah swt guide somalis....ameeen! salaam
  15. lool I heard of a similar story a while back. But, that story played out differently the family realized the guy was a somali in his wedding when he invited tons of his family members lol..now that I think about it this story seems to be adjusted every once in a while just to get a point across. LOOOOOOOL!!!
  16. I came across this post and I couldn't help bt share my view. Inshallah you won't be offended. I don't think its the same when a man who goes to your university or works with you approaches you. As opposed to someone you dnt know who approaches you out of nowhere in the middle of a street or whatever it is a bit creepy. So, her brother had the right to come in the conversation and speak on his sister's behalf.so maybe you should go around and find her circle of friends and see if someone can introduce you to her. Or, if you still want to approach her next time just make sure no one is around and dnt talk to her in an alley maybe in like a mall and state your intentions toward her and seee where that takes u....either way why was her brother and a wadaad there both at once? lol you are one unlucky dude...and please next time dont comment about her height or anything else people simply do not like people to make comment about their appearence on the first time they encounter them. I hope that helped!! salaam
  17. The fact is this man left his hometown of burco and his families to attack laascaanod and oppress its citizens. So, we are not talking about an innocent man here. Waxaa habooneed in reerkiisa iyo cidii kale ee ka naxa in ee latalinlahaayeen oo ku odhan lahyeen war dadka magaladooda uu dhaaf oo dhibta ka jooji...so this could have been avoided. However, now that he is dead ilaahay ha u naxariisto sabar iyo imaana dadkiisa haka siiyo. salaam
  18. ^my dad told me that he once went to borame to work and the language there is different than the typical somali dialects we are accustomed to. I can't remember now bt couple of words he told me I couldn't even guess what they meant lol..no offense to reer borame. I do love you as my somali brothers/sisters am just saying luqadiina waa adagtahay in la fahmo!!!!

  21. you are wlc and sorry if ur fears were doubled yeah koolkat when r ppl gonna get to stop drinking and driving. It's crazy.
  22. ^ there was a hadith where a man was about to leave his camel untied. And, the prophet calayhi salaatu wa salaam asked why he would do such thing? ..the man said "I put my trust in Allah"....the prophet scw said tie him first then put your trust in Allah. So basically be careful, take precautions, and then put your trust in Allah. Simply, don't neglect yourself and then say it was meant to be. Hope that sums it up!!!
  23. Baby survives after being run over by train Subhanalah. This shows you ina likuli nafsin ajalin musama and this baby was not meant to die even though his stroller slipped into the train tracks and was run over by a train. what a miracle. I have recently heard similar story abt a baby on stroller that was run over by a truck bt unfortnately that baby wasn't as lucky. Inshallah those of u who use strollers on daily basis for your kids be mindful. This will serve as a lesson for you!!! salaam
  24. Man, 21, faces judge in drunk-driving deaths Posted: October 19, 2009, 12:24 PM by Rob Roberts A 21-year-old man facing 16 charges in the weekend deaths of a Toronto family made his first appearance in court this morning.
