Love this somali song and the guy is cute mashallah
-
S S you apparently chose to ignore my whole post and took it out of context.... read it again what I meant by "madow"..... thinking that they are "dad madmadow" and I mean "dadka madmadow ee dalkan dagan" and it doesnt matter what these kids said they are imitating the truth is they are copying the black culture and the ghetto lifestyle. Whether you choose to agree to it or not its really none of my concern. Ismahaan well put sis.

Eid mubarak to you too Jacaylbaro...kulu sana wa antum bikhyr...

These 'kids' are to blame for their actions. But they likely wouldn't have acted this way if they had good parents so there we agreed.
-
The point walaal you are right everyone is responsible for their actions after certain age. These teens are like 16/17 or whatever and they are old enough..but you know life is a process. am sure they could have turned out differently if their parents were a bit more devoting to their kids, giving them time, lecturing them, sending them to good school, trying to make sure they hang out with the right friends...making them hang out with the right kids. I was just listening to this lecture and the shiekh was like a parent has to go from his way to push his kids to hang out with the right people. Unfortunetly, you can never underestimate a parent's role...But yes at the end of the day qofkey ku xidhantahay ..qof abihi dadaalay ayaa noqon kara qof xun, qof abihi dan kalaheen aya noqon karna qof wanaagsan anything is possible. Laakin inta badan familygii dadaala caruurtooda ayaa laga arkaa. With that been said, this type of acts are very common nowadays in the somali community? so really one has to ask themselves? whats the cause of this? parents are to blame partially? bt environment? social class? and so many other things are interlinked? and what can we do about it? what can we do to avoid such situations with the younger one that are growing up right now...who will be teens in couple years down the road? and yeah how can we preach these youngesters who find themselves in these type of situations who lack respect both for themselves and the people around them? inshallah we should think about how we can contribute in a positive way and yeah no need to point fingers at no one..but somali parents need to take their parenting jobs seriously? ma aha caruur iska dhaldhal ..10 11..12 ..hadhowna caruurta iska ilow? caruur lama dholo kaliya wa la koriya edab la bara..these are the future of somalia and if they are all ending up like this? yaa somaali u maqan? okey thats all for now...hope I got my own across...

^more or less that is the point I was trying make lol so thank you. Inshallah lets try to stay as natural as possible. But, those who choose otherwise than that's fine at least try not to use too often, relax it once every while...relaxing your hair will eventually damage and affect your hair. Perhaps, instead of relaxing your hair just use the straightener. whatever works..just try to minimize. salaam

oh wow ... Ismahan I agree walaalo.Their parents are to blame. But, it has a lot to do with caruurta somaliyeed thinking that they are "dad madmadow" and I mean "dadka madmadow ee dalkan dagan" and taking the black culture. You would see the same pakistani kids about their age clinging to their culture...knowing who they are...where somali kids have "identity issues". You can note that from their slang dialect/ their clothing that they tend to choose to wear and how they carry themselves....thats my opinion and till we tell somalis kids "madow ma tihidin..ee orda dad iska dhiga oo umadiina dadka wacan ku dayda" we are not going anywhere. my 2 cents. salaam

^true some somalis have soft hair, bt we are talking about hte majority n how nowadays you wont find anyone with kinky hair, or if you do they are rare. Chubacka true relaxers do make hair more managaeable I agree with you. But, I don't believe they are good for the hair on the long run. Like theres health aspect to it so your hair dresser has a point. It doesnt matter whether she does it or not, she is advising you that it isnt good lol...adults r always like that, do what I say not what I do Abyan true but nowadays good hair is straight long shiny hair..anything kinky is a bad hair. And, everyone seems to believe that...

Watch the above videos and share your thoughts ladies. As for the brothers they can also share I guess who they find attractive? would they find a girl with kinky hair attractive? and lately are there anymore sisters who actually go natural? I hardly doubt almost any wedding you attend every girl has a long soft hair lol.... share your two cents salaam

lol@ stand at the corner...you are not much of a teacher if you punish kids for asking questions? talow how do you punish those who actually do something bad? I don't wanna imagine

Picture the morning taste and devour We rise early pace up the hour Streets is bustling hustling their heart out You can't have the sweet with no sour Spices herbs the sweet scent of flower We came out precisely the hour Clouds disappear the sun shows the power No chance of a probable shower I fell in love with my neighbors daughter I wanted to protect and support her Never mind I'm just 12 and a quarter I had dreams beyond our border. Is it true when they say all you need is just love, Is it true What about those who have loved Only to find that it's taken away And why do they say that the children have rights to be free To be free What about those who I've known Whose memory still lives inside of me. Fatima, What did the Young Man say Before he stole you away On that fateful day Fatima Fatima, Did he know your name Or the plans we made, To go to New York City, Fatima And after school we studied the lessons I ask God to slow down the seconds He does the opposite that's what I'm guessing I better chill and count my own blessings Fatima, Fatima what is the matter How come you ain't come up the ladder So we can be like there's no tomorrow Damn you gonna make me wait until tomorrow She spoke Arabic and Swahili She'd say Upendo (Swahili for love) Anta Habibi (Arabic for, you are my love/dearest friend) You so bright, you shine like my TV Then one day she never came to meet me Is it true when they say all you need is just love, Is it true What about those who have loved Only to find that it's taken away And why do they say that the children have rights to be free To be free What about those who I've known Whose memory still lives inside of me. Fatima, What did the Young Man say Before he stole you away On that fateful day Fatima Fatima, Did he know your name Or the plans we made, To go to New York City, Fatima (Repeat) If beauty was in the eyes of beholder how come everyone hushed when she walked by How come girls would look just to scold her How come the angel wanted to hold her? Fatima, Fatima I'm in America I make rhymes and I make them delicate You would have liked the parks in Connecticut You would have said I'm working too hard again. Damn you shooter, Damn you the building Whose walls hid the blood she was spilling Damn you Country so good at killing Damn you feeling, for persevering Is it true when they say all you need is just love, Is it true What about those who have loved Only to find that it's taken away And why do they say that the children have rights to be free To be free What about those who I've known Whose memory still lives inside of me. Fatima, What did the Gun Man Say before he took you away on that fateful day Fatima Did he know your name, or the plans we made To go to New York City (Repeat) Fatima.. (Spoken) Now I just want to make it clear, I don't want you to shed a tear. Because this here, is a celebration, We're not mourning, We're celebrating Yeah So baby don't cry, Please don't let the tears fall So don't cry.. oh wow this song had me in tears...hope you all like it. salaam
