Yeah i heard so much discussion about this.. But this is what i think.. I think to love someone is like to love your family friends siblings etc... But to be in love is like the kind of love between the opposite sex.. not friends.. but boyfriend/girlfriend and husband/wife. You don't necessary have to like someone to love them. For example sometimes your siblings can get on your last nerve but you still love them.. But i think to be in love with someone.. is to both love and like the person... lol ne way im confusing myself now i think i'll stop here... I'll let someone else give their opinion

First of all.. it ain't ur fault that u didn't have feelings for the guy.. But you shouldn't have led him on for 6 whole months. Now thats wrong... Besides that accepting his gifts when you had no feelings for him at all is wrong too. But hey at least you told him instead of using him... That must've been some brother walahi lol Buying gifts and promising to buy cars.. and u didn't even give him a kiss lol... But guy number 2... TO HELL WITH HIM.. First of all like u said u didn't lie to him.. u were going to chill wit ur girl.. but things took a turn.. and when u talked to him on the phone.. ur dad wasn't home so technically you didn't lie.. Guy # 1 just try to be nice to him and apologize to him. Don't try to fix things very quickly because it doesn't work like that. I've been in a position like that.. honestly i feel guilty.. but in my case i wasn't getting watches and sh!t lol  Guy # 2 seems very paranoid and commanding.. but you know him better than we do... if you really like him a lot.. then just be friends with him since he made it clear that, thats all he wants... and see how things work out from there.. if not then girl move on because you have your life ahead of you. You wronged and you were wronged... so i guess its tit for tat.. that still doesn't justify what you did.. but hey life goes on.... Don't be too hard on urself - - *P*E*A*C*E -

Me personally i don't believe in love. Well i'm not sure its such a confusing thing. I mean i love my siblings parents friends etc.. but love for a man??? Ever since i was kid it was glued into me that all men are EVIL and there can never be love between a man and a woman.. only a mutual understanding.. and thats wat led to marriage and having children.. But of course i don't believe in that... I know ALL men are not evil... but then again i don't see how 2 ppl can love each other forever till death do them part. I've seen very good relationships and not only because they were in "love" but because of trust. I don't think i can just love a man, get married and have his children... I want to get married to someone thats like a homeboy.. a friend i've known and someone i trust.... neee wayzzz i know i sound confused and wat not... lool but hey im still young.. and i ain't lookin forward to marriage, love and dat ish now.... Rite now its only bout lust and crushes lool *playin* Wit all this love in the air... is it just me or am i starting to see a lil flirting between che and scorpion lool Writing god knows that to each other in foreign languages... Be careful now some of us watch dem indian movies.... NOT loool I'm playin y'all do ur thing IM OUTTTTTTIE *MWA*

I was reading the topic how to please your husband and someone suggested they should put up how to please your wife.. and i had something of that sort lying around in my email.. and i thought why not post it up..... Well here goess... Prepared by Muhammad AlShareef, Reprinted from Islamway.com 1. Dress up for your wife, look clean and smell good. When was the last time us men went shopping for designer pajamas? Just like the husband wants his wife to look nice for him, she also wants her husband to dress up for her too. Remember that Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - would always start with Miswak when returning home and always loved the sweetest smells. 2. Use the cutest names for your wife. Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - had nicknames for his wives, ones that they loved. Call your wife by the most beloved names to her, and avoid using names that hurt their feelings. 3. Don't treat her like a fly. We never think about a fly in our daily lives until it 'bugs' us. Similarly, a wife will do well all day - which brings no attention from the husband - until she does something to 'bug' him. Don't treat her like this; recognize all the good that she does and focus on that. 4. If you see wrong from your wife, try being silent and do not comment! This is one of the ways Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - used when he would see something inappropriate from his wives - radi Allahu 'anhunn. It's a technique that few Muslim men have mastered. 5. Smile at your wife whenever you see her and embrace her often. Smiling is Sadaqah and your wife is not exempt from the Muslim Ummah. Imagine life with her constantly seeing you smiling. Remember also those Ahadith when Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - would kiss his wife before leaving for Salah, even if he was fasting. 6. Thank her for all that she does for you. Then thank her again! Take for example a dinner at your house. She makes the food, cleans the home, and a dozen other tasks to prepare. And sometimes the only acknowledgement she receives is that there needed to be more salt in the soup. Don't let that be; thank her! 7. Ask her to write down the last ten things you did for her that made her happy. Then go and do them again. It may be hard to recognize what gives your wife pleasure. You don't have to play a guessing game, ask her and work on repeating those times in your life. 8. Don't belittle her desires. Comfort her. Sometimes the men may look down upon the requests of their wives. Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam set the example for us in an incident when Safiyyah - radi Allahu 'anha - was crying because, as she said, he had put her on a slow camel. He wiped her tears, comforted her, and brought her the camel. 9. Be humorous and Play games with your wife. Look at how Rasul Allah - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - would race his wife Aisha - radi Allahu 'anha - in the desert. When was the last time we did something like that? 10. Always remember the words of Allah's Messenger - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam: "The best of you are those who treat their families the best. And I am the best amongst you to my family." Try to be the best!

Hey Nomads Suppose you had a homeboy/girl that you're really close with. You trust them dearly and you tell each other everything. But you also had feelings, strong feelings for this individual, and they had feelings for you too. But out of fear that things wouldn't work out, neither of you acted on ur feelings.. Wat would u do?? I mean would u be willing to go out with this person.. and risk a great friendship.. or would u take the chance hoping that this would turn out into something wonderful that you will not regret.. - - Plz brothers and sisters help me out... and im desperate need of advice..

Princess_sexy yes it is true that women are inferior to men when it comes to the quran??? Says who??? We're all equal in the eyes of Allah.. and nowhere in the Quran or haith does it indicate that women are inferior to men. Please don't translate Allah's ayats in your own words. I don't mean to sound harsh.. but its a big sin.. We have different responsiblities and our duties and rights have been given to us by our Prophet (PBUH) 1400 years ago. And our rights were not granted according to who's inferior or superior to whom. That is the mentality of the kuffar back in the day when they buried the female infants and kept the male infants. But alhamdulilah such acts are now abolished... Nasra... wow.. does it really bother you that much? lol I don't really see anything wrong with it.. And i didn't know that "Gentlemen First" was the islamic theory.. lol and "Ladies First" is not only a theory practised by the western world. And religious or not i think its very respectful towards women. But hey i guess we're all bothered by different things... 1 question though.. why were you shocked when you heard it coming from a sheikh as opposed to non-religious brothers?

Hey nomads! The other day I was just lying on my bed looking at pictures that i haven't seen for soo long. And some of them really bring back memories.. And i realized how much memorable moments i have... And i thought it would really fun if the nomads shared their memorable moments with one another... And since i proposed the topic.. i think it'd only be fair if i went first... So here goes....... There was this one girl that attended the same school as me. I'll just call her "Asha" for now. She was one of those girls who always boasted about things that she never really had. But this one was an especially mean one. She had been in North America for several years but didn't know english too well. She often spoke slang.. so nobody really noticed. She had this boyfriend that she bragged about very often. Lets call him Ahmed. From what we had heard Ahmed sounded like an urban mythical god. With golden brown skin, 8 abs, very strong, sexy afro and what have you. I remember when they first began talking... Asha mislead him to believe that she was 5'5, blondish brown hair, grey eyes... u know sort of like your typical model. But she told us they worked everything out. And they were crazy about each other going out every weekend and all. One day, during exam week me and my all my girlfriends got together at one of my girl's houses. Well Asha and the girl lived in the same building and Ahmed's school was right across from the school. So obviously everyone was dying to meet or at least lay an eye on this Ahmed. But Asha kept hesitating... After we begged for a while she gave in. So when it was their lunch time we all went to the pizza store across the school. Well we did see Ahmed.. and he wasn't all he was worked up to be... He was light skinned with an afro.. yeah but that was about it. NO strong.. he looked too skinny to have 8 abs... not sexy but he was actually pretty cute. But that wasn't the case. Ahmed didn't even know Asha! And she actually approached him. And he embarrassed her infront of everyone. To save her further embarrasment i suggested that we go back to the house and order in. But Asha insisted to have a word with him. She said that he probably "thinks its someone else" loooool I wuz wondering how could he.. after all those wonderful weekends.. but of course i didn't add to the damage Ahmed had caused. As if that wasn't bad enough.. we ran into asha's mom who had just come from her adult school.. Asha was dressed up in her mini skirt and her long boots.. all made up and everything... Being your typical somali mom asha's mom started screaming and asking what happened to school and what in god's name was she wearing. At that moment we were the center of attention... It was soo embarrassing... Asha and her mom got into the biggest fight ever. Noticing that everyone was starring Asha's mom said she didn't care if we were chilling together as long as daughter went home and put on a pair of jeans.. So asha came home but of course she didn't change her clothes. She watched ahmed from the window all day... and she said she'll wait for him till after school... And i guess you all know what happened after that.. Well turns out... Asha and Ahmed never really knew each other.. they just talked on the phone a couple of times.. But everytime i remember that day i crack up with laughter.... I apologize for the essay lol

Most of you have probably already heard of the Free Masons. I'm just wondering, whats your opinion on them. And how much do you really know about them? Me personally I don't know too much about them, and I'm really interested to learn more on this. I was hoping we could educate one another. And if anyone has any helpful links, or anything of that sort, I would really appreciate it

Actually, I would go for it! There is nothing like having your own baby that you gave birth to. Its true there are a lot of risks associated with the fertility drug. But if i wuz in that situation (Allah forbid) I would go for it, you never know, it just might work out. If not, then i would turn to adoption or other methods. But it wouldn't be so bad to try it out... And lakkad, best of luck for your ur aunt inshallah, i can imagine what kind of situation she's in.

Subxanallah don't bite the brother's head off. He's not making these things up from his own mind. Because Islamically a woman is not allowed to be a president or a ruler of a country. That doesn't mean we should be limited to cooking and cleaning and taking orders from our husbands. We're encouraged to be educated and seek a profession that safe guards our rights as women. When you think you're fighting for the rights of women, you're actually going against Allah's word. If women were allowed to rule and govern countries, we would be allowed to lead to salah as well, but i'm sorry to say that, that isn't the case my sisters. We don't need to go with everything the kuffar say, we've been granted our rights 1400 years ago. And no one is any position to disagree with the rules set forth by Allah and his Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). I don't mean to offend anyone in anyway, and i'm very sorry if I have. And i'm speaking generally, I hope no one thinks that i'm attacking them personally. But hey its the 21st century, and most of us are grown adults, who are entitled to their own opinions, even if they do happen to go against our Islamic Law (Again i'm not referring to anyone in general.) And Asiya to answer your question "will somali women play a ever play a big role in their countries politics or will it always be a mans world?" I strongly doubt to see a female somali president anytime soon. Especially considering the condition that our country is in, and also conisdering the roots of our country. Right now I think the closes country to have a female leader anytime soon, would be without a doubt The United States Of America. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Condellisa Rice, or Hilary Clinton running for president in the near future.

loool I think the best thing to do is tell her like Nasima said. But you don't want to be rude about it. Just tell her that lately everyone is calling us twins and what not, and I don't feel comfortable that you're constantly buying what I buy, and tell her you need to express your own individuality. You weren't born with a twin, therefore you don't need one. lol Or when you go shopping together, tell her something else would look good on her. Or get one of your other friends to convince her to buy something else, or have them tell her to stop dressing like you all together. But i see how annoying that can be. Situations like that happened all the time back when we were in middle school But assuming she's naag wayne lol someone needs to tell her thats not coo  LoL ne wayzz sis.. i hope i was of some hope to you

First of all.. The decision is yours and only yours. And if you think you've made the right decision then that is all that matters. But I really don't understand, how you let a girl who increased your happiness and your success in life go. And just because she was from Yugoslavia doesn't mean that your child wouldn't turn out to look like you. But then again its also considerate of you to think about the future of both you and your future offspring inshallah, and also the wife.. incase you move to Somalia. Who knows if she would agree to move at all, and if you did move and she refused to go, who would have custody of the child. I know it seems like i'm over-reacting but its all things to think about, and you probably have, since you came to this decision. How would her family feel about the idea. And the whole thing about keeping the somali race going.. congratulations, because i feel exactly the same way. But like i said... the decision is yours, and if your happy with it then thats all that matters. Its sure beats regretting all this in a couple of years from now. Plus when you get married and have children you want to be completly comfortable with both the situation and the person, you wouldn't want to be thinking what if I married a somali woman instead...and blah blah blah. But Inshallah may Allah help you out.. and I hope you find a somali girl that increases your happiness and success in life.. just like the one you let go.

My pet peeves: 1)When someone walks on my left side.. thats annyoing beyond annoying. GRRR... Walahi it just ticks me off to the fullest. Or ppl who walk ahead of me when you're walking together. Either walk side by side or at least a step behind!.. I know its weird.. i don't understand myself but it just annoys me. 2)I hate people who lie about everything, even little things that doesn't benefit them in any way whatsoever. 3)When some parents are always concerned what other kids do.. when their own children are the talk of the town. 4)Grown women with kids.. who think they're still kids... 5)When people try too much to please other people.. who hardly acknowledge their presence. Especially when the older somalis **** up to cadaan people.. 6) Old grown men trying to holla at u. Like what are you trying to do. Aren't ur wife and kids waiting for you at home? 7)When someones thinks they know everything1 8)Bad breath 9)When ppl with flat asses wear tight pants.. ufff 10)When i'm half a sleep and the radio is on.. 11)When's its cold.. and the blanket only covers half my feet. 12)When ppl type slow... 13)When on msn.. i'm in a conversation with a bunch of ppl.. and they all have their status on Away, or Busy or something 14)When someone doesn't get a hint.. 15) When someone i'm chatting with has the same font and color as me 16)When i'm watching TV.. and there is noise coming from every direction in the room.. 17)When i'm talking to one person and someone else is trying to talk to me 18)People with Thick accents who try to explain things loudly 19) Strange Odours 20) Ugly guys who claim they want a girl who's BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY ASPECT!... and what will she want to do wit u.. 21) When i'm writing something on a sheet of paper.. and some letters are bigger than others.. and keep erasing till i get it perfect... (believe it or not it does happen) I can go on all night.. but i think i'll stop here!
