  2. You ever heard of "sadaqa jariyah"?Some things you do,such as plant fruits for the people, build a masjid,or have pious children who make ducaa for you will benefit you after you die.On the other hand,if you ask for Allah SWT to punish someone, that may be the difference between heaven and hell for a Muslim. And maybe Allah SWT will forgive your sins for holding your tongue.

I luv those things and always have one or more on me. Salaamz. You mean to tell me you are stranded on a deserted island with no hope for survival, nobody else around, and absolutely nothing to do,and the only thing you would bring is BLOODY CHAPSTICK?!!!?!!?!???!!?!?!?! C'mon,u gotta bring something better than that ,ya know? As for me,I would bring my computer.
  4. It's definitely a sad situation in Somalia right now when the leaders and warlords don't give a sh*t about the hundreds of thousands of innocent children ,but only about their own selves, but we must look on the bright side that these children are all Muslim and have reached the BEST destination. And we need to pray to Allah SWT that we go there with them and that these children will "put in a good word" for us to Allah SWT,so to speak. And after that,we must pray to Allah SWT that Somalia gets it's act together so we can have peace and then insha Allah not so many innocent people will die.
  5. Originally posted by Kashafa: On a totally different matter, I'm wondering why we're so quick to forgive tyrants after their death ? I don't think anyone's forgiving him,but he has reached his destination that Allah SWT has decreed for him and there's point in making it worse for him
  6. Pucca,I was definitely amused by your conversation with the "hot sheikh" LOLOLOLOLOL
  7. Nebi Muhammad SCW said to not talk bad about the dead,so if anybody has ducaa to say for him,if not,it's probably best to say nothing about any dead muslim
  8. MAAAAAAN there really must be no room left in T.O. if ur that close to the airport LOL
  9. Most of that list is true, but some points are misleading, such as the one about taxes.Only in Eastern Canada would you pay 15 % sales tax, which is known as HST(Harmonized sales tax). This was brought in to help the easterners deal with the astronomical sales taxes they had to pay, which were at one time,up to 20% in Newfoundland! In Alberta,we only pay GST(Goods and services tax),which is 7%.The province of Alberta does not charge a PST(Provincial sales tax). When it comes to income tax, sure it's a little higher, but it can be dealt with the same way as in other countries, such as putting money into RRSP's and other investments or other things such as union dues, and your tax bill will be deducted for these investments. As for the job situation, again that is mostly only a problem in eastern canada.Somalis, and almost everyone else, wants to live in either of 3places:Toronto,Vancouver,and Montreal. So you can expect the job market to dry up very quickly. If you come to Alberta(big cities are Edmonton and Calgary),you CAN actually find a decent job. While they may not be the dream job you're looking for(I know most Somalis want a computer-related job,but so does a billion other people) and you may have to work in a factory(but DO NOT,I repeat DO NOT apply for a job at Lakeside Packers or Cargill Foods, trust me),you can survive on your wages and in Calgary specifically, you can take advantage of the comparatively lower rent costs,or even apply for gov't housing, which does not take much to qualify(you need to make less than $39,000 a yr to qualify for a 3 bdrm townhouse, for example),and some other things, which I am told, cost less than in the east, such as gasoline, utilities, and certain groceries. As for the weather,I won't even go there. This is NOT the place you want to live if you want weather like you had back in Muqdisho, except for maybe in B.C.,where it rains a lot. So,in short,Canada is not that bad.You just need to know how to deal with it's problems, which every country has,and you need to know where to live.
  10. U a crazy guy,Fidel. There are about 20 Vietnamese women where I work and when I go into the lunchroom at 7:00,I swear it smells like about 20 cats have just died!!It reeks so bad,I have to make a mad dash for the smoke room(yes,we can still smoke inside,HAHA!).That is the only benefit of smoking, that I don't have to smell that crap all lunch break. In other words,I don't know how you can even stand looking at that stuff, let alone eat it.As for me,my menu is BAASTO,BARIIS,iyo Tiiboon steak and baked potato.

Your Life Path Number Is 3 3 Your Life Path is one that emphasizes expression, sociability, and creativity as the lesson to be learned in this life. You are among the entertainers of the world, bright, effervescent, sparkling people with very optimistic attitudes. You possess the most exceptional creative skills: normally in the verbal realm, writing, speaking, acting, or similar endeavors. The lesson to be learned with a 3 life path is that of achievement through expression. The bright side of this path stresses harmony, beauty and pleasures; of sharing your creative talents with the world. Capturing your capability in creative self-expression is the highest level of attainment for this life path. You are warm and friendly, a good conversationalist, social and open. A good conversationalist both from the standpoint of being a delight to listen to, but even more importantly, one who has the ability to listen to others. You are always a welcome addition to any social situation and know how to make others feel at home. Your reative imagination is present, if sometimes latent, as the you may not be moved to develop you talent. Your approach to life tends to be exceedingly positive, and your disposition is almost surely sunny and open-hearted. You effectively cope with all of the many setbacks that occur in life and readily bounce back for more. It is usually easy for you to deal with problems because you can freely admit the existence of problems without letting them get you down. You have good manners and seem to be very conscious of other people's feelings and emotions. Life is generally lived to the fullest, often without much worry about tomorrow. You are not very good at handling money because of a general lack of concern about it. You spend it when you have it and don't when you don't. On the negative side, a 3 may be so delighted with the joy of living that the life becomes frivolous and superficial. You may scatter your abilities and express little sense of purpose. You can be an enigma, for no apparent reason you may become moody and tend to retreat. Escapist tendencies are not uncommon with the 3 life path, and you find it very hard to settle into one place or one position. Guard against being critical of others, impatient, intolerant, or overly optimistic. Typically, the life path 3 gives an above-average ability in some art form. This can encompass painting, interior decorating, landscaping, crafts, writing, music, or the stage, or all of the above. You are apt to be a happy, inspired person, constantly seeking the stimuli of similar people. Your exuberant nature can take you far, especially if you are ever able to focus your energies and talents. What Is Your Life Path Number? All that crap just because of which day my birthday is?I didn;t even read this,I just copied it to my reply. Can someone tell me where I'm headed?
