JB, maya wax kaloo ay ka waramaan maynan waayin, it is the reality every Somali is trying so hard to ignore and picture as though everything is dandy back home. Well guess what it is the BLOODY TRUTH, hell has befallen on the poor Somalis, may Allah help us. The sad part is that everyone thinks s/he has the right to come here on SOL (Online Fadhi Ku Dirir) and breach on how perfect this or that warlord/Semi-Sheekh is simply because of allegiance to some bleeding tribe. Now I ask, have you ever seen any topic on SOL as to the best way forward for the poor Somalis? Educated fools are ruining our people raping and destroying the core pillars of our once great nation. Well said Ngonge and Northener, the North Americans better stick to "American Football" because I dont think they know how to play real football (except for this team from Atlanta damn they are good), I went to Toronto this summer with the UK boys and guess what we had 4 teams in the Querter finals, 3 in the semmis and the finals who else... Somali Stars V Sahan both from London, and boy it was the best game I have ever seen and I mean ever. The only missing game was Atlanta V Sahan now that would have deserved to be televised Live on every tv in the world. The best player in North America? I would say someone from the Atlanta team (sorry dont know their names).

Castro: Horta your information was very helpful and thanks for taking the time to reply to me. When I made the initial post I was thinking of a stand alone application since everyone does not have an internet connection at home, that is not to say I dont intend to create a website for it (in fact I already have written the script and it is ready to be published on the net) but I am still thinking of the best way I can package stand alone application. I have considered using the following, 1. RDBMS, XML or CSV to hold the data, however these options have dhibkooda u gaarka ah. 1. The the downside to using RDBMS is that one has to have the server installed on their machine, this in my view would restrict me to use Ms access (since most of the people have Microsoft products) and as a result of using access would loose the portability between different Operating Systems. 2. CSV or XML seems to be the only other options I have, however one would be able to modify/delete the file that holds the data, this again is another limitation. I know Foxpro would be an option balse even though I have not used it before I believe I can crack it if I browsed the net for 1 or 2 tutorials on it is sytax ee ka waran? Am back, still at heathrow airport, but I am back, thanks for all the feedback guys, I am sorry that I did not update you on the progress of my Project (it aint easy using dialup connection in Africa, and the worst of all, they installed key loggers on most of the internet cafe's so I could not trust my username/passwords with them). Once I get home I will fill you in, and hopefully will try and reply to every comments made towards my question.

Hello guys, CS and programming happens to be my fav subject, so count me in. Btw I have a question for the gurus, I recently got hold of a massive electronic dictionary (on mysql database, 20,000+ words) consisting of Somali > English translation and vise versa which was compiled by University of London (Dont ask me how I got it) and I was planning to write an application (front end) for it, but I cant decide what language to use (Java, VB, PHP ASP etc), and for the sake of portability what db I should use file based or one of them DBMS's?

unconfirmed reports are saying the so-called Somali London bomber-to-be has been captured in B'gham this morning, I hope and pray 2 Allah that he doesn't turn out 2 be Somali. If he turns out to be Somali would you feel sorry for him at all? personally if he was planning to blow up that train then I would say to hell with him. but for some reason I believe he was framed some how.
