  1. hornafriq ...the Somalis in the Italian Somaliland did not as much big reason to resist the Italian then the Somalis in the British ''Protectorate'' did, because it was maybe, just maybe, it was beneficial for them' What a flimsy, lousy and embarrassing excuse. Is that why you tolerate the 'warlords' too?. I've heard the same words from Arabs with no courage to rise against the royals. What a 'patriot' you are? 2. Baashi They were unhappy cuz the south dominated the political discourse It is progress that you broke ranks and admitted that northerners were 'marginalised'. However, i do not agree with the excuses you gave for the 'margilisation', because not all northerners were excluded from government and other sections of society. Here is a few points which might give us a clue to the real reasons some notherners were 'marginalised'. 1. Some notherners were dubbed 'wakaalada' by southerners because of their efficiency as civil servants and domonating presence in every government departments. 2. The northerners who were denied high posts in the early Somali Republic governments were highly qualified compared to their counterparts. These men were later jailed by Siad and who saw them as a threat. 3. High posts in the Somali Republic were not gained on merit. The people who got to the top were hardly educated and if anyone doubts this, just look at the ones now known as the 'the warlords'. Baashi the Brits did little for Somaliland because they were restricted by the protectorate agreements and by the way Somalilanders resisted them as your post clearly states. The three reasons given by your post also clearly show whatever the Italians did in Somalia was out of self-interest. Since no one is asking us to recall the Brits, and you asking us to rejoin the Somali Republic it only fair to ask; WHAT DID THE REPUBLIC DO FOR US?. I am sure you will find that the Republic destroyed what Somaliland had before the union. CIAO MAMA CIAO
  3. Gediid,Angel and co; you guys are naughty, naughty, very naughty! . Daaya inanka neefta ha iska siidaaye! One of these days someone is gonna do harm to themselves because of your sarcasm and satire! Dantay, call me what you like but i've got a feeling you posted that article just to remind us that; four years ago the Economist wrote about Galkacyu!. What lesson can we learn from a town that has a barrier that devides the north of it from the south along clan lines? The article concludes; ''It would be ill-advised to try to reconstitute Somalia as a centralised state.'' . Oh my!... wise one, I did not know that! ! I am ready for lesson 2 sir!
  4. Gediid On the other hand we have educated guys who believe in Somali Weyn, beautiful, sounds astoundingly beautiful, but un peu moi ami...its not as simple as one would like to think. The same advocates of Somali Weyn are living through their very own chimera. Lost wondering war maxaaa dhacey. The simple answer is WAXBA... so where is picture gone ugly. Where Somali Weyn, gone in annals of history as an experiment gone wrong. The result of the experiment is where we find ourselves, a population of which a large number has lost their lives, others refugees in a God forsaken land and the remaining traumatised by years of conflict. Gediid akhii you are not insane at all. I'm more worried about the sanity of the 'educated' Somali Weyn clique. They remind me of Micheal Jackson denying having made a mess of his face. When he is asked war maxaa dhacey? he claims its just a minor and rare disease which runs in the family and will be ok soon. I hope Micheal gets well soon but at least he (unlike the Somali Weyn clique,) knows the Jackson Five is a thing of the past.
  5. Baashi's post included: The Italians intended to plant a colony of settlers and commercial entreprenuers in the region between the Shabeele and Juba rivers in sounthern Somalia. Their motivation was ''relieve the population at home'', to offer ''civilisizing Roman mission'' to Somalis, and increase Italian prestige through overseas colonisation. In contrast to the Italian colony, British Somaliland stayed a neglegted backwater. Daunted by the diversion of sustantial development funds to the suppression of the dervish insurection and by the 'wild' character of the anarchic Somali pastrolists. Hornafriq i think the above quotes back my opinion that the Italians found it easier to colonise than the British. The qoutes aslo state in no uncertain terms that everything you were credinting the Italians with was done in the interest of Italians. If the Italians did not lose the second world war, their plan was to settle in Somalia, the land they believed they had bought from the Sultan of Zanzibar the same way USA bought Alaska from the Czar. Dantay the resistance to the Brits was done by in broad and varied ways. It started with attacks on British ships and included refusal to pay taxes and 'pastrolists' shooting colonial 'officials ' etc. The Mullah's insurection ended in the 1920's but the Brits never had it their way untill they left. My point is there is little 'colonial legacy' in Somaliland compared to Somalia and Djibouti because of the resistace in its all shapes and forms. So please do not use 'colonial legacy' arguement against Somalind. No need to get personal
  6. Oh my! The chap even looks like a black Hamid Kaazai, I can't wait to see him wearing those robes! . Lets see what moves he makes, he could be better than the warlords, but i've got a feeling he won't live long enough to see next year.
  7. Are you actually saying the Brits were better than the Italians ? No Hornafriq I never said that, so please stop chanting the praises for Italians. I was refuting the notion that 'Somaliland is all about colonial legacy'. The way Somalilanders joined with Somalia in 1960 is an example of what the people felt about colonialism. The Brits did very little for Somaliland, but Somali Republic did even less and until recently we still had colonial hospitals and schools after 30 years. The Frech, Brits and Italians were all bad for Somalis and it is sad for you to be boastiful about what the Italians did for you. The little good things the Italians did was for their own benefit and the clue is the phrase 'cash crops'. Out of respect, i won't go into details, but the Italians in Somalia were responsible to one of the most cruel and humiliating crimes in colonial Africa. Which one of the two used planes against us? The treacherous Brits faced more resistance and lost more men than Italians and they had to use planes to save their skins. Aren't you a little bit ashamed lecturing me about about being bombed by planes?. Let me take this oppotunity to clear a few other things. I am a Somali just like ones in Djibouti or anywhere. My nationality is Somalilander. I like most you believe the land starting from Djibouti to NFD is ours. There are links between us that cannot be broken even the barbarism commited. I think most if not all us visitors to SOL forum are linked by this 'camel thread' and that is why we log on. I would welcome any Somali to live anywhere in Somaliland, and any Somalis to marry and start a family if they so wish. Do not confuse this good will with my desire to distance myself from a political union. Please do not misread my determination to keep away from ' SOMALIWEYN' with hatred or bitterness. I believe my political future is in a nation called Somaliland. This nation i still rising from rubble but has managed to give some dignity and stability for all the people living there. If anyone wants a future that will be decided by warlords somewhere in Kenya, that is fine, i wish them well and just like Djibouti, i'll respect your wishes. To go back in history the Italians received Muqdisho from the Sultan.... Received? Don't make me laugh, how come you left this bit out of your 'How Somalis were devided' article? How did they 'receive' the rest was it a but one city get the hinterland for free deal?
  8. I hope this will clarify the situation for you all and perhaps you should stop judging Somaliland. Brother you are dealing with people who do not believe Somali Republic was a failure, and their biggest dream is for warlords to form a government. Soon you will find out what hypocrisy and envy means.
  9. Dantay, all including what you now call Puntland was bought from the Sultan of Zanzibar. Unlike you lot, this clever chap knew the borders of his land. Somaliland and Somalia may both be called colonies, but Somalilanders negotieted a protectorate agreement with the Brits, while Italians arrived waving a lease and completed the purchase of 'Somalia' soon after. I would rather not spill the beans about your proud history, but since yous lot don't want colonial borders for Somaliland then the Sultan's map might help. By the way, the Brits got into a little bit of trouble when they started to break the agreements, unlike the Talianis.
  10. Entrepreneur please don't do it! lol The rest of you make me feel like a dirty ol man , are those the random thoughts that pop into your heads? As a kid I used to say to myself 'i know what you've been upto' everytime I saw a pregnant woman . 'How do they do it' pops into my head when i see an obese couple  . I won't tell you what 'thoughts' pop into my head when i see queen Betty or Maggie on TV .
  11. Baraakallah Hotstepper and all the people making good use of this section eps shujui, muslim sis, sweet gal and the rest.
  12. Am I the only one being baffled by philosophical huuu haaa? . How about the hypocrisy of the pro Somalia camp? When the elders merged Somaliland with Somalia, did anyone ask what Buhoodle thinks about it? If a majority of people in Somaliland voted for a reunion with Somalia, would anyone ask for Buhoodle's opinion? I'll give Samurai the benefit of the doubt, but this issue has been discussed before in this forum and the cheerleaders/sidekicks know this. Samurai gave a number of reasons why Somaliland wants to be seperate, but left out the most important one which is: WE DESERVE BETTER. Are Somalilands borders the only ones which have some colonial backgound? I know the KACAAN text books never taught you guys this, but what is now known as the rest of Somalia was leased and then bought by Italians from the Sultaan of Zanzibar who went on to run it as a colony. If you lot want to see where Somalia's pre colonial ended, you need to check your old rulers' maps. Somaliland will and does respect all the opinions of all its citizens, but i find it a bit strange for people wanting Somaliland to respect the opinion of some district when they themselves don't respect the opinions of Somalilanders as a whole.

  14. BY SA'ID GHAZALI, THE INDEPENDENT TUESDAY 27 MAY 2003 EVEN HER family is baffled that Hiba Daraghmeh insisted on covering herself from head to toe in dark brown, all-enveloping robe at all times. The white veil she also wore - a badge of Islamic fundamentalism - concealed her head, mouth and nose. Only her almond-shaped eyes were visible to the outside world. The shy 19-year-old student of English literature never spoke to men, and so avoided drinking coffee or tea at the cafeteria at Al Quds Open University in her home town Tubas, in the West Bank. All her of her friends were women. Even her cousin Murad Daraghmeh, 20, also a student at Al Quds, says: '' I never saw her face. I never shook hands with her.' ' The first time the world saw her young face unveiled was in a poster. Islamic Jihad released it, after her death eight days ago. Hiba was a suicide bomber. She detonated the explosives around her waist outside Amakim shopping mall in the northern Israeli town of Afula, killing three Israelis and wounding 48. Witnesses describe a horrifying scene of rubble, shattered glass and great pools of blood. As casualties lay on the pavement, emergency workers searched in the ceiling to recover body parts. One of the dead was a female security guard who tried to bar her from entering the building. With the others, she brought to 360 the victims killed by suicide bombers in 32 months of intifada. Monday last week had began like any other in Hiba's household. As usual, she said her prayers at dawn. She insisted on her preparing the family breakfast of cucumber and salad, bread, olive oil and thyme, and tea. Her mother, Fatima, 45, recalls: ''We ate. She washed the dishes''. Then Hiba went outside to the garden where her family had almond and olive trees, pomegranates and roses. Her mother says ''She watered the plants and I noticed her smelling the roses. She was laughing, and I asked her why. She told me, ' I feel that I am a new person. You will be very proud of me.' Then she left and never returned'' . Before leaving town, Hiba visited her sisters, Jihan and Mariam. Se returned a notebook to a classmate. She went to say goodbye to her grandmother. The last time anyone in Taubas saw her, she was -as always - wearing her Islamic clothes. Four hours later when she got to Afula, she was dressed in jeans. She awas also wering a belt of explosives. To the followers of Islamic Jihad, which recruited her, to many Palestinians and millions of Arabs and Muslims, Hiba is the fifth heroine of the intifada. To the Israelis and International community she is a terrorist, a callous killer. Told of the atrocity, President George Bush vowed that it would never deflect Washington from the road-map to peace. He dismissed suicide bombers as ''sad and pathetic''. Hiba's relatives, interviewed as the Israeli Cabinet was voting narrowly in favour of the Middle East road-map, say they are proud of her. They insisted they knew nothing in her plans. Only her grandmother breaks ranks to says she regretted her actions and blames those who recruited her. She says '' She was too young''. They were staying with relations now, for the family house, large and comfortable, ws dynamited by the Israelis the after the bombing. Only the garden where Hiba smelt the roses on the morning of her mission remains. On the rubble of their home, the family has plastered one of Islamic Jihad's posters of her. There are two more on a wall in Tubas. Hiba was much more devout than her family. Her mother says ''At 15, she wore the jelbab. At 16, she wore the veil.'' The jelbab is the flowing costume that envelopes the entire body. The white veil that cover all but the eyes is shunned by most Palestinian women including Hiba's mother, sisters and female relatives. ''Throw it away. This veil.'' , her grandmother remembers telling her. '' You are too young and it is too hot''. Her eldest sister recalls : ''Anytime the radio or tv played a love song, she turned it off.'' She was a model student gaining 100 per cent in her most recent exams in Palestinian studied. In English literature she scored 89 per cent. ''She saw herself as a special person.'' Jihan said. She demostrated that in her religious obsession. ''She used to pray for two hours, standing, stooping and kneeling in devotion,'' Jihan added. ''She spent most of her free time reading the Koran. When she was repeating its verses she said she felt unique. I thought she meant unique in her studies and religious feelings. I did not realize she meant she wanted to be unique in her death.'' Hiba was visibly affected by the trial of her 23-year-old brother, Bakr. He had been shot in Nablus in a demonstration to commemorate the 1948 Palestinian nakba, or the disaster anniversary when Israel was established. He was later arrested on charges of weapons possessions and carrying attack for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade. The charges sheet included possession of an explosive belt. The Israeli prosecutor requested 99-year prison term for him. On the day her brother was arrested in June 2002, the army stormed the family house. One of the soldiers tore Hiba's text books and a copy of the Koran, her mother says. A week later, there was a curfew on Tubas. As she was walking to school, an army jeep stopped her and soldiers forced her veil off. Her grandmother explains: ''She was very angry. She was full of hatred against the Jews. I believe this is the motivation for what she has done'' Aside from Hiba's religious zeal, the political environment she grew up in radicalises many Palestinians to the point where they make no distinction between soldiers and shoppers in a mall. A psychiatrist, Ahmed Abu Tawahina, explain: ''The closures and daily incursions by the Israeli army, the martyrs' funerals, the eulogies recited by militants, the graffiti revering suicide bombers as istishadyeen - the martyr-attackers - are part of the political environment that nourishes suicide bombings.'' Even yesterday the Israelis troops shot dead 11-year-old boy during a confrontation with stone throwing youths in the west bank, according to Palestinian witnesses and medics. The involvement of women in suicide bombings is a new and unsettling phenomenon for many Palestinians. Hammas, responsible for most suicide bombings, and for the four previous suicide bombings by women, opposes it because the organisation has enough male volunteers. Islam does not prohibit the participation of women in the jihad. But Islamic Jihad would not encourage it, says members, unless female suicide bombers insisted on doing it. Immediately after a suicide bomber is named, the Israeli army demolishes the suicide bomber's family house and arrests members of his or her family. The army prevents them from rebuilding their home on the same spot. Murad Daraghmeh call her a heroine. As he surveys the ruins of the family home, he says: ''I am a coward. She is courageous. I will never be an Istishahdi. I have brothers and sisters. The army would arrest them. And the army would destroy my family house.''
  15. If that means the end of Hornaafriq's anti somaliland views then it was worth the effort. Zaylici said everyone has the right for self determination I would check that statement with 'revolutionary' Hornafriq before handing over the AK to him. Is the word Hawd that offensive?
  16. Nice to see we all enjoyed ourselves. I went to the London celebration and wasn't it nice see people who were not Somalilanders enjoying themselves too! Lander, i've got an idea for next year. Why don't you make a Somaliland calender(maybe with you posing as model ) with the year 0012AU or 0013AU. AU meaning After Unioun. That would raise a lot of money for charity.
  17. The clear connection between myself and Samigyrl is our contempt for the by-products of 'Scientific Nepotism' . I would be honoured to meet this passionate sister, if she ever visits London. ---------------------------------- 'GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE, HUSBANDS COMMING HOME EARLY FROM WORK DO'-GEORGE BURNS.
  18. caveman you are right that was a joke, infact the whole piece was not serious at all. We all know qabiil meeting are not about digging wells and i never suggested to replace Islam with qabiil.
  19. thanks for that Gaashaamo, we all know what happen in the eleven years after Prof. Lewis' essay. Lander nice to see you made it through the celebration! Samakab wouldn't it be more appropriate for you to say ASTAGHFURLLAH for these actions: .'..becomming increasingly oppressive' '.....tried to harass and replace the Isakh entrepreneurs, and the millitary brutally supressed local people' etc etc SNM are the only anti Siad movement still regarded as heroes by their people. Brave in battle magmanimous in victory. Unlike some pretenders, those young men and women have kept their word and are back to their day jobs after fulfilling their duties. I'm not asking a 'cyber guul wade' to bite the hand that fed it, but if you were sincere you would quietely welcome the fall of a government that built a brewery in a muslim country. Prof. Lewis points out many errors made by Siad's people, i believe the biggest one is how they underestmated the SNM. Who do they blame for the 11 barbaric years after SNM? ----------------------------------- 'YOU CAN RUN, BUT YOU CANNOT HIDE- JOE LOUIS.
  20. I'm sorry for the for not replying sooner, got a bit carried away celebrating a few things this week. . For those of you who were too busy to party, i did it on your behalf , and here a fireworks display as a consolation; fiiiiiii booom! fiiiiiiii bang! boom! bang! bang! I asked why is Somalia the only country the TPLF Ethio GOV. managed to destabilize? HornAfriq replies; 'which out of Ethois neighbors is a fragmented, anarchic land devided into a zillion 'land.' Brief answer from a 'man' of a few words. Nevertheless, 'we' have made some progress. I think it is easy to blame certain countries and a number of 'warlords' for cancer in 'Somalia'. The truth is the 'warlords' are the 'heads' of an insect which has an 'abdomen' and 'thorax'. ENVY is the 'abdomen'and 'GREED' is the 'thorax'. This envy is a case of some people not wanting others to achieve anything. This sickness always points out the faults of others and tries to discredit any thing good others have achieved. A good example is how some people tried to jump on Geedid's article which kicked off this debate. Someone posts an article about elections in Somaliland- Someone else post a reply claiming the elections are illegal, that is pure ENVY. Someone posts the results-ENVY predicts a 'violent confrontation'. The list is endless from countless number of people. The only time they use the word Somaliland is to stir things. Gay excuses like 'aboow i have friends from Somaliland' just don't wash. The mass looting AND 'asset stripping' that took place before and after Siad left, is a case of pure GREED. The warlords' malitia is a voluteer force motivated by GREED and ENVY. In some countries GREEDY people sell their own body parts, in 'somalia' they import toxic waste in exchange for money. Hornafrq's post compares skirmishes in Djibouti and an incident at Wajir airport with what took place in Somaliland and Somalia.Have you forgotten mass graves in Somaliland and starvation in Somalia? We are talking about almost a million lives. I have also seen the statement 'somaliland does have a monopolony on massacres' is this an arguement for unity? . What an advert for unity; SOMALIA WEYN IS EQUALLY BAD FOR EVERYBODY SO PLEASE STAY WITH US!. LOL! Somalilanders are not claiming a monopoly, they are just don't want to be shareholders in any future genocides. Somalilanders are not the only people who have decided to distant themselves from Somalia. Some Somalis have taken the drastic action of taking Tanzanian Nationality and have settled there for good. Others think this is not far enough and are going to the US and other places. Hornafriq asked me when was the last time i looked at a map. The last time i saw a map of 'somalia' posted in this was the one which devided 'somalia's citizens into 'SOMALIS' and 'OTHERS'. No wonders the 'OTHERS' cant get out of there soon enough. Looks like a lot of 'passengers' wont be boarding the SOMALI WEYN train when and if it get back on track. I'm really pleased you have stopped quoting the AMHARS, but starting to qoute the YIDDISH is like jumpimg from the pan to the fire. What purpose does this racist, zionist statement serve? AND HOW DO YOU GET AWAY WITH IT? ------------------------------------------------- 'I CAN BEAT YOU PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY'- MUHAMMAD ALI.
  21. Hornafrq apologies for the harsh tone used in my last post. Yes i'm a miskiin, but when did I ever say Ethio's TPLF government was a friend of Somaliland or any Somalis? When did I suggest we abandon Ogaden, Hawd or any Somali region? This is just an exchange of views and i'm not running for any political office, so please don't smear my avatar . Yet another long post from you with nothing new it. Just another attack on Somaliland and 'exposing' Ethio's hidden agenda. Hidden agenda? I see it as open secret which everyone knows, and nothing new. Siad used to do it to them and they have always done it to Somalis. WHAT YOU SHOULD ASK YOURSELF IS, WHY IS IT WORKING SO WELL FOR THEM IN PRESENT SOMALIA AND NOT IN SOMALILAND? All governments (except most Arabic and some African ones) try to do things that are in the interest of their people. The Ethio government is doing is what it thinks is in the interest of its people. Is this 'hidden agenda' new? NO. All the previous Ethio government have done it. Should we complain and shout? NO. Because you should expect this and worse from your enemies. Did Siad give millions of dollars to TPLF and EPLF because he loved them? NO. Because he wanted to create trouble in their land and it served his interest. Siad gave the TPLF food, shelter, arms and millions of dollars but as soon they gained power they continued where Mengistu left, doing what is in their interest. The 'warlords' in Somalia gained 'power' and started satisfying their greed and doing what is in the interest of their ENEMIES. If ETHIOS stops exploiting them today, another enemy will fill the Ethio's shoes. The Ethios do not force the people in Somalia to fight among themselves. The only thing that motivates the people i call the 'problem' is GREED. 'The problem' will always find someone to assist them, like toxic waste exporters in Europe for an expample. So if you solve 'the problem' you have cleared off many enemies. You can do it by following Somaliland's example not attacking it. The people there do what is in their interest. They stood up to Siad's regime, removed Silanyo in the middle of struggle against Siad because he was not delivering and replaced him with Abdiraxman 'Tuur'. Chucked out 'Tuur' when his time was up and now we have Kahin. That's what i call PEOPLE POWER. You just blame ETHIOS. The minute Kahin STOPS ACTING INTHE INTEREST OF SOMALILAND, HE IS OUT!. Why can't you deal with the 'warlords'? BRO you are in no shape to help yourself , let alone help Ogaden or Hawd. One thing that is clear to all Somalilanders is that, the Somalis in Djibouti and NFD escaped the horrors because they were not part of Somalia. Another lesson is Somalilanders have been at their weakest as part of Somalia. Just because we don't want to be in another horrific situation it does not mean we are anti Somalia. Somaliland is a place where all Somalis, from all sorts of background live, work and travel without trouble. All Somalis benefit from Somaliland directly or indirectly. Never again would events and despots in Xamar, Addis or Nairobi change this. Somaliland will not experiment with it 'Somali weyn' again. It was a spectacular failure in anyone's language, even Irag's Al Sahaf can't spin that let alone yourself. Ethios are at their weakest in history. A landlocked country surrounded by Somaliland, Eritrea, Djibouti, Sudan, Kenya and Somalia. It is only an 'empire' in the eyes of a very weak man. If Somalia gets its act together it can also make ETHIO TPLF depend on it (like Somaliland) and not the other way round. Ethios try to wreck all her neighbours but is only successful in Somalia. Can you answer why? I SAY TOMATO HORNAFRIQ SAYS RAW MEAT PEACE
  22. Wishing all the people there the best. How nice too see it being done on Somali soil too!
  23. Hornafrique, let me start by congratulating you for being the person I have seen who quotes him/herself. As far as you are concerned, everyone who disagrees with you does not understand. The only thing your article inform us is 'the empire' is an enemy, even a 6 year old kid in Burco knows this is not 'breaking news', so please spare us part 6, 7 8 9...of this recycled theories. The way you ignore the reality and repeatedly quote 'the emperor' makes you sound like the empire's Minister of Information. The claim by the author of one of your articles that we were once enslaved by the 'empire' is an outrageous lie and i find it hilarious that you believe that Ethiopian house-maids in Somalia are dangerous. I think its time you seek help. Let me try to give you a dose of reality. Some people in the 'empire' believe 'the Somalis are comming' and are doing everything possible to prevent it. After all EPLF would never have gained independence for Eritrea without help from Somalis. The current leader's TPLF gained power through years of help from Somalis. This new 'emperor' is a despot in a rulling minority who understands this and is doing his best not to let history repeat itself. The so called 'emperor' is one of many enemies, but he is not what I call the 'the problem'. We have to look closer than that to find 'the problem'. The 'empire' is one of many enemies exploiting the 'the problem'. Instead of shouting 'evil empire!' from rooftops, i suggest you come down and try to solve the problem. This 'problem' has made us weak and killed more Somalis than the 'empire' has in 500 years. The 'empire' bombed Hargeisa for more than a decade with little damage, 'the problem' ruined it in weeks. Mengistu and Selassie fought against EPLF in and around Asmara and Masawa but they never destroyed these cities. TPLF took Addis after over 20 years of fighting, the next day people went back to their offices. The 'problem' is still killing, looting and raping 13 years after Siad. Major part of the 'problem' is the bunch of thugs meeting in Kenya(the nearest safe place) to decide who will be the leader of Somalia. What sort of future does the a government formed by the heads of the 'problem' have? As someone loyal to Somalilland (which is doing a good job of dealing with its problems and enemies) I'll leave it to the masses living in Somalia to decide what the solution is, the sooner the better. The've got my support and prayers. Hornafrique, the so called 'empire' is a rulling minority without the help of Cuban or USSR troops doing what an enemy is supposed to do. You are like a woman who wants to fight her neighbour because she is ruining her marriage, my message to you is its between you and your husband. So please stop moaning and whining. PEACE
  24. As the 18th of May approaches, i've been thinking about Somaliland and what song really suits it's mood. I've come up with this: FEELING GOOD(by Nina Simone) Bird flying high, you know how I feel Sun in the sky, you know how I feel Breeze driftin' on by, you know how I feel It's a new dawn, it's new day, it's a new life for me And i'm feeling good Fish in the sea, you know how i feel Rivers running free, you know how I feel Blossom on the tree, you know how i feel It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me And i'm feeling good. Dragonfly out in the sun, you know what I mean don't you know? Butterflies all havin' fun, you know what I mean Sleepin' in peace when the day is done, thats what I mean And this old world is a new world and a bold world for me Stars when you shine, you know how I feel Scent of the pine, you know how I feel Freedom is mine and I know how I feel It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's life for me And i'm feeling goooooooood -------------------------------------------------- Alxamdu lillah
  25. i know qabil talk is very uncool these days, especially in this forum but i think qabil could be used positively. what i mean for example is members of a certain qabil getting together and collecting money to dig a well in their village or a qabil getting together to stop one of their member doing bad deeds is a positive thing. if anyone wants to spread something good, start with yourself, then your family , then your qabil and then you take it further from there. it's about time the good people start using qabil to do good and not leave qabil to trouble makers and war mongers. i know we suffer from bad qabialad but i think it's an over reaction that people are not allowed to mention qabil names in this forum. if a person says something derogatory then it's ok for it to edited or deleted if not leave it, qabil is a fact of life. i'll like to end this post by wishing all qabaail well and mine just a bit better!
