Sanaag and Maakhir people are the winners. They fully boycotted the Somaliland election two years ago with almost zero members, and today they 100% participated the Puntland election. No one can dispute where they belong. There is nothing more democratic than the people deciding their future by vote without fear. Of the original five districts of Sanaag, only Ceel Af Weyn did not vote.

Honestly, what was Turkiga before him two decades ago other than a perennially broke, prone to coups, forever begging E.U. for admittance. Greece was more powerful and influential than them. Heck Liibiya's Qadaafi was. I remember seeing a family friend who came back to Nayroobi in 1994 after several years in Istanbuul. The guy looked like a homeless, Turkiga meel ma'aha ku haaye. Now Turkiga has one of the top airlines in the world. Biggest airport in Yurub, with one of the most visited countries. All these mega infrastructures and projects, an economic and military powerhouse. And much respected in the ummah.

Xaaji, I have no control over anything. But troops holed in Goojacade don't control LA district or any other district that belongs to Dhulos. As for Sanaag, Pland held elections there apart from Erigavo city, El Afweyn and Garadag Districts, I think that says everything.

Classic, It was worth celebrating, it was a good excise, the registered voters across PL were small, and need more awareness, and understanding of the value of 1p1v, but those registers HAVE 100% better mandate and legitimacy than those illiterate corrupt elders that used to select Mps. PL should not only select the next leader, but Mps going to Federal this way.
