Typical The people loose trust in the military The military doesn't get right information and brings atrocious acts against whole population The separatists gain support Before you know it the country is down the drain. People will not see it coming since they are so blinded by stupid president who appears to be nationalist, greater cameroon etc.

And not surprisingly the government is taking same measures as did Ethiopia with Eritrea. First step Ethiopian government took was burn books, close printing presses of Tigrinya language and force children even punish them if they speak any language other than Amhara in school yards. Then brought the army everywhere and all went downhill. It took 30 years but Eritrea finally separated and became an independent country of its own.

Great analysis there Diktoore. What is making things more profound at this moment is the ban on livestock exports which used to bring in lots of hard currency into the local market. In order for Somaliland to have stable local currnecy they need to address the different ways hard currency is leaving the country i.e. Khat imports, Food imports (i.e. Fruit and Vegetables, as well as Milk Powder, Sugar,Rice and Pasta). If there are local alternatives to that, i.e. locals start eating Fish from our seas, establish local produce to satisfy loca Veg/Fruitl market demands. And replace Pasta/Rice with locally produced Surgham and wheat. That will basically address almost 50% of the issue with currency. Because all those products locally made will be exchanged using local currency and hard currency will stay in the country.

Yes this is the biggest ever government to government discussion Somaliland participated. With allies like the UK, Ethiopia, and the UAE Somaliland is in a strong position diplomatically.

I have no sympathy for Jawari, whatsoever. The man, as the speaker of the House of Representatives, is useless, and if the corrupt fellows in parliament who’re opposed to him get enough money to unseat him—then good riddance to him. He’s had ample time to leave a legacy behind and build for Somalia a functioning and respectable legislature— but instead he has wasted his time trying to protect his own selfish power as speaker.

Mooge is Puntland "nationalist". His job is to hide any negative news out of the Kingdom.

I see Aaden Madoobe iyo xulafadiisa want him to be back as a guddoomiye baarlamaan. Maba shiixayaan. Ra'iisul wasaare Kheyre wax badso wax beel amee ku dhacdaa. Mid pro-Shariif Xasan, pro-Xabashi, pro-Imaaraad ah hadduu kursigaas ku fadhiisto instead of Jawaari wuu ka shaleyn doonaa.

An Ethiopian minister who met for a chat (talk) Siad Barre for the last time in 1989 in Djibouti described him as had deteriorated a lot. Maybe was not in good health. He was cursing Africans and Arabs and tribes. It was a bit late to focus on Religion, was too busy trying to save his regime. He was talking as if Djibouti was or still can be persuaded to be one of his provinces.
