fake demos staged and organized by failed politicians who want to stay on the payroll of secessionists. give me a break. Borama mudaharaad gilgilay kulahaa. you think reer Borama miss sleep because Somali government said the deal is dead? looool. you guys are becoming comedians again. niyoow sometimes it is better to try something real and believable. the few kids qadada laga bixiyey e la yiri soo baxa doesn't mean anything whatsoever. let me guess. Lascanood demos are also coming?

Yes those northern folks in Mogadishu are having a rough time there. They have to face all the security challenges like all all the other politicians, plus the threat of prison if they go back to Somaliland, plus the allegations of treason from their folks in Somaliland, plus the suspicion of the Koonfurians, plus the lack of legitimacy of their jobs, plus the demand from the Koonfurians to prove their "Soomaalinimo" every morning when they wake up and every night before they go to bed, plus they have to listen to the people of Mogadishu telling them (and rightly so) that they are getting too fat thanks to the tax money from Banaadir.

Djibouti is our land and it must not fall into the trap the UAE wants which is to create hostility among Somalis. There is no need to strip people of their citizenship. If true, this is a stupid move.

If this is all that Mr Bihi brought back, then it is a disappointment. UAE has the biggest embassy and training facilities in Mogadishu. They have been training Puntland forces (Saracen) since Faroole time. This looks like a face-saving exercise for the UAE and Mr. Bihi

Somalilanders, Need to observe and inspect what UAE did in Eritrea, since you are in the same boat now. The only difference is you have another issue as well that of the port. But lets see what UAE did in Eritrea; The base is assumed to be for 20 years Eritrea is payed yearly Main purpose of base was and is being used for war in Yemen, but this is never mentioned by Eritrea and UAE UAE has demanded and got eviction of Eritrean forces from the whole area so UAE has unfettered and unmonitored access to whole province/district around the base. Eritrea has dismantled and taken away her army base that was 10km away from that of UAE Eritrea was forced to cut all its relations with Qatar. Until UAE base Qatar was protector, supporter everything of Eritrea. So much so that Qatar and Ethiopia cut their diplomatic relations. It takes a lot of abuse by other countries for Ethiopia to cut diplomatic relations, but Qatar was forcing Djibouti as "peace keeper" in border with Eritrea. UAE is worst and more Bedewinly arrogant than America. This has nothing to do with DP issue, but simply military base. I will summarize what UAE base in Yemen was capable to do so much destruction to country itself.

I didn't even read yet about these news, before I commented about the demonstrations which were smoke screen to deceive the people about the base. It confirms my sources about the military base deal. THe Dubai guys put the dP World issue on the back burner and now want to talk about the base. THe old deal about the base was conditional of dubai building airports, roadways, and preferential treatment of Somaliland business and travelers. all that is out of the window. They want to lease the base yearly without building anything. AS we write this response, we do not know if Biixi accepted or not.

Then Muuse and his fellow delegates should have worn Man City Jersey to the meeting

The best thing in here is having demonstrators to pressure the MPs rather than shooting. Hopefully this culture continues and grows.

Tillamook, You think its Tigray AI playing games on you? You think this is Jewish Orthodox and Chritian Orthodox Computer that generated this? This is true and verifiable spend few minutes and you will learn why the relations between Eritrea and Ethiopia is influenced. It is not semantics, these are real people.

I can not believe Somaliland would sign a deal that denies local people to build their ports and do small trade. That is cruel.

everyone i know in puntland supports dp world to be kicked out. i don't know about southwest and other regions. niyoow there is no need for trouble with ethiopia. as matter of fact ethiopia doesnt care which port to use as long as it finds a port to use for its expanding population and economy. it could be mogadishu, djibouti, kismayo. whatever. business is business and if they are willing to pay fees, there should be no problems.

To play favoritism in the commercial business is very bad for Somaliland and Silaanyo before and Colonel Bixi continue to deny Telesom the right to conduct its business in the interest of it's shareholders and customers. As I write, GolisTeecom now has high speed broadband internet that is much faster and 500 times cheaper than Telesom and Somtel (Oman vs Djibouti lines). Both companies signed the contract to lay broadband sea lines from Salala, Oman to Bosaso and Berbera. The FG and Puntland both approved the project but Somaliland refused in order to keep very expensive monopoly high speed broadband internet for few businessman and politicians.
