Turkey and Qatar are growing distance from USA. China will support economically, but no one should expect any military/security support even indirectly against US. Djibouti has France to counter any American unhappiness. Ethiopia has Britain to counter any American unhapiness. If Somalia is going to deepen relations with China, it needs a western country to tame America. Russia would be very much interested, but that would make it even worst for Somalia, where America would create Shebab2 or some other outfit. While the manager (Khayre) is a technocrat that focuses the day to day operations, the leader (Farmaajo) should be visionary and must focus more on people. here are few examples: the manager administers, the leader innovates. the manager relies on control, the leader inspires people. the manager focuses on system and structure, the leader focuses on people.
